Russia. Romanian diplomacy condemns the press release of the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding the pro-Russian secessionist region of Transnistria, in the east of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the threatening and provocative rhetoric used. Moscow speaks of Transnistria as being part of Russia and threatens to retaliate militarily if Ukraine sends troops to that region. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest, the intentional propagation of information that has no correspondence in reality represents an extremely dangerous approach, in the current security context, in which the Russian Federation is intensifying its war of aggression against Ukraine. This attempt to artificially create tension and destabilization in the region and in relation to the Republic of Moldova is unacceptable. The Romanian MFA calls for responsibility, for abandoning aggressive, escalating and provocative rhetoric, as well as for refraining from any statements and acts that may affect the stability of the region and of the Republic of Moldova. Transnistria de facto came out of the control of the central authorities after an armed conflict that resulted in hundreds of deaths and was ended by the intervention of Moscows troops on the side of the secessionist rebels in 1992, not even a year after Chisinau proclaimed its independence. About 1,500 soldiers and important Russian arsenals are believed to still be there.
Parliament. On Monday, Romanias Parliament holds a jont session of its two chambers to mark one year since the start of Russias military aggression against Ukraine. A moment of silence will be held at the meeting, and Ihor Prokopciuk, the ambassador of Ukraine to Romania, will give a speech. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has reaffirmed Romanias multidimensional support for Kyiv. Ukraine will do everything in its power to win, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said. For their part, NATO and EU leaders say they will continue to support Ukraine from a political, economic and military point of view, in order for that country to regain its territorial integrity, in accordance with the principles of international law. They condemn Russia not only for its attack on Ukraine, but also for its irresponsible nuclear threats and its use of food and energy as weapons in hybrid warfare. NATO officials call on Russia to immediately stop the war and withdraw from the occupied territories. On the other hand, the Russian president has accused NATO of participating in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying weapons to Kyivs troops. Reuters says that the war in Ukraine has become one of attrition, and both sides are suffering increasing losses, with Russia controlling a fifth of Ukraines territory.
Sanctions. The EU promised to intensify the pressure on Moscow “until the liberation of Ukraine” and adopted, on Saturday, one day after the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a tenth package of sanctions against Russia. “We now have the most far-reaching sanctions ever, depleting Russias war arsenal and biting deep into its economy”, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The High Representative of the EU for foreign policy, Josep Borrell, warned that the bloc will continue to impose more sanctions against Moscow. The package also adds to the list of banned exports electronic components used in Russian weapons systems, including drones, missiles, helicopters, as well as specific rare earth elements, electronic integrated circuits and thermal cameras. The new sanctions also impose stricter export restrictions on 96 other entities accused of supporting Russias military-industrial sector, including, for the first time, seven Iranian entities that produce military drones used by Moscow. Additional restrictions are also imposed on imports of goods that generate significant revenue for Russia, such as asphalt and synthetic rubber.
Visit. The Speaker of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu (PSD), will pay a formal visit to Azerbaijan on Monday and Tuesday, at the invitation of the President of the National Assembly of that country, Sahiba Gafarova. On Monday, in Baku, Marcel Ciolacu will meet with the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, after which he will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame Monument. Also on Monday, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies will have meetings with Sahiba Gafarova, but also with members of the board of the state company SOCAR. On Tuesday, the Romanian official will visit the Sangachal terminal and the place where the worlds first oil well was drilled. Marcel Ciolacu will be accompanied in this visit by the Deputy Prime Minister Kelemen Hunor (UDMR), Marian Neacșu, the Secretary General of the Romanian Government, Alfred Simonis, the leader of the Social Democratic group in the Chamber of Deputies, as well as by a delegation made up of members of the management of the Romanian national companies Transelectrica and Transgaz.
Protest. Education trade unions in Romania are threatening protests next month, which may culminate in a general strike in May, if the Government continues to ignore the problems facing the system. The Federation of Free Trade Unions in Education and the Spiru Haret Trade Union Federation have expressed their discontent with the removal from the draft education law of the article relating to the updating of salaries in the field in accordance with the average gross salary per economy from the previous year. By removing this article, a beginning teacher will get a net income of some 3,900 lei (approx. 795 euros), which is lower than that of many employees with lower education than that of teachers, the trade unionists say.
Festival. The fourth edition of the Classix Festival starts today, simultaneously in Iasi (north-west) and in Chisinau in the neighboring Republic of Moldova. For seven days the two cities will host classical music concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, debates and other events. According to the organizers, more than 90 artists will come to Iasi from countries such as Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, Norway. This years program is designed around the theme of metamorphosis. Thus, Classix Festival brings to the public works and compositions by both great composers such as Vivaldi, Beethoven and contemporary composers. Classix redefines the concert experience and adapts it to contemporary audiences, encourages dialogue and brings classical music closer to the curious, the passionate and those who love to explore. The purpose of the festival is to stimulate a new generation to broaden their intellectual interests, as well as the cultural revitalization of the city. (MI)

Classix Festival
Entre le 26 février et le 4
mars, la belle ville de Iași, au nord-est de la Roumanie, un lieu chargé
d’histoire et de culture, sera l’hôte d’un événement unique, qui mêlera musique
classique et art contemporain. D’ailleurs, le Festival Classix est le premier
festival de musique classique et d’art visuel indépendant de Iași. Cette année,
à l’occasion de sa quatrième édition, pendant les 7 jours de spectacles, le
public sera invité à 8 concerts et pourra rencontrer plus de 90 personnalités
internationales de la musique classique, participer à 63 Master Classes, plusieurs débats, conférences et ateliers.
Le thème de cette édition du
festival est la « Métamorphose ». C’est par ce concept artistique, que
le Festival Classix 2023 exposera toute une série des transformations :
musique classique en musique contemporaine, littérature fantastique en musique
de film, ou bien harmonie musicale minimaliste en rythmes exotiques.
Chaque événement réunira des
artistes nationaux et internationaux, des amateurs de musique classique,
étudiants, élèves et professionnels. Nous avons discuté avec Patricia Butucel,
co-fondatrice et directrice du Festival Classix :
Patricia Butucel : « Pendant cette période nous
organisons à Iași, pour le grand public, de nombreuses activités, événements,
concerts, expositions et surprises. Dans le cadre du Festival, nous sommes
heureux de poursuivre cette année aussi la tradition du projet « Classix
in Art », Il s’agit d’un projet que nous avons lancé en 2021 et qui s’est
développé chaque année, par lequel nous soutenons les jeunes musiciens et les artistes
indépendants. L’année dernière nous avons lancé aussi la série des Master
Classes. Cette année nous en proposerons 63 sessions pour 8 spécialisations
différentes, soutenues par 15 musiciens professionnels, qui faciliteront le
perfectionnement des élèves, étudiants et diplômés des lycées et universités à
profil musical du pays. L’édition de cette année sera, en fait, un test de
maturité pour le Festival Classix. Cet événement est né en 2020, juste avant le
début de la pandémie. Malgré le contexte et les restrictions, le festival a
grandi chaque année, développant de nouvelles directions et de nouveaux projets
adjacents. Nous sommes, donc, heureux d’être de nouveau en compagnie de nos
partenaires, de notre cher public, des artistes et des experts invités. Nous
sommes persuadés que l’aventure contemporaine et classique de cette année sera
tout à fait mémorable. »
Les événements du festival se
dérouleront dans de nouveaux lieux, en dehors des salles de concert typiques. En
voici un exemple : le premier concert de piano dans une cathédrale de Iași,
accompagné par des projections visuelles.
S’y ajoute une série des
concerts thématiques inédits, qui commencera par « Natura Viva », qui met en évidence le lien entre la
foi et l’harmonie de la nature. Ensuite, « Balkan Spirit » invite à un voyage depuis l’oasis idyllique
des harmonies minimalistes vers le désert des rythmes balkaniques. Le concert
suivant, intitulé « Romantic
Rendez-Vous », nous présente un panorama d’hypostases du
romantisme : à commencer par le romantisme allemand, métamorphosé de l’élégance
au drame, et jusqu’au romantisme russe. Après, le concert « Innuendo » entraînera le public
dans une aventure mélodique pleine d’allusions aux effets sonores et aux
illusions émotionnelles. « Mystic
Tales » les invitera à connaitre une métamorphose mystique, à travers
la tradition et la fantaisie. A partir des trésors musicaux polonais, le
concert les fera plonger dans un nouvel univers sonore, créé par le Seigneur
des Anneaux, imaginé par Martin Romberg. Enfin, le spectacle intitulé en
anglais « The Past Presents the
Future » (le passé nous présente le futur) va illustrer l’évolution de
la musique, à travers les instruments les plus divers.
Le pianiste Dragoș Cantea,
co-fondateur et directeur artistique du Festival Classix, nous donne davantage
de détails sur ces concerts et les artistes participants :
Dragoș Cantea : « Dans cette édition il y aura
des artistes du monde entier : d’Espagne, des États-Unis, de Colombie, de Corée
du Sud, de Suisse ou du Royaume-Uni. Trois artistes viendront de la Corée du
Sud, dont la violoniste Hyeyoon Park, la plus jeune lauréate du concours ARD de
Munich. Elle ouvrira cette quatrième édition du Festival Classix, le 26
février, à la cathédrale romaine catholique de Iași, dans le concert « Natura
Viva », accompagnée par l’Orchestre Philharmonique d’État de Moldova et
dirigée par le roumano-américain Vlad Vizireanu. Le programme artistique, qui
se trouve à la frontière de la nature et de la spiritualité, comprend des
œuvres de Vivaldi et de Ralph von Williams. De plus, l’Ensemble danois Esbjerg viendra
en Roumanie pour la première fois. Ce groupe, composé aujourd’hui de dix
musiciens, est le plus ancien ensemble de chambre d’État de Danemark. Ils
abordent un répertoire adapté aux publics amateurs de littérature
cinématographique, mais aussi d’œuvres contemporaines. Ils seront donneront
deux concerts à Iasi. Le 28 février, ils auront un concert à caractère plus
classique, intitulé « Romantic rendez-vous », au Palais de la Culture
de Iași. Puis, le 1er mars, à la Maison de Culture des Etudiants,
ils présenteront une sélection impressionnante d’œuvres de compositeurs de bande
son originale, spécifique des pays nordiques. C’est une musique contemporaine à
laquelle nous ne sommes pas très habitués dans les conservatoires roumains ou dans
les festivals de musique contemporaine en Roumanie. De même, une présence
intéressante est un duo exotique du Danemark et de République de Moldova,
composé de Ștefan Diaconu à la flûte et de Radu Rățoi à l’accordéon. Intitulé « Moldo
duo », le groupe tiendra, le 3e mars, dans le foyer du Palais
de la Culture, un récital mixte, qui comprendra des œuvres de Piazzolla,
quelques œuvres de Ștefan Diaconu lui-même, ainsi que d’autres surprises de plusieurs
compositeurs moldaves. Le concert « Balkan Spirit » est un concert
particulier, car il présente deux parties très contrastées. Le concert débutera
avec un trio intéressant, dont les chansons visent le minimalisme et l’introspection.
Le minimalisme est une tendance à la mode, notamment dans le design, mais ici
il commence à conquérir de plus en plus les esprits et les cœurs, y compris
dans la musique classique. La deuxième partie du concert sera plus rythmée,
puisque nous profiterons de deux ensembles de percussions. Le précurseur du
printemps, le concert « Innuendo », aura lieu le 1er mars
à la Maison de la Culture des Etudiants. C’est un concert qui met en équilibre
les allusions de la musique contemporaine aux contes de fées et à la musique de
film en général. Nous entrerons dans l’univers de science-fiction de la musique
classique que nous n’avons pas encore exploré. »

Classix Festival
The city of Iasi, in north-eastern Romania, hosted this February Classix Festival, an event devoted to music lovers, young people in particular, in an attempt to facilitate the return to both classical and contemporary music. An event that brought together concerts, launches and exhibitions, in a hybrid format, adapted to the times we are living in, so participants could attend both offline and online. Anca Spiridon the festivals PR officer, told us more about Classix Festival and what it welcomed its guests with:
“Classix Festival is a classical music festival that we describe as a contemporary classic affair, and adventure that started in Iasi in 2020, and whose main goal is to attract a new audience, through the program selected, the unconventional venues and the related events. The third Classix Festival was held this year between the 13th and the 19th of February, both physically and online. The program included 8 classical music concerts, held in Iasi at the Culture Palace, the Vasile Alexandri National Theatre, the Mihai Eminescu University Library, Bals House and the Literature Museum, and was accompanied by other events, such as 10 courses in craftsmanship, an illustration exhibition, debates, seven film screenings. The program brought together more than 16 artists from 13 countries. The third editions goal was to discover beauty in a feminine and mystic form, full of strength. For instance, many of the pieces included in the program , both classical and contemporary, were composed by women. We maintained the hybrid format of the event, and so the concerts were held both in the concert halls proper, with an allowed capacity of 30%, but all the 8 concerts were broadcast online on the festivals Facebook page and on our partners pages, and they will be available for another month.”
Anca Spiridon also told us about the challenges of this years edition of the festival and its main theme.
“The main challenge was turning Classix into a bigger event, that is extending it from five days to seven and also to properly deal with the complexity of the event. There were 60 artists who came for an event where only 30% of the audience could directly enjoy the concerts in the hall, and that in itself was a big challenge. However, we are aware of the impact in the virtual world, with dozens of thousands of watchers online who had the opportunity to watch this years program, so if we draw the line, it was worth it. We had many foreign guests at the festival, including the Auner Quartet of Austria, the German cellist Gustav Rivinius, the Norwegian pianist Havard Gimse, and the Norwegian violinist Bjarne Magnus Jensen. The themes approached at the third Classix Festival were about feminism in classical music, about authenticity and about genuine emotions. We tried to present beauty in a mystic shape, both sensitive and strong and ready to impress through details.”
In the end of our talk, Anca Spiridon told us about the idea of bringing the young audience closer to classical music through such a festival.
“Something that we learnt at the 2021 edition, during a book launch is that for many of us classical music is like a train that we didnt catch on time. We rarely have the education and the openness to go deeper into it. And for us is a great joy to see that every year young people come for the pleasure of the experience as such, to listen to music and feel it without having any particular musical background or knowledge about a certain genre, composer or performer. And when we see that we manage to come so close to an audience of all ages, and mainly that most of them are young, its a great joy for us and a sign that what we do is the right thing to do. In a world that is getting more digital by the day, feelings, emotions are still important and music plays a big role in that, so we must keep on doing things like these.” (MI)

Festivalul Classix de la Iași
Aproape de granița de Nord-Est a României, la
Iași, în luna februarie, a avut loc un festival de muzică clasică – Classix
Festival, un eveniment dedicat iubitorilor de muzică, tinerilor, o reapropiere
atât de muzica clasică consacrată, cât și de cea contemporană. O propunere
culturală ce a reunit concerte, lansări și dezbateri, expoziții – toate într-un
format adaptat vremurilor pe care le traversăm – un format hibrid, offline și
online. Despre ce este Classix Festival, despre desfășurarea evenimentului și
despre surprizele pregătite publicului, am stat de vorbă cu Anca Spiridon,
PR-ul festivalului:
Classix Festival este un festival de muzică clasică sau cum îi spunem noi: o
aventură clasică contemporană ce a pornit la Iași în anul 2020, și care își
propune prin programul ales, prin locațiile neconvenționale în care se
desfășoară, și prin evenimentele conexe să atragă un public nou către muzica
clasică. Cea de-a treia ediție a Festivalului Classix se desfășoară anul acesta
în perioada 13-19 februarie, în format fizic și online, și va cuprinde 8
concerte de muzică clasică, desfășurate în locații din Iași, precum Palatul
Culturii, Teatrul Național Vasile Alecsandri, Biblioteca Centrală
Universitară Mihai Eminescu, Casa Balș, Muzeul Literaturii, și va include și
o serie de evenimente conexe: 10 cursuri de măiestrie, o expoziție de
ilustrație, o dezbatere, o prelegere, șapte proiecții de film, care așteaptă ca
exploratorii aventurii clasice contemporane să ni se alăture. Programul Classix
reunește peste 60 de artiști internaționali din 13 țări, care vor sosi la Iași
pe durata Classix. Cea de-a III-a ediție a festivalului și-a propus să
descopere frumusețea într-o formă feminină și mistică, plină de putere și în
cadrul programului o să vedeți că avem foarte multe momente interpretate de
artiști femei, compuse de compozitoare, atât de muzică clasică cât și de
clasică contemporană. Continuăm și anul acesta tradiția instaurată la Classix
în 2021, și anume formatul hibrid al evenimentului, ceea ce înseamnă că vom
avea atât concerte și prezența la evenimente în săli, cu capacitate de 30% dar
și că toate cele 8 concerte de muzică clasică vor fi difuzate online pe pagina
de Facebook a festivalului și a partenerilor noștri și vor putea fi urmărite
încă vreme de o lună după terminarea festivalului.
Care au fost
provocările acestei ediții a festivalului? Ce artiști s-au alăturat
evenimentului? Și care este tematica Classix din 2022? La aceste întrebări ne-a
răspuns Anca Spiridon, PR-ul Classix Festival:
Provocările lui Classix 2022 au fost, înainte de toate, creșterea
evenimentului, atât ca durată de la cinci la șapte zile, cât și din punctul de
vedere al complexității programului. Și, cum spuneam, cei peste 60 de artiști
invitați, acomodarea lor pentru un eveniment unde doar 30% din public a putut
să se bucure fizic de prezența în sală, poate să fie o provocare extraordinar
de mare, dar, pe de altă parte, suntem conștienți de impactul pe care
evenimentul îl are în online, de zecile de mii de privitori care s-au bucurat
de programul de muzică clasică adus anul acesta în cadrul festivalului și, așa
că trăgând linie, putem spune că absolut tot are sens și merită. Cei peste 60
de artiști care ni se alătură la Classix 2022 vin din 13 țări, iar dintre ei mă
bucur să îi menționez pe Auner Quartet din Austria, pe violoncelistul german
Gustav Rivinius, pianistul norvegian Håvard Gimse, de
asemenea alături de noi, la două concerte, o să fie un cvintet de suflători
deosebit de special aflat la intersecția dintre Danemarca, România și Insulele
Feroe, și unul dintre starurile festivalului este violonistul norvegian Bjarne
Magnus Jensen. Tematicile abordate în cadrul celei de-a treia ediții a Classix
au să sublinieze feminismul în muzica clasică, autenticitatea și
visceralitatea, dar o să celebreze și trăirile umane autentice. Iar, intrând în
lumea pe care am pregătit-o pentru această ediție, frumusețea o să se vadă
într-o formă feminină mistică, plină de putere și gata să impresioneze prin
detalii, iar instinctul primordial o să ne poarte pe toți către abandonul
temporar al melodiei și al ritmului.
În finalul
discuției noastre, Anca Spiridon ne-a mărturisit despre apropierea publicului
tânăr de muzica clasică prin intermediul evenimentului.
O
asociere deosebit de interesantă, apropo de muzica clasică, pe care am aflat-o
la ediția din 2021, în timpul unei lansări de carte, este că pentru mulți
dintre noi muzica clasică este un tren în care nu ne-am urcat la timp. Avem rar
educația și deschiderea necesare pentru a o aprofunda. Și pentru noi e o mare
bucurie să vedem că de fiecare dată, la fiecare ediție a Classix, publicul
tânăr vine alături de noi pentru plăcerea experienței, pentru plăcerea de a
asculta muzica și de a simți ceea ce le transmite, fără niciun soi de
background muzical extraordinar de doct, fără a o fi ascultat cu un anumit
sistem, compozitor cu compozitor, sau interpret cu interpret. Și, când vedem că
reușim să ne apropiem de public de toate vârstele, și mai ales publicul tânăr
este preponderent la Classix, ne bucură foarte tare și pentru noi e un semn că
ceea ce facem, facem bine. Într-o lume care este digitalizate, totuși
sentimentul și trăirile pe care le trezește în noi muzica sunt importante și
contează și că trebuie să ne continuăm treaba cât mai bine. -

Pentru mai mult de 2 miliarde de creştini, 25 Decembrie este sărbătoarea Naşterii Domnului, a patra mare sărbătoare după Paşti, Rusalii şi Vinerea Mare. Insa abia în secolul XIX, Crăciunul a devenit cu adevărat popular ca sărbătoare a copiilor, a darurilor şi a carităţii, iar responsabil de această mentalitate este Charles Dickens. În 1843, Dickens publica nuvela “Colind de Crăciun”, despre un om morocănos şi mizantrop care se transformă, după ce primeşte vizita a patru fantome în ajunul Crăciunului, poveste ilustrată apoi şi transpusă în filme şi desene animate. În lume, fiecare comunitate de creştini sarbatoreste Crăciunul în funcţie de tradiţiile culturii locului şi de obiceiurile păgâne din momentul convertirii, şi aşa se face că ritualurile specifice sunt numeroase şi foarte diferite.
Municipiul Iaşi, desemnat a fi Capitala Tineretului din România în 2019-2020, va fi gazda, în perioada 16-22 februarie 2020, a noului eveniment ClassiX Festival, dedicat muzicii clasice şi artelor vizuale. Potrivit unui comunicat de presă, această primă ediţie a manifestării propune o serie de concerte cameral-sincretice şi reuneşte o serie de tineri artişti cu cariere deja stabilite. Temele concertelor sunt diverse şi vor ilustra tradiţii naţionale, istoria oraşului, promovarea diversităţii culturale, cât şi a patrimoniului autohton la nivel naţional. ClassiX Festival redefineşte experienţa clasică de concert, unind la Iaşi cei 20 de artişti internaţionali care ne vor prezenta povestea acestei prime ediţii în 6 capitole muzicale diferite. De la Beethoven la Rahmaninov sau Enescu, ClassiX va fi un maraton emoţional, pe parcursul căruia vom asista la un veritabil summit diplomatic şi cultural între 10 naţiuni, dominat de o balanţă interdisciplinară între business, artă şi educaţie, declară prin intermediul comunicatului de presă Dragoş Andrei Cantea, directorul artistic al festivalului. În cadrul festivalului se va organiza si o serie de dialoguri cu tinerii artişti interesaţi de teme precum lanţurile valorice dintre cultură, autorităţi şi afaceri, viitorul muzicii clasice, producţia concertelor, arta traiului din artă, coordonate de rectori, directori artistici, compozitori şi profesori aparţinând academiilor scandinave, se mai menţionează în comunicatul organizatorilor.
Andrei Margeloiu, un tanar de 22 de ani, din Targu-Jiu, a fost admis la programul de masterat al Universitatii din Cambridge si studiaza inteligenta artificiala. In 2019, el a absolvit Facultatea de Informatica a University College London (UCL), iar in primul an a fost declarat cel mai bun student. Tanarul a absolvit Colegiul National Tudor Vladimirescu din Targu-Jiu, in 2016, iar in timpul liceului a obtinut trei medalii de aur la Olimpiada Nationala de Informatica. Plecat in Marea Britanie, in 2016, Andrei a fost declarat cel mai bun student dupa primul an de studiu. “Am plecat dupa ce am terminat liceul sa studiez informatica. Am fost primit ca orice alt student, in niciun fel special. Cum am reusit sa ma remarc? A fost faptul ca am venit cu experienta de la Olimpiada Nationala de Informatica din Romania. Am facut parte si din echipa care a reprezentat universitatea romana. S-a si intamplat sa obtin rezultate bune. Acesta a fost un mod in care m-am remarcat si un alt mod a fost faptul ca am obtinut note foarte mari in primul an si am fost declarat si cel mai bun student”, a declarat Andrei Margeloiu pentru Mediafax. Insa, desi numele lui este cunoscut in strainatate, fiind ofertat de companii internationale din domeniul informaticii, Andrei Margeloiu spune ca din Romania nu l-a cautat nimeni niciodata. Nici pentru el, in acest moment, Romania nu este o optiune, pentru ca i se pare ca lucrurile se schimba greu.
Institutul pentru cultură și istorie germană a Europei de sud-est al Universității Ludwig-Maximilian München anunță Premiul Spiegelungen pentru proză scurtă în limbile germană, română și ucraineană pe anul 2020. Premiul este în valoare de 1.500 Euro pentru fiecare limbă. Textele premiate de trei jurii specializate vor fi traduse în celelalte două limbi și publicate atât în revista Spiegelungen, cât și în alte reviste literare de renume. Revista Spiegelungen — Revistă de cultură și istorie germană a Europei de sud-est – se preocupă cu teme științifice, foiletonistice și literare din spațiul carpatodunărean și schimbul reciproc de influențe cu cultura germană, respectiv central-europeană mai ales sub aspect istoric, literar, lingvistic și cultural. Multe contribuții din Spiegelungen au ca subiect migrația și schimbările din societate, treceri peste granițe și decalaje temporale, în timp ce pun întrebări în legătură cu apartenențe, identități și rupturi biografice. Autoarele și autorii pot înainta un text nepublicat în limba germană, ucraineană sau română, care nu poate depăși 3.000 de semne (inclusiv spații) și va fi anonimizat. Aplicațiile vor fi însoțite de un CV scurt și predate până la data de 29 februarie 2020.
