    Weekend sportiv

    Echipa română de fotbal FCSB a făcut un pas mare către optimile Ligii Europa. Miercuri, în primul meci din faza play-off a competiţiei, campioana României a trecut, în deplasare, de PAOK Salonic, cu 2 la 1. Formaţia elenă a deschis scorul în minutul 21, prin tanzanianul Mbwana Samatta. La capătul primei reprize, brazilianul Taison de la PAOK a primit al doilea cartonaş galben, iar formaţia greacă a rămas in inferioritate numerică. FCSB a ştiut să profite, în a doua repriză, şi a marcat de doua ori, prin Andrei Gheorghiţă, în minutul 50, şi camerunezul Joyskim Dawa, zece minute mai târziu. Partida retur va avea loc joia viitoare.

    Rămânem la fotbal, pentru a nota că în weekend sunt programate jocuri din etapa a 27-a a campionatului Superligii române. Vineri, două partide: Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe cu Hermannstadt şi Universitatea Craiova cu Oţelul Galaţi. Sâmbătă, Petrolul se confruntă, la Ploieşti, cu UTA, iar Dinamo primeşte, la Bucureşti, Farul Constanţa. Duminică, Poli Iaşi joacă, pe teren propriu, cu CFR Cluj, iar FCSB merge la Buzău pentru a întâlni Gloria. Ultimele două meciuri ale etapei, luni: Universitatea Cluj cu Unirea Slobozia şi Rapid Bucureşti cu FC Botoşani. În clasament conduc CFR Cluj şi FCSB, ambele cu câte 46 de puncte. La un punct în urmă stau alte trei echipe: Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Cluj şi Dinamo.

    Sâmbătă, la Botoşani, echipa de rugby a României întâlneşte Portugalia. Jocul va decide câştigătoarea Grupei B din Rugby Europe Championship, al doilea eşalon continental al sportului cu balonul oval. În primele două jocuri din grupă, ambele echipe au trecut de Germania şi Belgia, asigurându-şi deja unul din primele două locuri ale clasamentului şi calificarea la Cupa Mondială din 2027.

    La sfârşitul acestei săptămâni are loc o nouă etapă în competiţiile europene de handbal feminin. În Liga Campionilor, Grupa A, Gloria Bistriţa-Năsăud joacă sâmbătă, acasă, cu echipa franceză Metz, iar CSM Bucureşti întâlneşte duminică, în deplasare, formaţia norvegiană Storhamar. În clasament, CSM se află pe locul 3, iar Gloria, pe 7. În Grupa B, Rapid Bucureşti stă. Vicecampioana României ocupă, în clasament, locul 7.

    În EHF European League, ambele echipe române joacă sâmbătă. În Grupa A, Dunărea Brăila va evolua în Spania, la Elche. Formaţia antrenată de danezul Jan Leslie Lund se află pe locul 2 în clasament, la egalitate de puncte cu prima clasată, echipa germană Thüringer. În Grupa B, SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, liderul clasamentului, va întâlni, acasă, Borussia Dortmund.

    All the Romanian players taking part in the Australian Open have left the competition. Victor Cornea, the last of the Romanians to be outplayed, lost the second round of the mens doubles, in which he partnered with Indias Nsriram Balaji. They were defeated on Saturday 6-3, 6-3 by Marcelo Arevalo (El Salvador) and Mate Pavic (Croatia), seeded no 10. On Friday, the last Romanian in the womens doubles had also been left behind: Ana Bogdan (Romania) and Rebeka Masarova (Spain) lost to seed no 6 Desirae Krawczyk (USA) / Ena Shibahara (Japan), 6-3, 6-1, in the second round. The other Romanian players in the womens doubles, Sorana Cîrstea and Monica Niculescu, had lost in the first round.



    In the womens handball Champions League, Group A, CSM Bucharest Sunday defeated the Swedish side Sävehof, 35 to 26. The Romanian champions are placed 3rd in the group and are due to play away from home against group leader Györ, in two weeks time. In Group B, Rapid lost away from home to the Danish team Ikast, 29 to 30. Three rounds before the end of the group stage, the Bucharest-based team is ranked 7th, and their next game is at home against Hungarys Ferencváros. The top 2 teams in the group go straight into the quarter-finals, while the teams ranking 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in each group move into the playoff stage.



    In the EHF European Leagues Group C on Saturday, Gloria Bistriţa drew 19-all at home against Nantes. The French side tops the group ranking with 5 points, on a par with second-ranked Gloria, but with a better goal average. Also on Saturday, in Group D, CSM Târgu Jiu took on Sola (Norway). The Scandinavian team won 40 to 29, with CSMs third defeat in a row sending them to the bottom of the group ranking. On Sunday in the competitions Group B, Dunărea Brăila defeated Lokomotiva Zagreb in Croatia, 30 to 29, and stays second in the group ranking, 2 points behind the group leader Thüringer (Germany).



    This past weekend saw matches counting towards the 22nd round of the Romanian football Super League. On Friday in Sfântu Gheorghe, Sepsi beat Politehnica Iaşi 6-0, and in Bucharest Rapid outplayed FC U Craiova 4-3. On Saturday, Universitatea Cluj won at home against Hermannstadt 2-1, and Petrolul defeated Dinamo Bucharest 1-0. On Sunday, bottom-ranking FC Botoşani managed a surprising 1-0 win against second-placed CFR Cluj. It was the Botoşani clubs second victory this championship, and the match cost the CFR Cluj coach Andrea Mandorlini his post. Also on Sunday, Farul Constanţa defeated Universitatea Craiova 2-1 away from home. The rounds last 2 matches take place on Monday: FC Voluntari vs Oțelul Galați and FCSB vs UTA Arad.

    The Romanian men’s handball
    club Dinamo Bucharest trounced the Bosnian side Izviđač 52-24 on Tuesday on
    home turf in a Group G fixture of European League. The Romanian club had an
    exceptional first half, scoring 27 goals and conceding 7. Dinamo dominated the
    second half as well, scoring 25 times although conceding more goals. Andryi Akimenko
    of Ukraine was Dinamo’s top scorer with 11 goals. In the other Group G fixture,
    Germany’s Fusche Berlin won 24-22 against Chambery of France. Dinamo will next
    play Chambery away from home.


    Also in the European League,
    in Group H, CSM Constanța won against Tatabánya of Hungary, 29-24. George Buricea’s trainees had a good start, ending
    the first half 16-9. In the second half the Hungarian side upped its game,
    managing to even the odds on minute 49, score 20-20. CSM however took the lead
    again and eventually won with a five-goal difference. The top scorers for the
    Romanian side were Vitaly Komogorov of Russia and Mikalay Alyohin of Belarus,
    both with five goals. In the other group fixture, Sporting Lisbon defeated the
    Polish club Chrobry Głogów, 37-20. CSM will next play Sporting next Tuesday at
    home.


    In women’s handball,
    European inter-club competitions resume this week after the 2024 European
    Championship preliminaries scheduled last week. In Champions League in Group A,
    CSM Bucharest is playing Brest Bretagne of France at home. The Romanian
    champions are ranked 4th in the group tables, with 4 points after
    two wins and two losses. In Group B, Rapid Bucharest is playing Metz of France
    on Sunday. Rapid has 4 points following a win, a draw and two losses and is
    ranked 6th in the group tables. (VP)

    Rumäniens Vertreter haben bei den Europameisterschaften im Ringen, die letzte Woche in Budapest stattfanden, insgesamt vier Medaillen gewonnen. Drei davon wurden bei den Frauen errungen, und zwar von Andreea Ana, die in der Klasse bis 55 kg Gold gewann, sowie von Alina Vuc und Kriszta Incze, die in den Klassen bis 50 bzw 65 kg jeweils Bronze holten. Bei den Männern gewann Nicu Ojog Silber im griechisch-römischen Stil in der Klasse bis 87 kg.



    Weiter geht es mit Handball. Die Damenmannschaft von Minaur Baia Mare hat sich am Sonntag für das Halbfinale der EHF European League qualifiziert. Das Team aus Maramureș kam im Rückspiel des Viertelfinales gegen das norwegische Team Sola nicht über ein 29:29-Unentschieden hinaus. Im Hinspiel des Doppelspiels hatte Minaur zu Hause allerdings mit 40:32 deutlich gewonnen. Die zweite rumänische Mannschaft in der European-League, SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, schied hingegen im Viertelfinale aus, nachdem sie am vergangenen Sonntag zu Hause gegen die dänische Mannschaft Herning Ikast mit 33:39 und am Samstag in Dänemark mit 28:33 verloren hatte. Das dänische Team aus Viborg und das deutsche Team Bietigheim nehmen ebenfalls an Final Four Runde teil. Die Endrunde des letzten Jahres hatte in Baia Mare stattgefunden. Die französische Mannschaft Nantes Atlantique gewann und der rumänische Gastgeber Minaur wurde Dritter.



    Am Wochenende fanden in der ersten rumänischen Fußballliga die Begegnungen des dritten Spieltags der Play-off- bzw. Play-out-Phase statt. Am Freitag trennten sich im Play-Out der FC U Craiova und CS Mioveni im Stadion der Oltener mit einem 1:1-Unentschieden, und in Ploiesti schlug Dinamo Bukarest Chindia Targoviste mit 2:0. Am Samstag besiegte UTA in Arad Gaz Metan Mediasch mit 4:0 und in Bukarest, im neuen Stadion im Stadtteil Giulești, schlug Rapid den FC Botoșani mit 3:0. Letztes Spiel am Montag – Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe empfängt Academica Clinceni. Rapid und der FC Botoșani führen die Play-Out-Tabelle mit jeweils 29 Punkten an. Es folgt die UTA mit 26 Zählern.



    In den Playoffs besiegte der FC Voluntari am Samstag Farul Constanta mit 1:0. Am Sonntag, im Derby der Runde in Bukarest, schlug Universitatea Craiova den FCSB mit 2:0. Am Montag findet das letzte Spiel der Runde statt: CFR Cluj – FC Argeș. Cluj führt die Tabelle mit 42 Punkten an. Es folgen der FCSB mit 37 und die Universitatea Craiova mit 33 Zăhler.

    Sportevents: Handball-EHF European League: Brăila trifft auf Baia Mare

    Wir beginnen mit Handball: Die Frauenmannschaft von Dunărea Brăila hat sich für das Viertelfinale der EHF European League qualifiziert. Dies nach einem 36:32-Heimsieg gegen die Russinnen von Kuban Krasnodar im entscheidenden Spiel der Gruppe D. Dunărea, das genau einen Sieg brauchte, um in die nächste Phase des Wettbewerbs zu gelangen, trifft im Viertelfinale auf den Sieger der Gruppe C, Minaur Baia Mare, ebenfalls aus Rumänien.



    Bei den Herren hat sich Minaur Baia Mare für das Viertelfinale der EHF European League qualifiziert, nachdem das Team am Samstag im Achtelfinal-Rückspiel die ukrainische Mannschaft Donbas Mariupol mit 34:26 besiegte. Auch das Hinspiel hatte Minaur mit 24:23 für sich entschieden. Die andere rumänische Mannschaft im Wettbewerb, der CSM Bukarest, schied hingegen aus: Die Hauptstädter gewannen zwar das Hinspiel zu Hause gegen die griechische Mannschaft AEK Athen mit 28:23, alllerdings unterlagen sie im Rückspiel auswärts mit 23:29.



    Der rumänische Eishockey-Erstligist Corona Kronstadt hat das Heimspiel gegen die ungarische Mannschaft Ferencvaros Budapest mit 2:5 verloren. Die Partie in der Olympia-Halle in Kronstadt zählte für den regionalen Wettbewerb Erste Liga. Die Ungarn von Ferencvaros sind Tabellenführer – ihnen gelang es in dieser Saison, alle rumänischen Mannschaften in der Ersten Liga zu bezwingen: den SC Miercurea Ciuc, den CS Gheorgheni und Corona Kronstadt.



    Und schließlich Fußball: Am vergangenen Wochenende fanden die Partien des 24. Spieltags der rumänischen Meisterschaft statt. Am Freitag besiegte der FC Argeș den FC Voluntari mit 1:0 und auch Universitatea Craiova sicherte sich einen 1:0-Heimsieg gegen den FC Hermannstadt. Am Samstag endete in Sfântu Gheorghe die Begegnung der Heimmannschaft Sepsi gegen Academica Clinceni mit einem 0:0-Unentschieden, während in Bukarest die Hausherren vom FCSB einen 1:0-Sieg gegen Chindia Târgoviște einfuhren.


    Am Sonntag holte der CFR Klausenburg einen 1:0-Auswärtssieg bei Gaz Metan Mediasch, während Astra in einem Heimspiel Dinamo Bukarest mit 2:0 besiegte. Die letzten beiden Partien des Spieltags bestreiten am Montag UTA Arad und der FC Botosani sowie Viitorul Constanta und Politehnica Iasi. Der FCSB und der CFR Cluj führen die Tabelle mit jeweils 51 Punkten an, gefolgt von Craiova mit 47 Punkten.

    Wir beginnen mit Handball und den Europapokal-Spielen der rumänischen Damenmannschaften.


    In der Gruppe B der Champions League verlor der SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea am Sonntag zu Hause mit zehn Toren Unterschied gegen die russische Mannschaft ZSKA Moskau, das Endergebnis: 24:34. In der Gruppenwertung fiel der rumänische Meister auf den 7. Platz zurück, den vorletzten Gruppenplatz. Die Südrumäninnen haben nur 4 Punkte auf dem Konto und sind damit punktgleich mit Borussia Dortmund, die auf Platz 6. rangiert. Um im Wettbewerb weiterzukommen, muss Vâlcea am Ende der Gruppenphase unter den ersten 6 rangieren.



    In der Gruppe A wurde die Begegnung zwischen dem CSM Bukarest und dem russischen Vertreter Rostow am Don aufgrund von Coronavirus-Infektionen innerhalb der russischen Mannschaft verschoben. Diese Partie hätte das rumänische Team am Samstag auswärts in Russland bestreiten sollen. Der CSM Bukarest belegt mit 11 Punkten den 4. Platz in der Gruppe A.



    Im zweiten kontinentalen Wettbewerb, der European League, unterlag Dunărea Brăila in der Gruppe D, in der eigenen Halle, der ungarischen Mannschaft aus Siofok mit 25:27. Die rumänische Mannschaft belegt nun mit 3 Punkten aus ebenso vielen Spielen den 2. Platz in der Gruppe. In der Gruppe C spielte Minaur Baia Mare am Sonntag gegen die russische Mannschaft Astrachanotschka. Die Gastgeberinnen gewannen mit 33:27. Das Team aus der Maramuresch belegt mit 2 Punkten aus zwei Spielen den 3. Platz in der Gruppe.



    Und zum Schluss Fußball und der 18. Spieltag der ersten rumänischen Liga. Am Freitag bezwang Chindia Târgovişte in Buftea bei Bukarest Academica Clinceni mit 2:1 und in der Bukarester National Arena gewann der FCSB ebenfalls mit 2:1 gegen den FC Voluntari. Am Samstag fanden drei Partien statt: In Sfântu Gheorghe setzten sich die Hausherren von Sepsi mit 4:1 gegen Astra Giurgiu durch. In Arad schlug der FC Argeş die Gastgeber von UTA mit 2:1. Und schließlich endete die Begegnung zwischen Universitatea Craiova und Viitorul Constanţa mit einem 1:1-Unentschieden.



    Am Sonntag gewann Gaz Metan Mediasch zu Hause gegen Politehnica Iaşi mit 2:1. Im zweiten Spiel des Tages setzte sich der FC Botoşani im eigenen Stadion mit 4:0 gegen Dinamo Bukarest durch. Am Montag wird in Mediasch die letzte Partie des 18. Spieltags ausgetragen – dabei empfängt der FC Hermannstadt den Meister CFR Klausenburg. Tabellenführer ist der FCSB Bukarest mit 41 Punkten, es folgt Klausenburg mit 37 Zählern.
