    Mariţa

    Fin 2017, « Mariţa », le premier long métrage de Cristi Iftime, sortait en salle après avoir remporté le Grand prix du jury FEDEORA du Festival international du film de Karlovy Vary (section « East of the West ») et le trophée de la 14e édition du Festival international du film indépendant « Anonimul ». La simplicité de sa mise en scène a été un des atouts de ce film, qui se focalise sur la vie de tous les jours d’une famille dont les membres, bien que séparés après le divorce des parents, se réunissent autour d’un repas de Noël et se réjouissent spontanément de l’énergie positive qui se glisse dans leurs vies.

    L’histoire est fondée sur un geste qui a hanté pendant longtemps le réalisateur Cristi Iftime: bien que divorcée depuis des années, une femme suit, par habitude, son ex-mari, jusqu’à la voiture ayant appartenu jadis à la famille, une Dacia baptisée « Mariţa ».

    N’était-il pas risqué de construire une histoire destinée à l’écran autour d’un geste qui pouvait paraître anodin ? Cristi Iftime : « Ce geste-là m’a beaucoup impressionné, il m’a hanté – et je dois dire que d’habitude mes films naissent de ce genre d’instants qui me hantent. Je n’ai pas pensé, alors, au risque de prendre ce geste comme point de départ. Il est vrai qu’en général la fameuse règle selon laquelle on doit renoncer aux éléments que l’on chérit le plus dans une histoire se vérifie, mais pour «Mariţa», je n’en ai pas tenu compte. A un moment donné, j’ai eu peur, en pensant que le film ne répondrait peut-être pas à mes attentes, mais je dois dire, sans fausse modestie, que ça a marché. Nous avons essayé de condenser le plus de choses dans une structure qui devait rester simple et aérée. »

    Pour Cristi Iftime, un des enjeux du film a été de faire en sorte que les spectateurs comprennent son personnage Sandu, au lieu de le juger. Sandu, le propriétaire de Mariţa, est père de trois garçons, collectionneur passionné de timbres, un homme qui affirme aimer la vie et qui souhaite raconter ses expériences et ses aventures extraconjugales. Cette famille, qui n’en est plus une, se réunit fortuitement pour fêter Noël.

    Cristi Iftime : « C’est l’aliénation qui m’a intéressé le plus, le fait qu’ils sont tous là, bien qu’ils ne vivent plus ensemble depuis longtemps. Ils se rencontrent et ils passent de bons moments dans une ambiance amicale et conviviale. Pourtant, l’instant d’après, ce lien se défait, c’étaient les circonstances qui les avaient amenés à se conduire comme une famille. Il en est de même pour le geste final, celui de la femme qui suit par habitude son ex-mari vers la bagnole, pouvant faire croire qu’ils forment encore une famille, bien que ce ne soit pas le cas. Si des tensions et des scandales avaient existé entre eux, ce beau côté de leur rencontre aurait été compromis et inutile. »

    « Mariţa » est un road movie qui tâche de surprendre un moment de transition dans la vie d’un jeune, celui où il se détache de son père. Il s’agit de Costi, un des fils de Sandu, le plus enclin à le juger. Road movie dans l’espace physique, il l’est aussi dans le monde intérieur du personnage. Cette complexité a séduit l’acteur Alexandru Potocean, un des meilleurs représentants de la nouvelle vague. Il a déjà joué une trentaine de rôles dans des films roumains ou dans des coproductions internationales, collaborant avec les réalisateurs Radu Muntean, Cristian Mungiu, Cristi Puiu, Constantin Popescu.

    Alexandru Potocean explique : « Je me suis senti très attiré par ces relations tissées autour du père de famille. Il y avait là quelque chose qui me semblait très familier. Et j’ai commencé à comprendre le personnage Sandu, j’ai également compris la façon dont un de ses fils, Costi, se rapportait à son père. Au début, lors des répétitions, nous avons voulu pénaliser Sandu, le pénaliser constamment. Seulement, en fin de compte, ce n’était pas ça et ce n’était pas tout. Il ne s’agissait pas de juger Sandu, mais d’essayer plutôt de le comprendre et de comprendre sa façon de voir la vie – même si ça ne nous plaît pas ou ne nous convient pas. »

    Considéré comme l’acteur le plus prolifique du moment, Adrian Titieni a décroché le prix spécial Silver Hugo au Festival de Chicago pour le rôle principal du long-métrage « Baccalauréat » de Cristian Mungiu et 5 trophées Gopo en Roumanie – 3 pour le meilleur acteur dans un rôle principal et 2 pour le meilleur acteur dans un rôle secondaire. Rien qu’en 2017, il a joué 12 rôles dans des courts- et des longs-métrages. Dans « Mariţa », il n’en était pas à sa première collaboration avec Cristi Iftime. Il avait déjà joué dans « 15 juillet », un court-métrage qui a figuré dans la sélection officielle du Festival de Berlin.

    Adrian Titieni : « Le parcours du réalisateur Cristi Iftime est très intéressant, car, à part ses études d’art théâtral et cinématographique, il est diplômé de la faculté de philosophie. Sa vision de la mise en scène est par conséquent tout à fait différente. Il est extrêmement attentif aux détails. J’aime beaucoup sa façon de penser et de voir les choses. Cela me fait plaisir de travailler avec des gens qui voient au-delà de la réalité immédiate, bien que cette approche soit un véritable défi. Je me réjouis que le réalisateur Cristi Iftime ait pensé à me distribuer, le rôle est très incitant et en même temps très difficile. Je ne sais pas si j’ai vraiment été à la hauteur. »

    One of the qualities that were appreciated by European critics was ‘the simplicity in directing this story focused on the everyday life of a family whose members, though separated by the divorce of the parents, enjoy spontaneously every meeting and enjoy the positive energy in their lives’. The story, says director Cristi Iftimie, started from an event that its been on his mind. Even thought they had separated a long time before, out of sheer habit, a woman and a man head towards the couple’s old car, a Dacia they had baptized Marita.



    One of the questions we asked Cristi Iftime was related to building a cinematic story starting from a gesture that may seem insignificant: “That gesture was very poignant to me, it has been with me ever since, and usually my movies start off from events like that, that stay with me. I didn’t even give a thought to the risk. It is true that the ‘kill your darlings’ rule – which states that you should give up on the elements that you hold most dear in a story – usually works, but I ignored that when making Marita. At some point I was afraid the movie would not live up to my expectations, but, without false modesty, it seems to have worked out just fine. We tried to condense as many things as possible in the movie, but trying to keep it loose and simple at the same time.



    One of the ideas of the movie, according to the director, is for Sandu, Marita’s owner and father to three children, passionate about stamp collecting, self-declared lover of life, eager to tell his story, to be understood by the viewers without passing judgment. The same goes for Costi, one of Sandu’s three sons, apparently the most exigent when it comes to his father’s excesses, as it also happens when the family gathers around the Christmas table.



    Cristi Iftimie: “I’ve always been interested in alienation, the fact that they meet there, even though they are not together in any real way. They meet and feel good for a few hours in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. But then these ties unravel, it was only circumstance that had them look and behave like a family, though they are not one. If there had been tensions and fights among them, this beautiful part of the meeting would have been a failure, it would have been pointless.



    Marita is a road movie that tries to capture an important moment in the life of a young man, that of separating from his father. It is a road movie physically, but also on the inside of the character, and this complexity is what attracted actor Alexandru Potocean, one of the best actors of the new wave, with over 30 titles under his belt, in domestic and international movies, working with famous directors like Radu Muntean, Cristian Mungiu, Cristi Puiu, and Constantin Popescu.



    Alexandru Potocean: “At a certain point, all this fabric of relationships built around the father started to interest me very much. I found something very familiar in that. This is how I started grasping the character of Sandu, understanding how Costi relates to him. In rehearsals, I started with the idea of prosecuting Sandu, most of the time. However, in the end it’s not all about that. That happens too, but the idea is not to judge Sandu. It is rather an attempt to understand him and the way he relates to life. Even if we don’t like it.



    Adrian Titieni, who got the Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago Film Festival for his role in Cristian Mungiu’s Graduation, winner of five Gopo awards, three for best leading actor and two for best supporting actor, is considered the most prolific actor right now. In 2017 alone he acted in 12 feature length and short movies. This is not the first time he worked with Cristi Iftimie. He also acted in the short film July 15, which made it through selection at the Berlin Film Festival.



    Adrian Titieni: “Cristi is a director with a very interesting background. He has a degree in film, but also has another in philosophy, which provides him with a very different outlook on film directing. He has an extraordinary attention for detail. He has a vision and a way of thinking that I like very much. I love working with people who see beyond immediate reality. This approach is a challenge for me. I am glad he cast me in this role, which is super-challenging, and difficult at the same time. At the risk of repeating myself, I don’t know if I lived up to expectations.



    The movie’s script was written by Anca Buja and Cristi Iftimie, Luchian Ciobanu was cinematographer, with editing done by Dragos Apetri. Costumes were designed by Alexandra Alma Ungureanu, set design was done by Malina Ionescu, and the sound design was signed by Dan Stefan Rucareanu, Alexandru Dumitru and Florin Tabacaru. The producers were Ada Solomon and Radu Stancu, and the movie features in the main roles Alexandru Potocean, Adrian Titieni, Lucian Iftime, Victoria Cocias, Andrei Hutuleac, Bogdan Dumitrache and Ana Ciontea.

    Das Festival von Karlovy Vary hat dem Film einen Preis verliehen und auch im Inland wurde er beim Indie-Festival Anonimul“ prämiert. Die europäischen Kritiker überzeugte die — wie es in der Laudatio hei‎ßt — einfach gehaltene Regie dieser Alltagsgeschichte einer Familie, deren Mitglieder trotz Trennung der Eltern spontan die positive Energie einer Begegnung zu genie‎ßen verstehen“.



    Die Story hat mit einem Vorfall zu tun, der den Regisseur Cristi Iftime nicht mehr loslie‎ß: Obwohl seit langer Zeit getrennt, gehen eine Frau und ein Mann nach einer Begegnung nicht auf ihre aktuellen Autos zu, sondern auf ihr altes Familienauto — einen Dacia, den sie früher auf den weiblichen Namen Mariţa getauft hatten. Eine offenbar unbedeutenden Geste — taugt sie eigentlich als Ansto‎ß für einen Film? Diese Geste hat mich ganz schön beeindruckt, sie beschäftigte mich ständig und meine Filme gehen in der Regel von solchen Augenblicken aus, die mich nicht mehr loslassen. Ich habe also nicht gro‎ß nachgedacht, ob es ein Risiko ist oder nicht, davon auszugehen. Man sagt im Filmgeschäft ‚Kill your darlings!‘ — verzichte auf die Elemente, die dir in einer Geschichte am wichtigsten erscheinen. Das funktioniert zumeist, aber bei »Mariţa« habe ich diese Regel ignoriert“, erzählt Cristi Iftime.




    Er versuchte, so viel wie möglich in den Film zu packen, dass der Film dabei aber nicht zu dicht wird. Wichtig war für Iftime, dass die Zuschauer die Figur von Sandu verstehen. Er ist der Besitzer von Mariţa, Vater von drei Söhnen, Briefmarkensammler, selbst erklärter Bonvivant und immer bereit, aus seinem Erfahrungsschatz zu berichten. Doch die Zuschauer sollten mit ihm nicht zu hart ins Gericht gehen. Das tun ja zur Genüge seine Söhne, allen voran Costi, der den Vater beim Weihnachtsessen nicht leicht davonkommen lässt:



    Mich hat vor allem die Entfremdung interessiert — die Menschen treffen sich, aber sie sind in Wirklichkeit nicht zusammen. Sie treffen sich, und für einige Stunden haben wir eine freundliche, angenehme Atmosphäre. Doch die Verbindung löst sich dann auf, denn es war nur die Situation selbst, die sie an der Oberfläche als Familie zusammengeführt hat.“




    Der Film ist keine reine Story über den Vater. Er ist auch ein Road Movie, der eine Art Übergangsmoment im Leben eines jungen Menschen dokumentiert — die Loslösung vom Vater. Dieses komplexe Zusammenspiel einer äu‎ßeren Stra‎ße und eines inneren Werdegangs hat den Schauspieler Alexandru Potocean überzeugt, einer der besten der neuen Generation. Über 30 Rollen spielte er in Produktionen von Radu Muntean, Cristian Mungiu, Cristi Puiu oder Constantin Popescu. Dieses ganze Gefüge von Beziehungen um den Vater war mir plötzlich sehr wichtig und erschien mir auch seltsam vertraut. Und so habe ich die Vaterfigur von Sandu verstanden und auch die Art und Weise, in der Costi mit seinem Vater umgeht. Bei den Proben ging es mir anfangs, Sandu ständig zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Aber darum geht es im Endeffekt nicht. Es passiert zwar auch, aber es geht vordergründig nicht darum, über Sandu zu urteilen. Es geht darum, ihn zu verstehen und zu begreifen, wie er die Welt sieht. Auch wenn uns das nicht immer passt“, meint Potocean.




    Adrian Titieni, der gerade für eine andere Rolle beim Festival von Chicago prämiert wurde, gehört auch zu den am meisten nachgefragten Schauspielern seiner Generation. Allein letztes Jahr spielte er 12 Rollen. Mit Cristi Iftime arbeitete er auch in Kurzfilmen mit. Jetzt wollte er gerne bei Iftimes erstem Spielfilm dabei sein, sagt Titieni: Cristi hat als Regisseur einen sehr interessanten Hintergrund. Er hat nicht nur Film studiert, sondern auch Philosophie und hat deshalb eine andere Perspektive. Er passt sehr stark auf Details auf, hat eine Vision, die mir sehr gut gefällt. Ich mag es, mit Leuten zu arbeiten, die auch jenseits der unmittelbaren Realität sehen. Das ist für mich eine Herausforderung. Ich freue mich riesig, dass er an mich gedacht hat“, sagt Adrian Titieni, der die komplizierte Rolle des Vaters spielt.

    Cristi Iftime, a intrat în cinematografele româneşti la sfârşitul anului
    trecut, după ce a câştigat marele premiu al juriului FEDEORA în secţiunea East
    of West a Festivalului de Film de la Karlovy Vary şi trofeul celei de-a 14-a
    editii a Festivalului International de Film Independent Anonimul. Una dintre
    calităţile care a atras atenţia criticilor europeni a fost simplitatea regiei
    acestei poveşti, concentrată pe viaţa de fiecare zi a unei familii, ai cărei membri, deşi sunt despărţiţi după divorţul părinţilor,
    când se întâlnesc, se bucură în mod spontan de energia pozitivă care îşi face
    loc în viaţa lor. Povestea filmului,
    spune regizorul Cristi Iftime, a pornit de la o întâmplare care l-a urmărit.
    Deşi separaţi de multă vreme, o femeie şi un bărbat se îndreaptă, din
    obişnuinţă, spre maşina care a fost cândva a cuplului, o Dacie botezată Mariţa.
    Una dintre întrebările pe care i le-am pus lui Cristi Iftime a fost legată de
    riscul de a construi cinematografic o poveste
    pornind de la un gest care poate părea insignifiant. Acel
    gest m-a impresionat foarte tare, m-a urmărit, şi de obicei filmele mele se
    nasc din momente care mă urmăresc. Aşa că nu m-am gândit dacă e riscant sau nu
    să pornesc de aici. Este adevărat că celebra regulă kill your darlings -
    renunţarea la elementele care îţi sunt cele mai dragi într-o poveste – de
    obicei funcţionează, dar în Mariţa n-am ţinut cont de ea. La un moment dat mi-a
    fost teamă că fimul nu va ieşi pe măsura aşteptărilor mele, dar, fără falsă
    modestie, se pare că a ieşit. Noi am încercat să condensăm cât mai multe
    lucruri în film, dar într-o formă aerisită şi totodată simplă .



    Una din mizele filmului – spune Cristi Iftime -
    este fost ca spectatorii să înţeleagă personajul Sandu, posesorul Mariţei, tată
    a trei băieţi, împătimit colecţionar de timbre, autodeclarat iubitor al vieţii
    şi doritor să-şi povestească experienţele, fără a-l judeca. Aceeaşi încercare
    la care este supus şi Costi, unul dintre cei trei fii ai lui Sandu, aparent cel
    mai exigent faţă de excesele tatălui său. Aşa se
    întâmplă şi când se reunesc cu toţii în jurul mesei de Crăciun. Cristi Iftime. M-a interesat mai mult alienarea, faptul că
    ei acolo se întâlnesc, deşi în mod real nu mai sunt împreună. Se întâlnesc şi
    se simt bine şi pentru câteva ore este o atmosferă plăcută şi prientenoasă. Dar
    apoi legătura aceasta se destramă, doar situaţia a făcut ca ei să arate, să se
    mai comporte ca o familie. La fel e şi cu gestul de la final, care te poate
    duce la ideea că încă sunt o familie, desi nu mai sunt. Dacă ar fi existat
    tensiuni sau scandaluri între ei, partea aceasta frumoasă a întâlnirii ar fi
    fost ratată, nu şi-ar mai fi avut rostul.



    Mariţa este un road movie care încearcă să
    surprindă un moment de trecere din existenţa unui tânăr – acela al desprinderii
    de tată. Un road movie în spaţiul fizic, dar şi în spaţiul interior al
    personajului, complexitate care l-a cucerit pe actorul Alexandru Potocean, unul
    dintre cei mai buni actori ai noului val, cu peste 30 de roluri în filmografia
    sa – producţii româneşti sau coproducţii internaţionale – şi colaborări cu
    regizori ca Radu Muntean, Cristian Mungiu, Cristi Puiu, Constantin Popescu. La un moment dat, toată ţesătura asta de
    relaţii creată în jurul tatălui din familie a început să mă intereseze foarte
    tare. Adică ceva de acolo îmi era, îmi părea foarte familiar. Aşa am început
    să-l înţeleg pe personajul Sandu, şi am înţeles şi raportarea lui Costi la
    tatăl său. La repetiţii am pornit cu ideea de a-l amenda pe Sandu. De a-l
    amenda mai tot timpul. Numai că în ultimă instanţă nu e vorba doar despre asta.
    Se întâmplă şi asta, dar ideea nu e de a-l judeca pe Sandu. Este mai degrabă o
    încercare de a-l înţelege şi de a-i înţelege raportarea la viaţă. Chiar dacă nu
    ne place sau nu ne convine.



    Adrian Titieni, premiat la Festivalul
    de Film de la Chicago, cu Silver Hugo pentru rolul principal din
    lungmetrajul Bacalaureat de Cristian Mungiu, câştigător a cinci trofee
    Gopo, 3 pentru pentru cel mai bun actor într-un rol
    principal şi
    două pentru cel mai bun actor într-un rol secundar, este considerat cel mai
    prolific actor al momentului. Numai în 2017, a interpretat 12 roluri în filme de scurt şi lungmetraj iar cu Cristi Iftime nu este la
    prima colaborare, Adrian Titieni jucând şi în 15 iulie, un scurtmetraj
    selectat în competiţia de gen a Festivalului de Film de la Berlin. Adrian Titieni Cristi este un regizor cu un background
    foarte interesant. În afară de Film, a absolvit şi Facultatea de Filozofie, şi
    de aceea vine cu o perpectivă diferită asupra regiei. Are o atenţie
    extraordinară pentru detalii şi amănunt. Are o viziune şi un mod de a gândi
    care-mi plac foarte mult. Iar mie îmi face plăcere să lucrez cu oameni care văd
    dincolo de realitatea imediată, Or, modalitatea aceasta de abordare este
    provocatoare pentru mine. Eu mă bucur că s-a gândit să mă distribuie, rolul
    este ultraprovocator şi dificil în acelaşi timp. Şi, cu riscul de a mă repeta,
    nu ştiu cât de mult m-am ridicat la înălţimea aşteptărilor.



    Scenariul filmului a fost scris de Anca Buja şi
    Cristi Iftime, imaginea este semnată de Luchian Ciobanu, montajul a fost
    realizat de Dragoş Apetri. Alexandra
    Alma Ungureanu este designer de costume, scenografia îi aparţine Mălinei
    Ionescu iar sunetul a fost semnat de Dan-Ştefan Rucăreanu, Alexandru Dumitru şi
    Florin Tăbăcaru. În afară de Alexandru Potocean şi Adrian Titieni, din
    distribuţia filmului fac parte Lucian Iftime, Victoria Cociaş, Andrei Huţuleac,
    Bogdan Dumitrache, Ana Ciontea. Producători sunt Ada Solomon şi Radu Stancu.

    „Marița” se lansează de Ziua Națională în 19 orașe din țară

    Marița, debutul în
    lungmetraj al lui Cristi Iftime, cu Adrian Titieni și Alexandru Potocean în
    rolurile principale, va rula în 19 orașe din țară, începând de vineri, 1
    decembrie.




    Filmul va rula în București (Cinema City AFI Cotroceni, Grand
    Cinema and More Băneasa, Hollywood Multiplex, Movieplex, Happy Cinema, Cinema
    Elvira Popescu, Cinema Muzeul Țăranului, Cinemateca Union, Cinemateca Eforie, Cinema
    Europa), Bârlad (Cityplex Victoria),

    Potocean va fi prezent la proiecția de la Teatrul Gong din Sibiu, duminică, 3
    decembrie, începând cu ora 19.00.




    Filmul îl are în centru
    pe Costi, care alege să îl viziteze, în ajunul Sărbătorilor, pe tatăl lui,
    Sandu. Împreună, cei doi ajung să se întâlnească cu restul familiei şi, după un
    drum lung, petrec o seară în care deapănă amintiri.




    Marița a câștigat, la
    Festivalul Internaţional de Film de la Karlovy Vary 2017, Premiul Juriului
    FEDEORA pentru cel mai bun lungmetraj din competiţia East of the West. Filmul a primit și Trofeul Anonimul, la
    ediția de anul acesta a festivalului de la Sfântu Gheorghe.




    Producția va fi
    distribuită în cinematografele din toată țara de microFILM.

    WEATHER In the following hours Romania will have weather, which is normal for this time of the year with highs ranging from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius. The sky will become temporarily overcast in the south, east and central Romania, regions which can also see downpours and thunderstorms. In the past days Romania was affected by extremely hot weather with the discomfort index going well above 80. In the country’s western and southwestern regions the hot weather was replaced by heavy downpours, thunder and hailstorms on isolated areas.



    FILM Marita, a feature film directed by Cristi Iftime has reaped the ANONIMUL award this year. Saturday night saw the award ceremony that closed the 14th edition of the ANONIMUL International Independent Film Festival hosted for a week by Sfantu Gheorghe, a town in the Danube Delta. The prize for the best foreign short reel went to STATE OF EMERGENCY MOTHERFUCKER, a film by Belgian director Sebastien Petretti. The best Romanian short reel was declared Written/Unwritten, directed by Adrian Silisteanu. Mexican director Michel Franco, the festival’s special invitee, was also awarded a prize for his contribution to the world cinematography.



    RADIO Until August 16th, the seaside resort of Mamaia, on the Romanian Black Sea coast will be seeing the 100th edition of the Gaudeamus Book Fair, an event staged by Radio Romania, which this summer also celebrates 50 years from the first Radio Holidays broadcasts. From its early days, Radio Holidays aired programmes in English, German, French and Russian, programmes made by the RRI editors. The double anniversary in 2017 is marked through a series of free open-air concerts given by Radio Romania’s orchestras. Hundreds of Romanian and foreign tourists on Saturday attended the opening ceremony of the Gaudeamus Book Fair, which includes scores of editorial and on-line events as well as numerous contests.



    NAVY DAY Until August 15th, Romania will be seeing over 200 religious, cultural and military ceremonies devoted to Navy Day, celebrated on the same day with the Dormition of the Mother of God, protector of the sailors. The most anticipated event is the Romanian Navy drill in Constanta, Romania’s largest port at the Black Sea. The events on Tuesday in front of the Navy Command in Constanta will also be attended by Romanian president Klaus Iohannis. Over 200 thousand tourists are spending this mini-holiday on the Romanian Black Sea coast. The first three resorts most popular with the Romanian tourists are Mamaia, Vama Veche and Eforie. The Romanian authorities have taken a series of measures for this mini-holiday by deploying 24 thousand police and gendarme troops to ensure the public order and the safety of road traffic on motorways to the seaside and mountain resorts.



    BOAT A ship under Turkish flag with 69 clandestine migrants of Iraqi nationality on board was intercepted by a coast-guard boat in Romania’s territorial waters of the Black Sea on Saturday. According to a spokesperson for the Coast Guard, investigations have revealed that the vessel was carrying 69 people, including 29 minors as well as a Cypriot and Bulgarian citizen involved in the migrants-trafficking business. The Coast Guard boat has escorted the ship to a port facility in Mangalia. Police investigations in this case are to continue.

    HEAT Southeastern Romania and capital Bucharest are in for more hot days with a discomfort index going above 80. Temperatures will go down a bit all over the country but in the western regions the weather will become cooler with heavy rainfalls and hail on isolated areas. Maximum temperatures will be ranging between 20 and 36 degrees Celsius.



    RePatriot The measures that people from Oradea and Bihor, western Romania, who live abroad see as necessary to return home will be debated today during an event called RePatriot, staged on the Diaspora Day. According to the organizers, the Romanians in the Diaspora are welcome home and there are programmes aimed at helping them reintegrate. The programme is aimed at the repatriation of the Romanians through entrepreneurship programmes. High on the project’s agenda are issues related to business opportunities, programmes of funding and business development in Romania. The Romanians in the Diaspora are invited to fill in an on-line form in which they can express their opinions and suggestions on the measures the local authorities can implement in order to create a better social and economic environment.
