    Oktoberfest, à Brasov

    Notre voyage d’aujourd’hui
    porte nos pas vers le centre géographique de la Roumanie, dans une ville bien
    connue pour son architecture médiévale, particulièrement bien préservée. Il
    s’agit bien de la ville de Brasov, cité reconnue pour ses offres culturelles,
    pour la pratique des sports d’été ou d’hiver, tout comme pour ses festivals. La
    cité médiévale, toujours habitée, de la ville de Brasov, est l’une des mieux
    conservées d’Europe. Erigée entre le 14e et le 17e
    siècle, elle a été l’une des cités fortifiées les plus importantes de la
    Transylvanie médiévale, son excellent état de conservation faisant d’elle un
    haut lieu du tourisme actuel.








    Au
    mois de septembre, la ville de Brasov accueille le déjà célèbre festival Oktoberfest.
    Cristian Macedonschi, l’un des organisateurs du festival, détaille : « L’Oktoberfest
    ramène des touristes de tous les points du globe, depuis l’Australie jusqu’aux
    Amériques, en passant bien évidemment par l’Europe, dont les ressortissants
    sont présents en nombre. Il y a deux ans, avant la pandémie, nous avons compté
    près de 11.000 touristes étrangers, venus tout au long des 11 jours du festival.
    Cette édition 2019 du festival en a été la 10e et elle a bénéficié
    de la présence de près de 400.000 participants au total, des Roumains pour la
    plupart, car Oktoberfest est devenu un véritable événement national. Notre festival essaie de marier les
    traditions musicales et culinaires locales avec les traditions allemandes,
    bavaroises en particulier, car vous n’êtes pas sans savoir qu’à l’origine, la
    ville de Brasov doit beaucoup aux Saxons. Cette année, nous avons développé un
    partenariat avec la Chambre de commerce suisse de Roumanie, en sus de notre
    partenariat traditionnel, avec les Chambres de commerce d’Allemagne et
    d’Autriche. Notre festival se veut une vitrine de la ville de Brasov et un
    tremplin en matière d’opportunités touristiques, mais aussi en matière
    d’investissements. »






    Et
    Cristian Macedonschi, un des organisateurs du festival, poursuit : « L’édition
    de cette année débutera, comme à l’accoutumée, un jeudi, soit le 2 septembre, et s’étendra jusqu’au 12 septembre. À vrai
    dire, la décision d’organiser cette édition a été prise à la dernière minute,
    il y a tout juste deux semaines, parce que la situation sanitaire est toujours
    compliquée, et qu’il nous est difficile de nous projeter sur le long terme.
    Mais avec nos partenaires, – brasseurs, musiciens, autres organisateurs,- nous
    avons finalement décidé de nous lancer à l’eau. Parce que les gens ont besoin
    de décompresser, de faire la fête, de sortir de l’angoisse omniprésente générée
    par cette longue période pandémique, il faut que l’on puisse reprendre espoir
    et concevoir l’avenir d’une manière optimiste. Aux événements qui se
    dérouleront en plein air, l’accès est gratuit. Par contre, il faudra réserver les
    places bien à l’avant pour les événements déroulés sous le chapiteau, car le
    nombre de ces derniers est assez limité. Pour prendre part à ces événements, il
    faudrait néanmoins montrer patte blanche, et présenter le pass sanitaire. Mais
    nous allons faciliter la tâche du public, en organisant des points de test à
    des endroits précis. »








    Une fois à Brașov, il ne
    faudrait surtout pas rater de faire un détour par Biserica Neagră, l’Église
    Noire, le principal monument de style gothique du pays, ainsi qu’un lieu de
    culte luthérien parmi les plus importants de la région. A l’origine, l’église
    était un édifice catholique, connu sous le nom d’Église Sainte-Marie. La
    construction gothique commença à la fin du XIVe siècle, et le culte catholique
    fut remplacé par le culte luthérien au moment de la Réforme protestante. Strada
    Sforii, ou la rue de la Ficelle, est une autre attraction inédite de la ville
    de Brasov. Voie piétonne sur toute sa longueur, sa largeur varie entre 1,11 m et
    1,35 m, étant, selon les sources, la voie publique la plus étroite d’Europe de
    l’Est. Tracée au 15e siècle, elle constituait à l’époque la voie

    În călătoria noastră de azi, ne îndreptăm spre centrul României, într-un oraș renumit pentru arhitectura medievală. O săptămâna petrecută în Brașov poate satisface gusturile oricărui turist, indiferent cât de pretențios ar fi acesta. Aici putem face turism cultural, shopping, putem avea o vacanță activă practicând sporturile montane, indiferent de anotimp sau, pur și simplu, ne putem bucura de evenimentele culturale care au început iar să se organizeze. Cetatea medievală locuită a Brașovului, care este una dintre puținele cetăți medievale de acest gen din Europa a fost edificată între secolele al XIV-lea și al XVII-lea. Este considerată una din cele mai puternice din Transilvania și păstrează numeroase vestigii care au devenit obiective turistice de mare atracție.



    Dacă, însă, vă propuneți să vizitați Brașovul în septembrie, veți putea participa la unul dintre cele mai mari evenimente organizate aici: Oktoberfest. Cristian Macedonschi, unul dintre organizatorii festivalului. Am avut turiști de pe tot globul: din Australia, din America, dar cei mai mulți, desigur, au fost din Europa. Au fost peste 11.000 de turiști veniți în cele 11 zile la Brașov. Oktoberfest e un eveniment național, iar acum doi ani, am sărbători 10 ani de existență. În 2019, la ultima organizare, am avut peste 400.000 de vizitatori. Este un eveniment important atât pentru Brașov cât și pentru dezvoltarea turistică. Încercăm să îmbinăm tradițiile locale, atât muzicale cât și culinare, cu cele germane, bavareze, dar nu numai. Anul acesta avem parteneriat și cu Camera de Comerț Română-Elvețiană, rămâne parteneriatul tradițional cu Camera de Comerț Română-Germană și cu camera de comerț austriacă de la noi. E un eveniment care îmbină business-ul cu voia bună și dezvoltă orașul și zona noastră ca atracție turistică și de investiții.



    Aflăm de la Cristian Macedonschi, unul dintre organizatorii Oktoberfest Brașov,când va debuta evenimentul. Va începe ca întotdeauna, joia, în data de 2 septembrie și va dura până weekendul următor, în data de 12 septembrie. Ca organizatori, ne-am hotărât foarte din scurt, acum două săptămâni, fiindcă nu știam care va fi situația generată de pandemie, împreună cu partenerii noștri istorici, producători de bere, să fim alături și aproape de iubitorii muzicii bune, ai berii brașovene, dar nu numai. În primul rând, ne-am propus să uităm puțin de problemele create de peste un an de această pandemie, să arătăm luminița de la capătul tunelului, să le redăm speranța oamenilor într-o viață normală. Vom avea anul acesta un cort mare. La evenimentul din aer liber, cu carusel și standuri, accesul e liber. În schimb, dacă vreți să aveți un loc în interiorul cortului, în primul rând, rezervările trebuie făcute din timp. Locurile sunt limitate. Accesul în cort se va face pe baza prezentării unei dovezi a unei scheme complete de vaccinare sau a unui test negativ. Vom oferi posibilitatea de a face teste și la fața locului.”



    Când ajungeți în Brașov, nu ratați o vizită la Biserica Neagră. Este cel mai mare edificiu de cult în stil gotic din sud-estul Europei. Este celebră nu doar prin dimensiunile sale, este cunoscută și pentru marea sa orgă, cea mai mare din sud-estul Europei, având peste 400 de tuburi. Un alt punct de originalitate și unicitate în oferta turistică este reprezentat de Strada Sforii. Aceasta este cunoscută ca fiind cea mai îngustă stradă din oraș, având aproximativ 1,3 m lățime. Se spune că ar fi cea mai îngustă din Europa și că a fost creată în secolul al XV-lea ca o cale de acces pentru pompieri.

    CRIMEA On Saturday, the Romanian Foreign Ministry announced it did not recognize the legitimacy of the parliamentary elections held in Crimea for the Russian Federations State Duma. The Romanian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its support for Ukraines independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and recalled that Romania did not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea and of the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation. Parliamentary elections are due in Russia on Sunday, and are to be also held in Crimea, which was annexed in 2014. According to the polls, quoted by the Radio Romania correspondent in Moscow, only 4 of the 14 parties participating in the elections will be able to go over the 5% threshold. The obvious leader, with 41% of the options, is Vladimir Putins United Russia Party. There follow the Liberal Democratic Party, headed by the hard-liner Vladimir Jirinovski, with 12.4%, the communists, with 7.5%, and “A Just Russia” Party with 6.4%.



    CONDOLENCE Romanias President Klaus Iohannis sent a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella, for the death of the former Italian president Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. The Romanian Presidents message reads that president Ciampi was a convinced pro-European, a supporter of the single currency and of the EU enlargement, at a time when Romania was aspiring to become a member. Ciampi died on Friday, aged 95. He had a long political career, during which he was the president of Italy, Prime Minister and Governor of the Central Bank, and played a key role in his countrys accepting the Euro.



    CELEBRATION Romanias capital Bucharest is this weekend playing host to dozens of cultural events, marking 557 years since it was first mentioned in documents. Squares and parks will venue concerts, exhibitions, workshops, fairs, theatre and music shows, parades. Also on Bucharests Days, performing will be bands from Spain, Italy and France. Bucharest was first documented on September 21st, 1459, in a document issued by Vlad the Impaler, who back then was ruler of the medieval principality of Wallachia. He would later become a source of inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula.



    SUMMIT On Friday in Bratislava, EU leaders stated they wanted to turn the Union into a more attractive and safer space for its citizens, after one of its major members, Great Britain, decided to leave. They drew up a set of guidelines for strengthening security and economic development, which should result into a strategy to be adopted at the special summit due in Rome in March. The final declaration in Bratislava highlights immigration control measures, as well as measures aimed at fighting terrorism and radicalisation and at boosting economic growth by means of investment and single market consolidation. At the end of the summit, in which Great Britain did not participate, Romanias president Klaus Iohannis said that, despite the existing crises, the Union was not a chronic patient, but a success. The head of state also said that hed held informal talks with some European leaders also about Romanias joining the Schenghen agreement, and developments in that direction were positive.



    GDP GROWTH The Romanian National Forecast Commission has revised up to 4.8% its estimates regarding economic growth this year. In spring, the Commission had announced a GDP growth of 4.2%. For the next three years, the commission has maintained its forecasts regarding the growth of the GDP at 4.3%, 4.5% and 4.7% respectively. The GDP per capita is to grow constantly in the coming years, from 8,581 Euro in 2016 to 10,587 Euro in 2019.



    TIMISOARA The Romanian Foreign Ministry has hailed the designation of Timisoara, in western Romania, as the European Capital of Culture in 2021 and has stated that promoting the city will be one of its priorities. Thus, Romanian diplomatic missions, consular offices and cultural institutes abroad will help prepare and promote the prestigious status acquired by Timisoara, which is a model of multi-culturalism, diversity, contemporary creativity, innovation and European spirit. Timisoara ran for European Capital of Culture alongside other three cities in Romania: the capital Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Baia Mare in the north-west. Timisoara will share the title with one city in Greece and one in Montenegro. In 2007, another Romanian city, Sibiu, was European Capital of Culture, together with Luxembourg.



    CORRUPTION The former head of the Romanian Lottery, Gheorghe Benea, will be investigated for bribe taking and office peddling, with aggravated consequences. He was previously detained by anti-corruption prosecutors, who had called for his temporary arrest, but he will be prosecuted without being detained, and subject to legal restrictions, pending trial. The case is about a fake tender for the renewal of the Lotterys car fleet. The damage estimated by investigators stands at more than 500,000 Euro.



    OKTOBERFEST The German police tightened security measures before Oktoberfest, the biggest beer festival in the world, which started in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, on Saturday. In early summer, the Germans were terrified by a string of violent attacks perpetrated in Bavaria, of which two committed by asylum seekers inspired by the Islamic State terrorist organization. The festival organizers have stated they have no information that Oktoberfest might become a target for terrorist attacks, but have nonetheless enhanced security by up-sizing security forces and by installing surveillance cameras. For the first time, the area hosting the festival will be fully surrounded by security fences.
