    Turism de aventură în România

    Fie vară, fie iarnă, aventura
    continuă. Indiferent de anotimp, turismul de aventură e alegerea perfectă a
    celor care caută adrenalină și activități de echipă. Putem combina speologia și
    via ferrata într-o singură aventură în Peștera Valea Cetății de lângă Râșnov. O
    altă variantă ar fi să explorăm trasee aparent inabordabile, dar pitorești, în
    zona Brașovului. Putem încerca, de ce nu, și zborul la manșa dublă a unui avion
    ultraușor.


    Dan Panțuru se declară un iubitor al
    naturii și, de peste zece ani, ca administrator al unei firme românești de
    turism de aventură și de team building, atrage turiștii către cele mai diverse
    zone ale României. România este cea mai interesantă destinație pentru
    turismul de aventură din punctul nostru de vedere, discutând chiar la nivel
    european. Are toate ingredientele necesare dezvoltării acestui turism de
    aventură. În România, avem munte, avem mare, avem Deltă. Ce poate să fie mai
    frumos decât atât? Nu există locație mai interesantă pentru așa ceva. De la an
    la an, se observă o creștere a numărului de turiști care vin să viziteze
    punctual anumite locații din România. Cel mai important lucru este că învățăm
    și noi, românii, să studiem și să ne documentăm înainte, după care să dorim să
    vedem cu ochii noștri lucrurile despre care am citit. Este un lucru foarte
    frumos și așa trebuie făcut: o planificare înainte, un studiu, o documentație,
    după care venim să vizităm și să vedem cu ochii noștri acele destinații.


    Unul dintre pachetele de succes este
    cel de rafting pe râul Buzău, la doar 150 km de București, însoțiți de ghizi
    acreditați internațional. Coborârea pe râul Buzău se face în bărci de maximum
    zece persoane. Raftingul se poate face și cu familii cu copii, în condiții de
    siguranță, copiii beneficiind de o reducere de preț, dacă au maxim 14 ani. În
    plus, zâmbetele, dar și strigătele de bucurie, vor fi înregistrate de pe bărci
    cu camere de ultimă generație. Prețul pornește de la aproximativ 50 de euro de
    persoană.


    Un alt pachet interesant se
    adresează celor care doresc să facă fotografii spectaculoase deasupra
    Carpaților dintr-un avion pe care îl pot chiar pilota. Sunt puse la dispoziția
    turiștilor avioane cu două sau cu patru locuri, la un preț de aproximativ 210
    euro de persoană. Dan Panțuru, administratorul firmei de turism de aventură,
    care organizează aceste zboruri, spune că, indiferent dacă-și descoperă pasiuni
    noi sau doar își înving temeri mai vechi, turiștii trebuie să încerce măcar o
    dată-n viață această experiență.

    Încercăm să combinăm puncte
    de interes spectaculoase din punct de vedere natural cu cultura și obiceiurile
    locului. Avionul poate să fie o opțiune. Zborurile cu avioane ultraușoare
    deasupra munților din zone ca Brașov pot să fie niște experiențe incredibil de
    interesante. Oferim avioane cu manșă dublă și putem să lăsăm și clientul să
    conducă pentru câteva momente avionul, să simtă că ar fi pilot pentru un
    interval scurt de timp. Avem sporturi de apă, aer și terestre. Toate sunt niște
    opțiuni incredibil de interesante pe tot teritoriul României.


    Bineînțeles, toate aceste pachete de
    turism de aventură se pot combina și cu alte forme de turism. Turism rural sau
    cultural, spune Dan Panțuru. Mi-aș permite să vă spun exact
    unde sunt în acest moment. Sunt cu un grup de turiști, români de data aceasta,
    care și-au dorit un tur cultural. Suntem în acest moment în Țara Luanei, în
    zona din Munții Buzăului, și staționez chiar acest în acest moment la Muzeul
    Chihlimarului de la Colți. Urmează să vizităm bisericuța de la Aluniș, cu
    vestigiile rupestre din zona bisericuței, după care mergem mai departe și
    vizităm vestigiile rupestre de la Nucu, urmând să finalizăm ziua cu vizitarea
    trovanților de la Bozioru. În funcție de categoria de sporturi pe care am
    menționat-o, sportul de apă, aer sau terestre, diversitatea activităților în
    domeniul turism de aventură este foarte, foarte largă. România oferă opțiunea
    tuturor activităților de acest gen pe tot teritoriul ei.



    L-am întrebat pe Dan Panțuru,
    administratorul firmei de turism de aventură, cum putem accesa toate aceste
    programe de turism de aventură. Dacă clientul dorește o
    anumită activitate specifică, rafting, de exemplu, atunci, el va afla
    informații de pe site-ul nostru unde poate fi practicat acest tip de activitate
    în România. Echipamentul este specific tipului de sport pe care îl alege
    clientul și este pus la dispoziție de către firma organizatoare. De exemplu,
    dacă discutăm de rafting, echipamentul pus la dispoziție este costum de
    neopren, papuci din neopren, vestă, cască, padelă și barca de rafting aferentă.
    Deci, clientul nu are grija echipamentului, el trebuie să vină doar pregătit
    psihologic să trăiască o anumită experiență.



    Așadar, turistul nu trebuie decât
    să-și dorească o aventură de neuitat. Iar România are avantajul de a oferi
    opțiuni de turism de aventură pe tot parcursul anului, bineînțeles, în funcție
    de sezonul respectiv. Deși din primăvară până în toamnă diversitatea
    activităților de outdoor este mai mare, nu înseamnă că în extrasezoane sau în
    perioada de iarnă acestea sunt inexistente în România. Dimpotrivă. În plus,
    datorită prețurilor atractive și a diversității programelor România a atras și
    mulți turiști străini. Ei vin din toate colțurile lumii, organizații singuri,
    dar și prin agenții de turism specializate din țările lor, spune Dan Panțuru,
    administratorul firmei de turism de aventură.

    În majoritatea
    cazurilor vin din Germania foarte mulți turiști, din Israel, italieni, spanioli.
    Diversitatea este foarte mare și ne-am bucurat. Sunt fascinați de România. Spun
    că realitatea este mai impresionantă decât documentația pe care au citit-o
    înainte. Ce-i fascinează cel mai mult și ce cred că ei nu au în țările lor este
    sălbăticia pe care o întâlnești în România, zonele foarte largi în care
    întâlnești doar natură sălbatică. Asta cred că îi fascinează cel mai mult și
    este un atu cu care România ar trebui să marșeze cât mai mult posibil. Noi le
    sugerăm turiștilor străini, dar și românilor să vină și să vadă cu ochii lor
    frumusețile acestei țări care sunt spectaculoase. Este una dintre țările care
    oferă o diversitate mare de activități outdoor. Nu cred că există activitate
    care să nu poată să fie acoperită aici, în România. Întâlnești sălbăticia
    naturii care se combină foarte frumos cu cultura românilor și tradițiile lor.

    The Village Museum Days

    The week of May 10, a sanctuary of quiet, nature, tradition and culture, the “Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in Bucharest, hosted events, exhibitions and fairs to mark the Village Museum Days, 85 years since the institution was established.



    The museum was opened on 10 May 1936, in the presence of King Carol II, and since then it has been one of the citys major tourist attractions. The motivation for setting up an outdoor museum was the importance of the village, of rural traditions and craftsmanship in Romanian culture.



    On the banks of Herăstrău lake in Bucharest, many genuine households and installations, the oldest one built in the 17th century, have been reassembled here, after having been brought to the city by train, cart or boat—an extraordinary effort that gave birth to the museum. We talked to the museum manager Paulina Popoiu, Ph.D., about the anniversary:



    Paulina Popoiu: “We organised these “museum days activities, and devoted about one week in May to the Village Museum, precisely in order to mark this anniversary and to celebrate its founders. Obviously, because of the pandemic the celebration is a little smaller in scale than the events we organised on the 80th anniversary, but this is natural given the circumstances. Even so, I should say there was plenty to see and do, and there were a lot of surprises. For the first time, we introduced the official title of “honorary ambassador of the Village Museum, to reward those who, one way or another, have contributed either to the development of the museum, or to promoting it in the country or abroad. I hope we will continue to give this title until the museums 100th anniversary.



    Mrs. Paulina Popoiu gave us a few details about the beginnings of the museum and about the exhibitions focusing on that period:



    Paulina Popoiu: “Perhaps what I should begin with is that all these events were held under the motto “The Museum and the Royal House. Why? Because the founding and existence of the Village Museum is closely connected to the Royal House, which at the time of the establishment of the museum provided both financial and moral support to the research conducted by Dimitrie Gusti and the Bucharest sociology school in the over 600 villages of Romania, and the “Prince Carol Foundations contributed significantly to the birth of the museum. So we think of the museum as a royal establishment, and it was only natural to remind the people that we also celebrate 100 years since the birth of King Michael, who was a great friend of the museum in his later years and whom we would meet in the morning on the alleys here. There was an exhibition opened on 10 of May, a symbolic day because it is the day of the Romanian Royal House and because it follows the celebration of Romanias independence and Europe Day on 9 May. This series of events are beautifully connected, and the Village Museum is an important character in this story. This exhibition called “The Museum and the Royal House presents the life of King Michael and the life of the museum. We worked with the National Archives and the Royal House and we included archive photos and several items that belonged to King Michael. To recreate the atmosphere of 1936, we brought here vintage cars, really outstanding and well worth seeing cars. Also, for 7 days we had ladies and gentlemen wearing period costumes borrowed from the National Theatre in Bucharest, in an attempt to recreate the urban atmosphere in which the Village Museum was set up. I think it is very interesting that this museum of the village and of traditional civilisation is located at the heart of the capital city, Bucharest. In a way, the Village Museum is the beating heart of this great city, because it showcases identity values, the values created over the centuries by Romanian peasants, and the houses here are a present for us from generations and generations of peasants.



    At the end of our dialogue, the manager of the “Dimitrie Gusti Village Museum, Paulina Popoiu, was proud to tell us about the interest shown by tourists for this special place in Bucharest:



    Paulina Popoiu: “It is worth noting that before the pandemic the museum had 910,000 visitors a year, many of them foreigners. There even was a year when we had more than half a million of foreign tourists coming here. So I would call the Village Museum the ambassador of Romania worldwide, and I hope after this difficult period is over we will pick up where we left off. (tr. A.M. Popescu)

    EU COUNCIL Romania takes over on January 1st, for the first time since its accession in 2007, the rotating presidency of the EU Council. The priorities of the Romanian presidency fall into 4 categories: Europe of convergence, a safer Europe, Europe – a stronger global actor and Europe of common values. During its term, Romania will have to manage several complex issues like Brexit, the 2021-2027 budget, a coherent strategy on migration and increasing the Unions global role. The official web page of the Romanian presidency of the EU Council has been launched. The page, available at romania2019.eu, in Romanian, English and French, provides useful information for journalists, the general public and European affairs experts.




    NEW YEARS MESSAGE The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, Monday released a New Years address, in which he urges Romanians to capitalise on the presidency of the EU Council in order to prove that “Romania is fully committed to consolidating the European project. PM Viorica Dancila also said today in her New Years address that Romania is prepared for the presidency of the EU Council, which it takes over on January 1. She emphasised that this is a national project that must bring together public institutions, political actors and civil society. Viorica Dancila also said that in 2019 her Cabinet will continue to take “the right decisions for Romania, and added that the Government has a “clear role: sustainable economic growth and major investments able to ensure better living standards for as many citizens as possible.




    POLICE In Romania, over 25,000 Interior Ministry personnel are on duty during the New Years holiday. Special attention will be paid to the protection of the participants in the 125 large-scale public events expected to bring together a total of 300,000 people. Emergency intervention and prevention missions will be conducted these days by over 4,900 fire-fighters. On New Years night, fire-fighting and paramedic teams are deployed in the areas where public events are held. Around 300 emergency medical units are on standby. The largest shows will be organised in Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu and Cluj Napoca. In Bucharest, the City Hall organises an over 6-hour long outdoor party that also celebrates the 100 years since the Romanian nation state was formed. Romanian artists will be joined by the international DJ Andre Tanneberger, known under the stage name ATB, who will mix live. Impressive fireworks shows are scheduled for midnight.




    RUSSIA The Romanian Foreign Ministry requested the Russian Embassy in Bucharest to update the historical information it uses, and stressed that past bilateral relations must not allow for speculations and unfounded opinions. The message follows a Russian Embassy Facebook post deploring the fact that Romanian and western media regularly publish articles that slander the Red Army troops who freed Central and Eastern Europe from fascism. “Anti-Soviet and anti-Russian critics insist on telling people that the Red Army was a gang of ruthless thieves and rapists, says the Embassy in the post that, the Romanian Foreign Ministry argues, lacks the accuracy required for an academic debate. Bucharest also mentions that a commission of Romanian-Russian historians has been set up, and is best suited to analyse the history of bilateral relations. The Soviet troops that marched into Romania at the end of World War 2 only left this country in 1958, and the communist dictatorship they ushered in lasted until 1989.




    JOURNALISTS The number of journalists and mass media workers killed on the job this year went up to 94, as compared to 82 in 2017, the International Federation of Journalists announced. The victims include 84 journalists, cameramen and technicians, as well as 10 media staff such as drivers and protection officers. They died in targeted killings, bomb attacks and cross fire incidents. The most dangerous place for journalists this year was Afghanistan.




    UKRAINE The presidential election campaign in Ukraine started on Monday and will last until March 31st. candidates have until February 3rd to enrol and until February 8th to register their candidacy with the Central Electoral Commission. According to the latest polls, the former Ukrainian PM Yulia Tymoshenko, is the frontrunner 16-18% of the vote intentions. The incumbent president, Petro Poroşenko, is gaining ground and ranks second in current polls with 14%, followed by the actor and comedian Vladimir Zelenskiy, with 8-12%.
