    כוכב ללא שם”, תערוכה דוקומנטרית

    ספריית מחוז Panait Istrati מהעיר בראילה שבמזרח רומניה, ארגנה בין התאריכים 18-24 באוקטובר את התערוכה הדוקומנטרית בשם כוכב ללא שם. התערוכה ציינה את יום הולדותו ה-115 של הסופר מיהאיל סבסטיאן שנולד בבראילה ב18 באוקטובר, 1907. התערוכה כללה הן את יצירותיו של הסופר והן מסמכים המעידים על ערכם הספרותי הבלתי מעורער של עבודותיו.



    יוסף מ הכטר (שמו האמיתי של הסופר) למד בבית ספר יסודי ובתיכון בעיר בראילה, עיר הולדתו. בשנת 1926, הוא הגן על תואר הבגרות שלו, כשהתזה שלו זכתה להערכה מיוחדת מצד נשיא הוועדה. הוא סיים, בשנת 1929, את לימודיו בפקולטה למשפטים של אוניברסיטת בוקרשט. בשנים 1930 — 1931 הוא הכין את הדוקטורט שלו בפריז. הוא הופיע לראשונה עם שירים, בשנת 1926, בכתב העת “LUMEA” מיאסי, תחת השם הבדוי Eraclie Pralea. את ההופעת הבכורה שלו בעיתונאות, החל בשיתוף פעולה שנמשך זמן רב, בעיתון Cuvântul, שם הפך לעורך העיתון (1927-1934).



    הרומן DE DOUA MII DE ANI יצא לאור בשנת 1934. הספר עורר התקפות זועמות מצד התקשורת הימנית והשמאלנית, עליהן הגיב המחבר ברומן “איך הפכתי לחוליגן שפורסם ב1935. התקפות השפיעו עליו קשות אך המשיך לעבוד, והוא הצליח התגבר על מצבי הדיכאון שלו. הוא התבסס בחיי הספרות כמחזאי מוכשר עם ההצגות: Jocul de a vacanța, שהועלתה בתיאטרון הקומדיה ב-1938, כוכב ללא שם, שיצא לאור בשם הבדוי ויקטור מינקו והוצג על בימת תיאטרון אלהמברה, במרץ 1944, Ultima ora , שהבכורה התקיימה ב-25 בינואר 1946, בתיאטרון הלאומי בבוקרשט) והאי מ1947, כשהוא סיים רק שתי מערכות בלבד. את המערכה השלישית השלים השחקן Mircea Şeptilici.



    במהלך המלחמה לא נחסכו ממנו הסבל וההשפלות של היותו יהודי. ב-7 בספטמבר 1940 נאסר עליו לעסוק כעיתונאי ורישיונו כעורך דין נשלל. בזמן המלחמה לא הייתה לו זכות חתימה. מעמדו השתנה באופן קיצוני לאחר אוגוסט 1944. הוא מונה, בשנת 1945, ליועץ העיתונות הראשי במשרד התעמולה הלאומית, הוא הופקד על קורס באוניברסיטה הדמוקרטית החופשית, הוא התבקש לעתים קרובות להופיע כעורך דין. מחזותיו החלו לעלות על בימות בתי תיאטרון, לא רק ברומניה, אלא גם מחוץ לה. במלוא כוחו היצירתי מאבד הסופר הצעיר את חייו, כשהוא נהרג על ידי מסאית ברחוב.



    החל משנת 2013, בברילה, ביוזמת הנשיא לשעבר של הפדרציה של הקהילות היהודיות ברומניה, ד”ר אורל ויינר, נערך הפסטיבל הבינלאומי מיהאיל סבסטיאן, אשר ריכז במשך השנים שמות תרבותיים גדולים. משנת 2017, קיבל האירוע אופי בינלאומי, עם משתתפים מישראל, מרפובליקה של מולדובה, מגרמניה, מקנדה, מצרפת, מארגנטינה ומפורטוגל.

    VISIT Romania’s Prime Minister Ludovic
    Orban on Wednesday met in Ramallah Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammer
    Shtayyeh. According to the Romanian official the visit marks a major stage in
    the development of the bilateral relations and can be an opportunity for
    strengthening cooperation between Romania and Palestine in fields such as
    education, domestic affairs and agriculture. During the talks, the Romanian
    official underlined the importance of the Romanian community in the Middle East
    and thanked his counterpart for the support offered by the Palestinian
    authorities. The two officials also tackled the future of the Middle East peace
    process. In this context, Orban said that Romania offers its support for any
    action, which might lead to a sustainable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian
    conflict. Also on Wednesday, the Romanian Prime Minister met Palestinian
    president Mahmoud Abbas. Earlier the Romanian official met Benjamin Gantz, Alternate Prime Minister and Defense
    Minister of the State of Israel and on Tuesday he held talks with high Israeli
    officials. Orban and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu reconfirmed the
    privileged relations between the two states and hailed the recent launch of the
    Romania-Israel working group in the economic field.








    COVID-19 On Wednesday, Romania reported a new all-time
    high in terms of Covid-19 infections, 8,651. Since the onset of the pandemic
    267 thousand people have been infected in Romania and authorities have
    announced 146 new fatalities. 1001 patients are being treated in IC units, the
    highest number so far. Romania has a death toll of 7419 and authorities are
    permanently assessing the measures aimed at containing the Covid pandemic.
    According to the country’s president, Klaus Iohannis, the first batch of
    vaccine could arrive in Romania in the first quarter of the next year and the first
    to benefit from it are the employees of Romania’s medical system and those in
    the high risk categories. The Romanian president says that there is no need to
    impose the state of emergency in Romania, but restrictions are still needed to
    contain the pandemic.




    MOURNING The
    Austrian government has declared three days of national mourning for the
    victims of Monday’s terrorist attack in Vienna, which left four dead and 22
    wounded. The country’s Foreign Minister Karl Nehammer admitted during a news
    conference on Wednesday, that the Austrian Department for Combating Terrorism
    (BVT) was briefed by the Slovak police on the assailant, an Austrian of
    north-Macedonian extraction who was trying to buy ammunition in Slovakia. Authorities
    are continuing the investigation. 14 arrests were made after searches of 18
    homes. Authorities believe he was a lone attacker, who ran the streets and
    opened fire on passers-by and customers in bars and restaurants, just before
    the national quarantine came into force. Chancellor has Sebastian Kurz sent a
    message of unity to the people, promising that Austria will defend its
    democracy, fundamental rights and its liberal lifestyle.








    FOOTBALL Romania’s football champions CFR Cluj will
    be up against Italian side AS Rome in their third game in Europa League group
    A. CFR tops the group after a 2-0 win against CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria and a
    one-all draw at home against Swiss side Young Boys Bern. Eliminated from the
    preliminaries of the Champions League, CFR is Romania’s only representative in
    this year’s edition of the European football cups.

    הפסטיבל הבינלאומי מיחיל סבסטיאן, מהדורה 7

    הפסטיבל הבינלאומי “מיחיל סבסטיאן”, המהדורה השביעית, יתקיים בבראילה שבמזרח רומניה, מה 31 באוקטובר ועד 2 בנובמבר. בתוכנית: מופע מוזיקה היהודית «שלום», עם המקהלות «חזמיר» ו- «מכבי», מופע הריקודים יהודים וישראלים «בנות טבי», הלהקה «חברים», בדומה למחזמר «הכנר על הגג», הביצוע של מוזיקה מסורתית שירים יהודים, בביצוע השחקנית מיה מורגנשטרן ולהקת כליזמר מבוקרשט.



    כמו כן יתקיימו השקות ספרים, דיונים על הסופר היהודי הרומני הגדול מיחאיל סבסטיאן ועל עבודתו, רסיטל שירה וגאז שנתמך על ידי השחקנית הרומנית-קנדית CLAUDIA MOTEA, ורסיטל מוזיקלי עם שירים של משוררים יהודים רומנים וזרים מוכרים בביצוע ALEXANDRINA CHELU וFLORIAN CHELU MADEVA


    חלק חשוב מהפסטיבל מוקדש לתיאטרון: בחלק זה, תיאטרון קרוב מתל אביב, מציג את “השעה האחרונה” בעיבודו של ניקו ניתאי. במופע משחקים שחקנים מתיאטרון קרוב ומתיאטרון היהודית הלאומי בבוקרשט.



    התיאטרון “מיחאי אמינסקו”, מבוטוסאני (צפון רומניה), מציג את “אלוהי השחיטה”, מאת יסמינה רזה, בבימויו של ארווין שימסנזון , והתיאטרון העירוני “גורג בקוביה”, מבכאו, מזרח רומניה, מציג את “הכוכב ללא שם”, מאת MIHAIL Sebastian

    ספרים מאת הסופר הרומני MIHAIL SEBASTIAN, שתורגמו לשוודית ואנגלית

    אירועים לציון התרגום לשוודית ולאנגלית של שני ספרים מאת ההסופר הנודע הרומני ממוצא יהודי, MIHAIL SEBASTIAN, התקיימו בשטוקהולם ובלונדון.



    הספר ” JURNALUL”, “היומן” שפורסם בשנת 2019 בהוצאת הספרים h: strom בשבדיה, הושק ע”י הפדרציה הקהילתית היהודית בשטוקהולם. המתרגם Inger Johansson שוחח עם המשתתפים על החווית תרגום הכרך של הסופר הרומני ועל חשיבות הצגת “היומן” לציבור השבדי בהקשר ההיסטורי הנוכחי. יצירת מופת של ספרות תיעוד בין-מלחמתית ואחת הסקירות המטרידות ביותר של החיים הפוליטיים והאמנותיים ברומניה במחצית הראשונה של המאה העשרים, “היומן” של מיכאיל סבסטיאן – שחיכה 50 שנה לרגע הופעתו הציבורית הראשונה – הפך לאחד מהספרים המוערכים ביותר בספרות הרומנית.



    את הערב פתח נציג הפדרציה של הקהילה היהודית בשטוקהולם, John Gradowski. הקטעים שקראה השחקנית אדריאנה סאבין ליוו בקטעים מוזיקליים מריקודי הרומנים של המלחין בלה ברטוק ויצירות אחרות שהסופר אהב.



    במקביל, במטה המכון התרבותי הרומני בלונדון הייתה השקת הספרOraşul cu salcâmi, העיר עם עצי השיטה, שנכתב גם ע”י מיכאיל סבסטיאן, הספר תורגם לאנגלית על ידי גבי ריי. לאחר ההשקה התקיים דיון על ספריו של סבסטיאן, בו השתתפו פרופסור אלכס בואיקן, מאוניברסיטת קולג בלונדון והמתורגמן גבי ריי.



    ספריו של מיחאי סבסטיאן תורגמו, ע”י מרכז הספרים של מכון התרבות הרומני לספרדית, צרפתית, הולנדית, בולגרית, אמהרית, קרואטית.

    פסטיבל “Mihail Sebastian 2019”

    הפסטיבל הבינלאומי “מיחיל סבסטיאן” מברילה, המתוכנן בין 2 לבין 5 בנובמבר 2019, מגיע השנה למהדורה החמישית. מאורגן על ידי התאחדות הקהילות היהודיות ברומניה, ביוזמתו של ד”ר אורל וויינר, נשיא ההתחדות, האירוע מייצג יותר ממחווה למחזאי היהודי החשוב ביותר בארצנו. זה אירוע מיוחד שנערך בחסות משרד התרבות.


    הקהל ישתתף בקונצרטים, הצגות ומחזות אחרים, השקות ספרים, דיונים ועוד. על הבמה ובחדרי הישיבות יופיעו אמנים וקוראים מרומניה, ישראל, צרפת, גרמניה, קנדה, רפובליקת מולדובה וארגנטינה. שמות גדולים מתיאטרון רומני ובינלאומי, מבקרי ספרות וסופרים, היסטוריונים ומדענים, מבקרי אומנות, להקות יידיש ומוזיקה יהודית, כמו גם בלוז, נענו להזמנה להשתתף.


    השותפים כוללים: תיאטרון “מריה פילוטי” בריילה, מוזיאון בראילה “קרול אני”, קרן CARITATEA והקהילה היהודית בריילה.

    Political parties prepare for European Parliament election

    Ranking third in
    line to win the European Parliament ballot of May 26th, after the
    Social-Democratic Party and the National Liberal Party, and commonly perceived
    as a pro-European alternative to the aforementioned parties, the 2020 Alliance
    was very close to being left out of the election race after the Central
    Election Office rejected the underlying protocol of the alliance signed by its
    two parties, the Save Romania Union and PLUS, for technical reasons.








    On Friday,
    however, the High Court of Cassation and Justice in Bucharest decided the 2020
    Alliance can submit its candidates in the May 26th election. The
    Central Election Office also rejected the claim of another alliance to enroll
    in the ballot, this time made up of the Great Romania Party and the United
    Romania Party.










    The reason is
    that the late Corneliu Vadim Tudor still appears as president of the Great
    Romania Party in the Party Register. Since his death in 2015, the party didn’t
    change the party leader’s name in the register. The United Romania Party will
    submit its separate candidates, the most spectacular of whom is by far the
    former MP Sebastian Ghita, who sought refuge in neighboring Serbia fleeing
    prosecution in Romania.








    The party
    describes Ghita as the Romanian who dealt a heavy blow to the new Securitate
    police, who exposed the system and the ‘elite’ Anticorruption Directorate, a
    man who militated for a country of the people and who became a target,
    harangued for having the courage to tell the truth.










    We recall Ghita
    voiced strong criticism against Laura Codruta Kovesi and the National
    Anticorruption Directorate, which he accused of allegedly abusing her office
    when investigating politicians for acts of corruption. Ghita’s election
    campaign is based on a nationalist anti-migration and Christian discourse, very
    similar to that of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. I don’t want to see
    Romania become the duchy of the Luxembourgish running Brussels! So I shout with
    all my might: Long live Great, United and Sovereign Romania!, Sebastian
    Ghita’s message to the Romanians reads.








    His campaign
    will most likely be marked by nationalist and xenophobic rhetoric. In turn,
    Social-Democratic leader Liviu Dragnea this weekend declared himself a
    pro-European, underlining however that Romania wanted to join the EU for a
    better life, not to return to a life in fear and terror. We wanted to join
    the European Union for access to development. We demand the same respect we’re
    offering. I can’t accept the fact that everything we say, everything we do
    should be criticized, attacked and blocked, while other people’s lies should be
    taken at face value, without proper verification, Dragnea said.








    This is a clear
    hint at the constant criticism voiced by Romania’s European partners regarding
    the repeated legislative modifications the ruling coalition in Romania has made
    in the field of the judiciary. On the other hand, the leader of the Democratic
    Union of Ethnic Hungarians in Romania, Kelemen Hunor, says the European Union
    is Europe’s the only viable solution to measure up to global powers and only
    political alternative for Romanians and Hungarians in Romania.
