    Covid-19 The Romanian Government decided to extend the state of alert by another 30 days, against the background of the Covid-19 pandemic. The measure came into force on Wednesday, though several restrictions have also been lifted. Among other things, fitness centres, betting and gambling centres and the shops inside malls have been reopened. Also, religious services are allowed inside churches. According to the authorities, although the trend has been downward, the number of cases of infection with the new coronavirus might grow anytime. Lately, new cases have been reported, raising the total to 22,760 infections. The death toll now stands at 1,451. Of those who tested positive, more than 16,100 recovered. In related news, 85 Romanian nationals working on a farm in Bavaria tested positive for the novel coronavirus. All are asymptomatic and quarantined.



    PENSIONS The Chamber of Deputies Wednesday endorsed a bill regulating the taxation of the so-called “special pensions, a controversial topic in Romanian society. With 307 votes in favour and just 1 against, the bill, endorsed by the Senate in 2019 as well, was backed by all parliamentary parties. According to Radio Romania News and Current affairs, the Deputies decided to introduce a tax on the balance between regular pensions, based on contributions to social security funds, and special pensions. Incomes from special pensions in excess of 7,000 lei (little under 1,500 euros) will thus be subject to an 85% tax. Unless it is challenged at the Constitutional Court, the bill will be forwarded to the President for promulgation. The Chamber of Deputies also passed a bill that provides that criminals convicted for manslaughter, rape, aggravated robbery, sexual abuse against children and exploitation of begging can no longer benefit from conditional release.



    FLIGHTS The Bucharest Airports National Company organized on Wednesday an event titled ‘Everything will be fine!’, which marks the resumption of flights after the break imposed by the global coronavirus crisis. Specifically, flights have been resumed to and from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, whereas those to and from the Czech Republic, Greece, Portugal and Scandinavian countries were resumed a while ago. A spokesman for the company said investments were not suspended or delayed in April and May, when the companys revenues fell by nearly 98%. In the northern Romanian town of Botosani, Romania thrashed Spain, 24 to 7. On 50 minutes, the Romanian succeeded a 9-nil lead, thanks to three more points also scored by Florin Vlaicu from a penalty kick. In minute 53 Ionel Melinte succeeded try, and the scoreboard displayed a comfortable 16-nil advantage for the Romanians. Once again, Florin Vlaicu scored points from another penalty kick granted to the Romanians on 76 minutes.     Este sábado en Bucarest, la selección de rugby de Rumanía venció a la selección de España en el segundo compromiso del campeonato europeo, clasificatoria para el Mundial de Japón2019 durante este año y el próximo. “Los robles” se impusieron con dificultad, por 13 a 3, ya que los leones mostraron un quince bastante fuerte.


    La selección rumana ofreció una versión mejorada con respecto al fin de semana pasado, cuando cedió por un ajustado 38-41 frente al combinado de Alemania. Los robles tomaron una cómoda ventaja de 10-3 en el primer periodo gracias al ensayo de Florin Vlaicu que el mismo jugador pasó entre palos, así como un golpe de castigo, mientras Brad Linklater pasó el único golpe de España.


    Tras el descanso, Rumanía con Vlaicu tranformó otro golpe de castigo, mientras que España mejoró en defensa pero no logró ningún ensayo.


    En los otros 2 partidos de la jornada, Rusia derrotó fuera de casa a Bélgica, por 25 a 18, y Georgia superó en cancha propia a Alemania 50 a 6. Cabe recordar que en la primera jornada, Alemania logró la gran sorpresa de la competición al vencer a Rumanía por 41 a 38.




    ´´Es la entrevista más larga de mi vida”, confiesa Mircea Lucescu, de 71 años, tras 50 minutos repasando su carrera con MARCA. Lucescu, toda una vida en los banquillos es el título de esta entrevista maratón que el periódico español dedica al famoso técnico y exjugador rumano.


    Mircea Lucescu, que ha conquistado ocho títulos como jugador y 32 como técnico, destaca otros dos éxitos, además de la victoria sobre la Azzurra:”El triunfo sobre el Madrid de los Galácticos en la Supercopa de Europa y la UEFA que logré en 2009 con el Shakhtar”.



    “Ser futbolista es lo máximo. Luego nada es igual. Ya seas entrenador, presidente… la responsabilidad es distinta”, afirma un Lucescu que le marcó al Madrid en el Bernabéu en la Copa de Europa 1975-76.



    Diferentes épocas y distintos referentes: “Cada generación tiene su jugador. Di Stéfano me marcó en mis inicios por la idea que daba del colectivo. Más tarde, me impresionó Beckenbauer.. Luego vino Cruyff, que era un genio. En Italia me enfrenté a Maradona, que tenía un nivel increíble. Además, he dirigido a Baggio, a Ronaldo, Pirlo, Willian…”. Y a Hagi. En el fútbol lo más fácil es cambiar de entrenador. Lo difícil es permanecer 30 años en el mismo club renovándote constantemente. Un hombre fuerte no es el que cambia 30 veces de mujer, sino el que aguanta con la misma “. Y sobre Mou y Guardiola:”Son dos grandes entrenadores, inteligentes, que han sabido sacar lo mejor del resto y dejar su sello en el fútbol mundial. Ahora bien, a mí me gusta muchísimo Simeone. Le tuve en el Pisa y en el Inter. . Diego era como hoy: un gran profesional con un corazón increíble.

    Así el conjunto del entrenador serbio Darko Zakoc se tomó la revancha tras la derrota sufrida por 1-3 en Sibiu en el partido de ida.

    Le musée de l’aviation roumaine

    C’est au milieu de l’été que les aviateurs roumains célèbrent la fête de l’aviation roumaine, qui coïncide avec celle de leur protecteur, Saint Elie. L’aéronautique est un des domaines à tradition en Roumanie, pays qui a donné plusieurs pionniers de l’aviation mondiale. Les aviateurs roumains sont les auteurs de véritables faits d’héroïsme dans des guerres et dans des missions humanitaires. Ils ont également obtenu des performances notables pour l’aviation utilitaire, sportive et de transport. Par ailleurs, les ingénieurs roumains ont eux aussi contribué à préserver la tradition de la construction aéronautique, malgré de nombreuses difficultés.

    Le 2 mars 1990, le Musée de l’aviation a été fondé pour honorer ce domaine à longue tradition en Roumanie. Carmen Beuscuca, muséographe, responsable de la section d’histoire de l’aéronautique au Musée national de l’aviation, nous aide à parcourir les objets exposés dans les salles de ce musée. « Si on évoque les trois pionniers de l’aviation, Traian Vuia, Aurel Vlaicu et Henri Coanda, sachez que vous pouvez admirer une réplique de l’avion Vuia 1, celui au bord duquel Traian Vuia a réalisé, le 18 mars 1906, le premier vol avec un appareil plus lourd que l’air. Il y a aussi les maquettes des appareils « Vlaicu 2 » et « Vlaicu 3 » de l’ingénieur Aurel Vlaicu, ainsi que la maquette du premier avion à réaction au monde, « Coanda 1910 ». Une autre réplique est celle du fameux chasseur IAR 80, construit en 1939 à IAR Brasov, à bord duquel les pilotes roumains ont obtenu plus de 2 mille victoires aériennes durant la Seconde guerre mondiale. Les collections du musée contiennent toute une série d’avions à réaction, à commencer par le Yak 23 et jusqu’au Mig 29 et bien entendu l’avion IAR 93, de conception et production roumaines. »

    Rappelons-le, ce fut également dans l’espace roumain que les premières pages de l’histoire mondiale du vol humain ont été écrites à l’époque, quand ce domaine était difficile même à imaginer. Entre 1529 et 1555, l’Autrichien Conrad Haas a conçu et testé à Sibiu des fusées à étage. Au début du XXe siècle, Traian Vuia, Aurel Vlaicu et Henri Coanda ont été des représentants de proue pour le début de l’aéronautique mondiale. Des copies des célèbres appareils imaginés par les trois pionniers de l’aviation se retrouvent dans les collections du Musée national de l’Aviation.

    Carmen Beuscuca explique quel fut le sort des appareils d’origine : « L’appareil d’origine de Traian Vuia se trouve actuellement en France, là où il fut construit et où son créateur a activé. L’appareil Vlaicu 2 s’est écrasé en 1913 tuant son pilote, Aurel Vlaicu, qui tentait de de traverser les Carpates. « Coanda 1910 », également construit en France, s’est écrasé en décembre 1910 juste après son décollage. Il était manié par son inventeur Henri Coanda qui en fait n’était pas pilote. Une autre réplique que nous possédons est celle de l’avion de chasse de la deuxième guerre mondiale IAR 80. Aucun appareil de ce type n’a survécu puisqu’après la Seconde Guerre Mondiale ils ont tous été envoyés à la casse. »

    Hormis les objets exposés, le Musée national de l’aviation possède aussi des archives et plusieurs objets ayant appartenu à des personnalités roumaines. Carmen Bescuca :« Nous avons la montre de poche de l’ingénieur Aurel Vlaicu, un objet qui l’a accompagné dans tous ses vols. N’oublions pas non plus les archives de la première parachutiste roumaine, Smaranda Braescu, celle qui en 1931 établissait le record du monde au saut en parachute depuis une altitude de 6 mille mètres. En 1932 elle a battu le record absolu du monde avec un saut depuis une altitude de 7233 mètres. Nous exposons aussi toute une série de carnets de vol, de brevets de pilote, de journaux de bord ayant appartenu aux pilotes de la Seconde guerre mondiale et de l’après-guerre. A cela s’ajoutent les documents ayant appartenu aux pilotes des avions à réaction des forces aériennes roumaines ».

    Une visite du Musée national de l’aviation signifie aussi la découverte d’un patrimoine impressionnant. De petits détails, tels des objets ayant appartenu aux aviateurs militaires et civils, des dessins et des moulages suscitent l’intérêt des visiteurs. Mais ce qui impressionne le plus les visiteurs de ce musée, ce sont les avions, les hélicoptères, les missiles, les centres de commande et contrôle, les équipements de communication et les radars, ainsi que les moteurs, un siège d’éjection et d’autres composantes. L’aviation roumaine dispose donc d’un musée où les passionnés de l’aviation peuvent vraiment savourer leur hobby et pourquoi pas, leur futur métier. (trad. Alex Diaconescu
