    Noutăți din transportul feroviar

    Operatorul naţional de stat CFR Călători emite, de la 1 ianuarie 2024, abonamentele săptămânale şi lunare exclusiv în format digital, tip ‘Card de Transport’ sau sub formă de cod QR dinamic. Abonamentele în format digital se pot cumpăra de la casele de bilete şi de la automatele de bilete ale CFR Călători – pe cardul de transport sau prin aplicaţia descărcabilă – sub formă de cod QR dinamic asociat unui telefon mobil. Ulterior, abonamentele pe card de transport vor putea fi încărcate şi online, nemaifiind necesară prezenţa pasagerilor la casele de bilete sau automate. Abonamentele cumpărate prin aplicaţia ‘CFR Călători bilete online’ sub formă de cod QR dinamic pot fi utilizate doar pe ruta şi la tipul de tren pentru care au fost emise. Pentru acest tip de abonament este posibilă rezervarea locului de la personalul de tren, în măsura în care există locuri libere.

    Transportul pe calea ferată între Cluj-Napoca şi Oradea este înlocuit cu transportul cu autocare sau autobuze, de la 8 ianuarie 2024 până pe 8 ianuarie 2026. Programele de transport ale autocarelor, respectiv autobuzelor de înlocuire a trenului ale operatorilor privaţi de transport feroviar Interregional Călători şi Transferoviar Călători pot fi găsite pe site-ul Autorităţii pentru Reformă Feroviară. Operatorul feroviar de călători cu capital de stat CFR Călători va lansa serviciile de înlocuire tren în termenul cel mai scurt, după finalizarea procedurilor de achiziţie publică a acestor servicii.

    Autobuzele sau autocarele de înlocuire vor avea număr de identificare identic cu numărul de tren, în cazul în care se asigură continuitatea serviciului de transport. Aceste autobuze şi autocare vor circula la ore şi cu opriri similare celor din mersul trenurilor 2022/2023. La bordul lor sunt valabile biletele de tren. Biletele pot fi cumpărate şi prin canalele de vânzări ale operatorilor de transport feroviar, inclusiv din zonele fără trafic pe perioada lucrărilor. Programul de circulaţie al autobuzelor/autocarelor de înlocuire a trenurilor de călători va fi publicat şi pe site-ul CFR S.A., la secţiunea Info Călători_Mersul trenurilor CFR.CFR S.A. implementează un amplu proiect de reconstrucţie şi electrificare a liniei de cale ferată Cluj Napoca – Oradea – Episcopia Bihor care presupune închideri totale de trafic, pe anumite tronsoane, şi reducerea capacităţii de transport pe altele.

    Obiectivul general al proiectului este electrificarea şi reabilitarea liniei de cale ferată pe întregul traseu. De asemenea, se au în vedere creşterea vitezei de circulaţie la 120-160 km/h pe întregul tronson, modernizarea staţiilor, modernizarea clădirilor staţiilor de călători, ridicarea nivelului peroanelor, în conformitate cu standardele europene, facilităţi pentru persoanele cu dizabilităţi, montarea de panouri fonoabsorbante şi/sau soluţii alternative de reducere a nivelului de zgomot

    The Romanian womens basketball side Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe on Wednesday got their second and most clear win in the Euroleague. The Romanian champions secured an 88-58 home win against Polish side Lublin, in the competitions Group A. US player Morgan Green was the best player of the Romanian side with 19 points, 5 recoveries and 9 decisive contributions. The win has pushed Sepsi to the seventh position in the groups ranking. Before the game, Sepsi was at the bottom of group A.


    The Romanians will next take on Valencia Basket Club on their own ground on January 10th.


    In the mens group B of the Eurocup competition, Romanias side U-BT Cluj-Napoca lost to French side Bourg-en-Bresse, 98-89. With eight wins, U-BT ranks third in the 10-side group after Dreamland Gran Canaria and Bourg-en Bresse, each with 10 victories. U-BT will be taking on Buducnost Podgorica in an away game on December 27th.


    Hungarian capital, Budapest, is hosting an international water polo tournament. Romanias male side lost to Spain 15-7. This has been their third failure in a row after those against Serbia, 5-15 and 8-15 to Hungary.


    Romanias football Superleague has this week seen the matches of its 21st leg, the last this year. On Tuesday in Craiova, southern Romania, local side, FC U 1948, secured a 2-0 victory against Petrolul Ploiesti, while in Iaşi, north-eastern Romania, FCSB clinched a 3-1 win against local side Poli. Two matches ended in a draw on Wednesday, UTA Arad versus Universitatea Craiova 2 all and Farul Constanţa versus Rapid Bucharest, 0 all. Hermannstadt plays Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe on Thursday and CFR Cluj takes on Universitatea Cluj. The legs last two matches will be on Friday, when Oţelul Galaţi plays FC Botoşani and Dinamo Bucharest takes on FC Voluntari. FCSB ranks first in the standings with 44 points followed by Universitatea Craiova with 34. The Superleagues championship is to resume on January 19th.

    Ştiri despre traficul aerian

    Aeroportul Internaţional ‘Avram Iancu’ din Cluj-Napoca, al doilea ca mărime după traficul aerian din ţară, are o nouă pistă
    de rulare. Au fost finalizate lucrările la noua cale de rulare paralelă cu
    pista, care va asigura infrastructura necesară operării unui număr mai mare de
    avioane, în condiţii de siguranţă şi securitate sporite. Noua cale de
    rulare permite operarea aeronavelor de categoria C şi cod superior acesteia,
    cum sunt Airbus A 320 şi Boeing 737. Proiectul a fost cofinanţat din fonduri
    europene şi s-a realizat în două etape.


    Pe de altă parte, David Ciceo, directorul general al Aeroportului
    Internaţional «Avram Iancu» din Cluj a participat la Conferinţa anuală a
    Asociaţiei Internaţionale a Directorilor de Aeroporturi, unde prezentat câteva
    aspecte regionale privind aeroporturile, în actualul context european. În 2022,
    pe Aeroportul Internaţional Cluj au fost înregistraţi peste 2,6 milioane de
    pasageri, iar pentru 2023 se estimează că se va ajunge la circa 3,1 milioane de
    pasageri. În ceea ce priveşte transportul aerian din România, datele arată că traficul
    de pasageri va reveni la valorile înregistrate înainte de pandemie până la finalul
    lui 2023; companiile low cost operează aproximativ 70% din traficul aerian din
    România; în topul destinaţiilor de pe aeroporturile din România se află Londra,
    Milano şi Bucureşti.


    Compania aeriană low-cost Ryanair a anunţat pentru sezonul de iarnă 2023 două
    noi destinaţii cu plecare de la Bucureşti, spre Paris Beauvais şi Tirana
    (Albania). Astfel, Ryanair va opera zboruri din Bucureşti spre 27 de
    destinaţii. Operatorul va creşte frecvenţa zborurilor spre cele mai populare 6
    destinaţii, inclusiv Bristol, Catania, Madrid şi Malta. În iarna lui 2023,
    Ryanair va opera 280 de zboruri pe săptămână spre şi dinspre Bucureşti, cu 16%
    mai multe decât în sezonul trecut.


    În altă ordine de idei, compania aeriană low-cost HiSky ajunge la 10 destinaţii
    operate regulat de pe Aeroportul Internaţional «Henri Coandă» Otopeni de lângă
    Bucureşti, după ce o nouă rută, Bucureşti – Frankfurt, va fi disponibilă din data
    de 17 decembrie. Cursa va fi operată cu 3 frecvenţe pe săptămână, în zilele de
    luni, miercuri şi sâmbătă. Odată cu lansarea noii rute, Germania devine a
    7-a ţară în care pasagerii pot ajunge din Bucureşti cu un zbor HiSky. Aeroportul
    Internaţional Otopeni a devenit principala bază operaţională HiSky. Conform clasamentului după numărul de
    pasageri transportaţi, compania aeriană ocupă locul 4 între operatorii de pe
    acest aeroport. În România, compania mai operează curse regulate şi de pe
    aeroporturile din Iaşi (nord-est), Baia Mare (nord), Cluj-Napoca (nord-vest) şi
    Timişoara (vest), dar şi zboruri charter.

    Poliţişti ai
    Inspectoratului General pentru Imigrări, împreună cu reprezentanţi ai
    Inspectoratelor teritoriale de muncă, desfăşoară, în perioada 16 – 20
    octombrie, o campanie de informare a străinilor aflaţi la studii pe teritoriul
    României cu privire la condiţiile în care pot fi prestate activităţile
    lucrative, precum şi în ceea ce priveşte drepturile şi obligaţiile ce le revin
    în calitate de angajaţi.     Campania, care are loc la nivelul întregii ţări, se
    desfăşoară în cadrul universităţilor şi are ca scop creşterea gradului de
    informare cu privire la oportunităţile oferite pe acest segment, dar şi
    conştientizarea riscurilor la care se expun în cazul nerespectării prevederilor
    legale. În prezent, conform Inspectoratului General pentru Imigrări, pe
    teritoriul României se află 17.615 studenţi cetăţeni străini, cei mai mulţi din
    Republica Moldova, Maroc şi Israel. Majoritatea au optat să urmeze studiile în
    centrele universitare din Bucureşti, Iaşi, Cluj şi Timiş.




    România are cea
    mai ridicată rată a angajărilor din Uniunea Europeană în agricultură,
    silvicultură şi pescuit, reiese din datele publicate de Oficiul European pentru
    Statistică – Eurostat.     Regiunile României dominante la acest capitol sunt
    Vaslui, cu un procent de 61,7%, şi Neamţ, cu 51,4 procente, ambele aflate în
    nord-estul ţării. În cifre absolute, 8 din principelele 10 regiuni europene cu
    cea mai ridicată rată a angajării în agricultură, silvicultură şi pescuit se
    află în România. Regiunea Iaşi, de asemenea în nord-estul României, avea în
    2020 cel mai mare număr de angajaţi 146.200 şi era urmată de alte patru regiuni
    din România, cu peste 100.000 de angajaţi fiecare. Pe lângă regiunile din
    România, doar două ale zone europene erau în top 10 al celei mai ridicate rate a
    angajărilor în agricultură, silvicultură şi pescuit. Este vorba despre
    Sandomiersko-jędrzejowski din Polonia şi Almería în Spania.






    În Europa există
    o criză acută de forţă de muncă, iar soluţia este creşterea competenţei
    tinerilor, a declarat directorul executiv al Autorităţii Europene a Muncii,
    Cosmin Boiangiu la Forumul de Afaceri Europene, desfăşurat la Timişoara în
    vestul României.     Boiangiu a subliniat că sunt dezechilibre între ţări în ceea
    ce priveşte ocuparea forţei de muncă, iar pentru a compensa lipsa de lucrători
    se aduc muncitori din state terţe. Este cerere mare pentru domenii precum
    îngrijire, sănătate, IT, construcţii şi transporturi.

    E nevoie foarte mare de
    forţă de muncă şi din ce în ce mai mult acest lucru îl vedem şi în România,
    lucrători din state terţe din afara Uniunii Europene sunt aduşi pentru a
    compensa aceste deficite, a spus şeful ELA. El a precizat că autorităţile
    europene sunt preocupate să aplice o serie de strategii privind mobilitatea şi
    flexibilitatea forţei de muncă, iar una dintre soluţii este angajarea pe baza
    competenţelor, nu a experienţei sau a studiilor pe care le au candidaţii.




    Numărul
    muncitorilor străini din judeţul Cluj a crescut cu peste 3.000 în primele 9
    luni ale acestui an, a anunţat Inspectoratul General pentru Imigrări.
    Instituţia arată că, în perioada 1 ianuarie – 30 septembrie, poliţiştii de
    imigrări din Cluj au emis peste 3.400 de permise de şedere, dintre care 640
    pentru străinii din Sri Lanka, 544 pentru cei din Nepal, 363 pentru cetăţeni
    din India, 242 pentru cei din Bangladesh, iar diferenţa pentru străinii din
    alte ţări. Totodată, au fost eliberate 806 certificate de înregistrare şi 96
    cărţi de rezidenţă permanentă pentru cetăţenii ai Uniunii Europene.

    În perioada
    menţionată, au fost emise 2.851 de documente pentru lucrătorii permanenţi şi
    detaşaţi din cele 3.234 de cereri depuse. De asemenea, din 48 de cereri privind
    reîntregirea familiei cu cetăţeni din state terţe, 40 au fost soluţionate
    pozitiv şi 8 respinse. În ceea ce priveşte şederea ilegală, în perioada
    analizată, au fost efectuate 541 de verificări în teren, în urma cărora au fost
    depistaţi în situaţii ilegale 44 de străini. Dintre aceştia, cei mai mulţi, 20,
    provin din Bangladesh, şi 7 din Sri Lanka. Pentru 122 de străini s-a luat
    decizia de returnare în ţara de provenienţă, iar în cazul a 29 dintre aceştia a
    fost instituită măsura nepermiterii intrării pe teritoriul Românie pentru o
    perioadă de 6 luni.

    Le Festival UNTOLD 2023

    La ville de Cluj-Napoca (nord-ouest) accueille à partir
    d’aujourd’hui et jusqu’au 6 août le
    festival de musique le plus important et le plus attendu de Roumanie. Il s’agit
    aussi de l’un des festivals du monde les plus populaires, si l’on prend en
    considération le nombre d’étrangers à la hausse qui se rendent en Roumanie
    spécialement pour l’occasion. Plus de 400 000 spectateurs sont attendus sur
    place, pour participer à la 8e édition d’UNTOLD.


    « Ce sera l’édition la plus électrisante, avec le
    plus grand nombre de participants jamais enregistré. On attend plus de 100 000
    spectateurs par jour. » a déclaré mardi, lors d’une conférence de presse,
    le directeur de communication, Edy Chereji.


    Les organisateurs promettent des expériences uniques pour
    tous les âges et tous les goûts. Pour la première fois, les enfants bénéficieront
    d’un espace spécialement créé pour eux, où les parents peuvent les laisser en
    toute sécurité pour bien profiter du festival.


    Un festival de street food, le plus grand de Roumanie,
    sera également mis en place. Le public friand du shopping, aura également
    l’occasion de choisir parmi les articles vestimentaires les plus intéressants
    mis en vente dans des endroits spécialement ouverts.


    Parlons aussi musique ! Plus de 250 artistes nationaux
    et internationaux des plus appréciés sont à l’affiche. La formation « Imagine Dragons », qui
    viendra pour la première fois en Roumanie, a promis un show exceptionnel. David
    Guetta et Armin Van Buuren reviendront à Cluj-Napoca. Ce dernier a déjà précisé
    à plusieurs reprises, que ce festival est son préféré et que du coup, il a
    préparé un moment spécial pour cette occasion.


    Toujours à l’affiche d’UNTOLD, on retrouve des artistes
    comme Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki ou Salvatore Ganacci.


    Précisons aussi que le festival se déroule sur une
    superficie totale de 235 000 mètres carré. La scène principale, de plus de 500 tonnes,
    est dotée d’un écran LED de plus de 900 mètres carré, de 32 mètres de haut, 110
    mètre de large et 30 mètres de profondeur. Le toit a une ouverture de 24
    mètres.


    Le Festival UNTOLD est placé cette année sous le symbole
    de la Lumière de Phénix, Phoenix Lights, en anglais, qui figure sur les
    décorations de la scène principale (mainstage) et du stade Arena Cluj, éclairé
    par 1250 jeux de lumière. Des personnages magiques, des animateurs et des danseurs :
    voilà d’autres ingrédients du festival.


    Les organisateurs et les autorités locales collaborent
    pour le bon déroulement d’UNTOLD et pour la sécurité des spectateurs. Des
    milliers d’employés de la Gendarmerie, de la Police, de l’Inspection pour les
    Situations d’Urgence, de l’Agence Nationale Antidrogue et de la Bridage de lutte
    contre la criminalité organisée sont mobilisés durant les quatre jours du
    festival. 800 agents de sécurité privée épaulés par des équipages canins seront
    également déployés dans le périmètre de l’événement. En même temps, deux
    hôpitaux mobiles et trois centres de premiers soins fonctionnent sur place.


    On souhaite, alors, à tous les participants, de passer de
    super moments au festival de Cluj !

    Plusieurs
    aéroports de Roumanie ont annoncé de nouvelles courses aériennes pour cet été.
    C’est le cas de l’aéroport international Mihail Kogalniceanu, de Constanta, desservi
    par la compagnie aérienne roumaine, AirConnect. Les vols opérés sont à
    destination de Timisoara, et Cluj et ils seront en place les jeudis et les
    dimanches d’ici au 17 septembre. A partir du 24 juillet, la même compagnie
    déménagera de l’aéroport Bucarest Băneasa – Aurel Vlaicu à celui d’Henri
    Coanda, ce qui permettra aux voyageurs de bénéficier d’un terminal moderne, à
    quelques minutes de la capitale roumaine. AirConnect a sur la carte de ses
    itinéraires des destinations internationales, telles Budapest, mais surtout des
    destinations internes comme par exemples, Baia Mare – nord, Sibiu – centre,
    Suceava – nord, Târgu Mureș – centre).


    A partir du mois
    de septembre, la compagnie low-cost Wizz Air réintroduit deux vols à
    destination d’Antalya depuis les aéroports de Bucarest et de Cluj. Les courses
    au départ de l’aéroport international Henri Coanda, près de la capitale, auront
    lieu chaque lundi et vendredi à partir du 1 septembre et celles au départ de
    Cluj sont prévues deux fois par semaine, jeudi et dimanche, à commencer par le
    3 septembre.


    Parmi les
    aéroports de Roumanie, celui d’Otopeni est le plus fréquenté, avec 72,5% du
    total des voyageurs roumains. Il est suivi par celui de Iasi, plus de 8% et
    Cluj, presque 8%. Il s’agit en fait des trois aéroports internationaux les plus
    importants de Roumanie. La liste se complète par les aéroports de Suceava,
    Craiova, Bacău, Sibiu, Oradea, Baia Mare, Constanţa, Târgu Mureș et Satu Mare,
    beaucoup moins fréquentés que les trois autres. En revanche, la situation peut
    changer, puisque le nombre des Roumains qui optent pour des aéroports de
    petites dimensions est à la hausse. Les principales destinations des voyageurs
    qui préfèrent les aéroports moins fréquentés sont les villes à recenser
    d’importantes communautés de ressortissants roumains, à savoir Londres, Rome,
    Milan, Bruxelles, Paris, Dublin, Venise, Francfort.



    Quant aux prix des billets au départ des aéroports de
    Roumanie, sachez que les tarifs les plus chers sont ceux pratiqués par
    l’aéroport de Cluj. Au pôle opposé, on trouve l’aéroport Henri Coanda
    d’Otopeni. Le fait qu’un aéroport plus petit pratique des tarifs plus élevés
    s’explique par le principe de l’offre et de la demande. Les aéroports moins
    fréquentés n’arrivent pas à générer un trafic suffisamment grand pour remplir
    les avions ou attirer les compagnies low-cost.

    La 22ème édition du Festival du film TIFF

    Coup d’envoie ce vendredi d’une nouvelle édition du
    Festival international du film de Transylvanie, TIFF en abrégé, qui fait de la
    ville de Cluj, la capitale du cinéma mondial. Dix jours durant, le public
    cinéphile se réunira dans cinq endroits de la ville, spécialement adaptés aux projections
    de film pour découvrir des titres primés aux festivals les plus importants du
    monde, tels ceux de Venise, de Berlin, de Cannes ou encore de Saint Sébastian. Des
    grandes stars, telles le cinéaste américain, Oliver Stone, réalisateur du
    long-métrage « Né le 4 juillet » sera présent à Cluj pour cette 22ème
    édition du TIFF qui réunira à son agenda presque 200 films de 45 pays dont 12
    inscrits dans la compétition officielle.


    Les cinéphiles présents sur place auront la chance de
    croiser des acteurs oscarisés, tels Geoffrey Rush. Connu pour ses rôles
    importants dont celui « Des pirates
    des Caraibes », il marquera ses 40 années de carrière sur la scène du TIFF
    où il se verra accorder le trophée pour toute la carrière. Plusieurs acteurs
    ayant joué dans Harry Potter seront eux aussi présents au festival. Inspiré
    d’une série de faits réels passés à Sibiu, « Liberté », le dernier
    film du Roumain, Tudor Giurgiu, sera projeté en première à TIFF.


    Le public cinéphile aura également l’occasion de
    rencontrer le grand comédien roumain, Horaţiu Mălăele, qui se verra décerner le
    prix d’excellence. Notons qu’il s’agit d’un artiste qui s’enorgueillit d’avoir
    dans son palmarès plus de 150 rôles dans des pièces de théâtre télévisées et
    qui, parallèlement à sa carrière de comédien, déroule depuis 1982, une carrière
    de metteur en scène aussi.


    Sur la page du festival, les organisateurs nous annoncent
    la projection les 14 et 16 juin, du film moldave « Carbone » de Ion
    Borş, le long-métrage le plus à succès de la République de Moldova. Il s’agit
    d’une histoire captivante et profonde qui se penche d’une manière subtile sur des
    thèmes tels le conflit humain, la déshumanisation, la propagande au sein de la
    société de cette ex république soviétique. Une fois le festival terminé, ce
    film partira en tournée de promotion en Roumanie et à partir du 7 juillet, il
    sera projeté en salle dans les cinémas roumains.


    Pour sa part, l’Institut français de Roumanie annonce 32
    productions et co-productions françaises à l’agenda du TIFF, tout comme la
    présence de 18 invités de marques francophones, des réalisateurs, des
    producteurs ou encore des journalistes. Fondateur de la Nouvelle Vague, le
    grand cinéaste Jean-Luc Godard, décédé l’année dernière, se verra célébrer la
    mémoire dans le cadre d’une rétrospective comportant huit titres dont :
    « A bout de souffle » « Le Mépris »,
    « Alphaville » ou encore « Pierrot, le fou ». L’institut
    français invite le public à ne pas rater le long-métrage de Jérome Salle,
    « Kompromat », réalisé en 2022 et inspiré des faits réels, tout comme
    « Mon crime », le film le plus récent de François Ozon.



    A la fin, disons aux
    amateurs de musique que le chanteur et compositeur suédo-britannique, Jay-Jay
    Johanson, sera en concert à Cluj, dans le cadre du festival, tout comme le
    groupe allemand Tangerine Dream. Originaire de Berlin, le groupe, considéré
    comme un des pionniers de la musique instrumentale électronique et ayant signé
    la bandes son d’une soixantaine de films, montera sur scène, le 15 juin.

    DAY The Ministry of National Defence is
    today staging a series of military and religious services devoted to the Heroes
    Day celebrated every year on the Ascension Day in Romania. Romanian President
    Klaus Iohannis together with the country’s Minister of Defence, Angel Tîvăr are going to attend a series
    of ceremonies at the Heroes’ Monument near Sibiu, in central Romania, and the
    president of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, is expected to give a
    speech during the ceremony at the Heroes Graveyard in Buzau, southern Romania.
    The Heroes Day will also be celebrated by Romania’s Prime Minister Nicolae
    Ciuca at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in the Carol 1st Park
    in Bucharest. The Heroes Day was first observed on May 4th 1920 and
    was taken over by the Romanian Parliament in 1995. It became a national day of
    the Romanian people in 2003.




    STRIKE Romanian teachers are carrying
    on their all-out strike, after trade unions in education have turned down the
    latest government offer, which they deem as insulting. Several thousand
    teachers are protesting in front of the government building in Bucharest. Representatives
    of the government and trade union leaders last night attended a new round of
    talks which ended in a deadlock. The authorities ruled out any pay rises and bonuses
    claimed by the trade unions. However, teachers were supposed to get 25 hundred
    lei in two installments this year and the non-teaching staffers 1000 lei.
    Marian Neacsu, the government’s Secretary General, explained the money would be
    given on a special card for professional career and gave assurances that the
    field of education would be a top priority in the future process of drafting
    the payment law. Disgruntled with the pay and their working conditions, employees
    of Romania’s education system kicked off an all-out strike on May 22. Trade
    union leaders have announced their intention not to give up the protest unless
    their claims are met.




    EU The European Commission
    Executive Vice-president, Valdis Dombrovskis on Wednesday called on the member
    states to apply more effectively their plans of recovery and resilience, to
    make investment and cut on spending. The European Commission has again drawn
    attention to the economic situation in Romania, the only EU country for which
    the procedure for excessive deficit has been activated. According to Brussels,
    Romania spends more money than it has and must cut its deficit under 3% by the
    next year. According to the government in Bucharest, the budget deficit is
    expected to go down under 4.4% of the GDP this year and 2.9% next year. We have
    more on the issue after the news.




    CUP Sepsi OSK Sfantu Gheorghe won
    Romania’s football cup after a 5-4 win against Universitatea Cluj in the
    shootouts on Wednesday. 120 minutes into the game, the score was nil-all. The
    hero of Sepsi was its goalkeeper, Roland Niczuly, a former player of the
    Universitatea Cluj’s. Niczuly managed to save three shots, after Universitatea had got
    the upper hand but wasted two chances. Sepsi has won the trophy for the second
    time in a row. We recall that this ambitious football side from central Romania,
    lost the finals of the aforementioned competition in 2020. Universitatea has
    lost a Romanian Cup finals for the fifth time.






    VISIT ‘A genuine war is going on in Europe at present’ the
    president of the Federal Republic of Germany, Franz Walter Steinmeier said on
    Thursday during the visit he is paying to Romania. The German official has
    reiterated his appeal to unity in this context. During the second day of his
    state visit jointly with his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis he met
    representatives of the German community in Romania. The two officials are going
    to visit the National College ‘Samuel von Brukenthal’ in Sibiu with tuition in
    German, a school first documented 650 years ago. The two presidents will be
    attending a formal lunch offered by the incumbent mayor of Sibiu, Astrid Fodor.
    The last stage of the German president’s visit in the region is going to be the
    Saxon fortified church in the village of Cristian, a monument dating back to
    the 13th century. Steinmeier will next visit the city of Timisoara,
    in western Romania to lay a wreath of flowers at the monument dedicated to the
    anti-communist revolution of 1989 in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral.

    Muzeul Dansului din Sic

    Ajungem azi în nord-vestul României,
    în Transilvania, și ne oprim în satul Sic. Se află la doar 40 de km de
    municipiul Cluj-Napoca, un centru universitar și economic important, dar și o
    destinație turistică de neratat. Satul Sic este special din punct de vedere
    etnografic, fiind, totodată, și o mărturie a multiculturalității. Michel van
    Langeveld este un olandez pasionat de dansuri populare, care a îndrăgit atât de
    mult zona și tradițiile, încât s-a mutat aici și a înființat unicul muzeu al
    dansului din România.

    A fost și pentru mine o surpriză mare. După
    revoluția împotriva regimului comunist din România, în 1989, am venit în
    România în fiecare an. Maghiarii din Transilvania organizau tabere de dans prin
    intermediul cărora învățai muzica și dansurile maghiare. Am participat la multe
    astfel de tabere, însă am trecut și Carpații. Am cunoscut și dansurile populare
    din Moldova, care sunt foarte frumoase. Așa am văzut locuri atât de frumoase,
    încât mi-am zis că România e un adevărat muzeu în aer liber. Îmi plac mult
    tradițiile, iar, în 2004, am văzut o casă transilvăneană albastră, care mi s-a
    părut foarte romantică și am cumpărat-o în același an. După două zile, am fost
    la notar, care m-a felicitat pentru cumpărarea unei case a dansului.


    Michel povestește
    că nu numai tradițiile, ci și frumusețea satului Sic, peisajul rural autentic
    l-au determinat să se mute definitiv în România. În Sic, 60-70% dintre case au
    o cameră mare, o bucătărie și un dormitor. Iar camera mare e frumos
    decorată cu broderii lucrate de mână, bufet, farfurii tradiționale, tablouri cu
    familia și un pat mare, tradițional, plin de perne. Fiecare casă din Sic e ca
    un muzeu.


    De
    la achiziționarea casei până la transformarea ei în muzeu, n-a durat foarte
    mult. După ce am cumpărat casa, în 2004, și am aflat că era o casă veche a
    dansului, am invitat imediat ansamblurile de dans să danseze la mine. Le-am zis
    că, dacă vin îmbrăcați în haine tradiționale, berea și pălinca vor fi gratuite.
    Am reușit să adun jumătate de sat. Am filmat și am făcut fotografii, iar
    acestea se pot vedea în podul casei mele Muzeu al Dansului.



    În prezent, în
    Muzeul Dansului din Sic este expusă o colecție de 460 de perechi de cizme
    folosite în cadrul dansului tradițional. Însă veți vedea și instrumente
    muzicale, spune Michel van Langeveld, olandezul mutat în România. Am
    o colecție mare de viori, contrabași. Mulți dintre turiști vin datorită
    Biroului de Informare Turistică din Cluj-Napoca. În Sic, avem o deltă numită
    Stufărișul din Sic. Mi s-a părut interesant că vin în vizită mulți japonezi și
    israelieni. În apropiere de Sic, se află orașul Gherla, important pentru
    comunitățile de armeni din toată lumea, însă aici se află și o sinagogă pe care
    israelienii vor s-o vadă. Odată, i-am zis unui ghid care a venit cu turiștii
    israelieni că știu să dansez 200 de dansuri israeliene. Imediat, am început să
    cânt o melodie tradițională din Israel și, în câteva secunde, ghidul și toți
    turiștii au început să danseze. Ghidul, care a continuat să vină cu turiști, le
    spune acum turiștilor că în primele 15 minute dansăm și după aceea vizităm
    muzeul.



    Iată, așadar, o
    destinație în care tradiția, natura, dansul și voia bună vă vor asigura o zi de
    neuitat într-un loc unic în România: Muzeul Dansului din Sic.

    Preparations for the 1st May mini-holiday


    The Romanians are ready to make the most of the May 1st mini-holiday and event organizers arent going to let them down this time with over 400 festivals, concerts, fairs and sporting events being prepared as we speak. Most of them on the Black Sea coast where over 70 thousand tourists are expected to arrive this weekend.



    According to the latest meteorological reports, the weather on the seaside is going to be pretty fair with sunny days, a little bit of wind and highs ranging between 15 and 18 degrees centigrade. But the weather isnt going to be an impediment for the tens of thousands of young people who will be attending the festivals staged in several seaside resorts, such as Costineşti, Mamaia and Constanţa.



    According to employers organizations, 50 thousand tickets have been purchased for the “Beach, Please” festival in the resort of Costinesti, which involves the participation of 100 artists. Over 10 thousand tourists, including citizens from Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the USA are expected to the electronic music festival “Sunwaves Mamaia”, while in Constanţa tourists are welcomed at “Grill Fest” – the latest barbeque-music experience in Romania, which brings together the best-known chefs, the most relevant brands in Romanias meat industry as well as some of the most important artists in the Romanian showbiz.



    The police have cautioned that the festivals and many other events announced in clubs and various restaurants on the seaside will also be good opportunities for drug dealers and users. The police are ready for these events but have made an appeal to young people and their parents explaining that drug dealers have already formed groups on social platforms, which have brought together thousand of members.



    According to sources with the Interior Ministry, 24 thousand policemen, gendarmes and firefighters are ready to intervene for the good functioning of the numerous events scheduled to take place during this mini-holiday.


    Furthermore, anti-drug police units are going to kick off an information campaign aimed at keeping people abreast of drug abuse consequences and ways of preventing human trafficking.



    On the other hand, the inhabitants of Bucharest will these days be able to walk through the city center undisturbed by the road traffic as part of a project entitled Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade.



    Until October 8th, streets in downtown Bucharest will become exclusively pedestrian areas hosting numerous events jointly with theatres, cultural institutions and artists. The city of Cluj, in western Romania, is these days seeing a series of events including an exhibition of astrophotography, a book fair as well as events for the little ones. Barbeque parties, however, remain one of the most common ways of celebrating May 1st in Romania.

    Protests — On Friday, the Romanian farmers are organizing protests in several counties and in Bucharest, dissatisfied with the solution found by the European Commission to the problems and serious imbalances facing the Romanian agri-food sector, against the background of market distortions caused by the armed conflict in Ukraine. According to the farmers, the total elimination, since the middle of last year, of customs duties on all goods from Ukraine has exported the effects of the war, commercially speaking, to the neighboring countries, creating an involuntary dumping effect, as it has stimulated Ukrainian farmers to sell cheaper. The representatives of the Romanian farmers point out that this measure has not helped and will not help the Ukrainians to resume their production cycle. Instead, it has strongly disrupted the market in Romania.



    Beijing – The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the French President Emmanuel Macron are discussing today, in Beijing, with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, especially about Chinas role in finding a peace solution in Ukraine. The two are trying to convince the Chinese leader to exert his influence on Russia to end the war. Shortly after arriving in Beijing, Emmanuel Macron expressed concern about growing tensions between China and the West, and Ursula von der Leyen adopted a tougher stance, warning that the future relations between China and the EU will be influenced by how Beijing will approach the war in Ukraine. For the moment, Western allies only see an ever-closer economic rapprochement between China and Russia. The issue was on the agenda of the meeting of the NATO foreign ministers on Wednesday, who expressed concern about the Chinese-Russian partnership, which threatens Ukraine. In response, NATO decided to close ranks with its partners in the South Pacific. The NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg announced that the leaders of Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand are also invited to the summer summit of the Alliance in Vilnius, in which the Ukrainian president will also participate.



    Gaudeamus – The Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair, organized for the 22nd time in the heart of Transylvania, in the city of Cluj, takes place from Thursday until Sunday. The event is hosted in 14 exhibition pavilions, including over 60 stands that bring together the offer of numerous publishing houses, Romanian and foreign book distributors, producers and distributors of music and games. The virtual stands of the participants can be found on www.gaudeamus.ro, in the online version of the fair, so that the editorial novelties, special offers and surprises prepared by the participants are also accessible to book lovers who cannot visit the fair.     Codes – The Romanian Chamber of Deputies adopted the draft laws that regulate the criminal and criminal procedure codes in the form drafted by the Ministry of Justice, without any amendment. Thus, they gave up the setting of a value threshold from which criminal sanctions are applied for abuse and negligence in office, as the senators had decided. Also, they kept the possibility of using phone tapping made by specialized services as evidence in the case of several crimes, including tax evasion and corruption.     NATO – On Friday, the NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană will visit the South-East Multinational Brigade from Craiova (southern Romania), whose Command has the mission to ensure the command and control of a NATO operation of the Article 5 type – Collective Defense, contributing, in this way, to the consolidation of the South-Eastern flank of the Alliance, to the security of the territory and the population of the member states. The NATO official made this announcement in an interview given to AGERPRES news agency, in Brussels, after the conclusion of the meeting of foreign ministers from the allied states, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mircea Geoana spoke in the interview about the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance and the relationship with the partner countries, as well as about the agenda of his mandate as NATO Deputy Secretary General, which was extended until October 2024. Mircea Geoana also referred to the war in Ukraine. In his opinion, the Kremlin leadership has been using the nuclear rhetoric in the most unprofessional and irresponsible way, even before the start of the war in Ukraine.



    Visit – The former president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, is visiting Bucharest today. He will be received by president Klaus Iohannis and will be granted the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE). The event takes place in the context of the manifestations organized by the higher education institution, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of its establishment on April 6. Jean-Claude Juncker was the President of the European Commission from 2014 to 2019.

    הקהילה היהודית של קלוז שבצפון מערב רומניה הודיעה על מותו של נשיאה, רוברט שוורץ. הוא היה בן 78 באת מותו. דוקטור לכימיה וחוקר מוערך בתחום הרוקחות, שוורץ נבחר לעמוד בראש הקהילה היהודית בקלוז בשנת 2010 ועמד בראשה עד הרגע האחרון לחייו. במהלך כהונתו הושגו מטרות חשובות כמו הקמת אנדרטת זיכרון לחללי השואה, שיפוץ מקדש הזיכרון ליהודים מגורשים, שיפוץ וחנוכת מרכז התרבות היהודי החדש בקלוז.



    שוורץ נולד ב-1944 בקלוז, שרד את השואה, כשהוא התחבה במרתף בית יחד עם אמו. הוא היה אדם ראוי לכבוד, מסור לקהילתו ולרוח הרב-תרבותית של קלוז, כך מסרה הקהילה היהודית המקומית.



    אלכסנדרו מורארו, הנציג המיוחד של הממשלה למאבק באנטישמיות ובשנאת זרים, אמר שרוברט שוורץ היה ניצול השואה, שחווה רגעים קשים בילדותו, ושלח את תנחומיו למשפחה ולקהילה היהודית כולה. ברגעים כאלה אנו זוכרים את הערכים שרוברט שוורץ כיבד: האומץ להילחם בחוסר סובלנות ובאפליה, הכבוד לערכים ולמסורות היהודיות, כמו גם המחויבות לצדק, כתב מורארו.



    הקהילה היהודית של אורדיה (צפון-מערב) מסרה כי קבלה בצער ובכאב את פטירתו של נשיא הקהילה היהודית בקלוז. נשיא קהילת אורדעה פליקס ט קופלמן יחד עם ההנהלה וחברי קהילת אורדעה שלח את תנחומים למשפחה, לקהילה היהודית של קלוז ולכל מי שהעריך את רוברט שוורץ.



    שגרירות ישראל ברומניה מסרה כי קבלה בצער עמוק את הבשורה על מותו של ד”ר רוברט שוורץ. שגריר ישראל ברומניה, ראובן אזר, אמר שהוא התכבד לפגוש את שוורץ בתחילת השנה והתרשם מתוצאות עבודתו בשירות הקהילה היהודית. תמיד נעריך את הישגיו, את הקשר ההדוק עם ישראל ואת התרומות להעמקה ידידות זו, הוסיף השגריר.



    מהמרכז למעקב ולמיגור האנטישמיות ברומניה, MCA ROMANIA, נמסר כי “עוד יהודי אמיתי הלך לעולמו, אחד שדאג ועשה רבות למען קהילתו. הוא ישאר תמיד בליבנו”, נרשם בהודעת המרכז.

    Jetzt ist Ingo Tegge am Ende seiner Amtszeit an der Leitung des Deutschen Kulturzentrums in Cluj und wird bald nach Zürich wechseln. Vor sieben Jahren hat er sich für Rumänien entschieden. Warum? Am Anfang sah er dien Schritt als Abenteuer, sagt Ingo Tegge.” Eigentlich bin ich ein Mensch, der gerne reist und andere Kulturen kennenlernen möchte. Aber nach einigen Jahren in Afrika, Südafrika und anderen Ländern habe ich eine Zeit lang – ich glaube fünf Jahre – in Süddeutschland, in Stuttgart, gelebt. Und für mich – ich komme aus Norddeutschland – ist der Süden ein bisschen fremd, ein bisschen langweilig, und ich war sehr motiviert, ins Ausland zu gehen. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich gesehen, dass in Cluj-Napoca, in Siebenbürgen, ein Job angeboten wurde.



    Für uns Deutsche ist Siebenbürgen ein Wort, das abenteuerlich und ein bisschen romantisch klingt. Ich fand es also sehr interessant und bin für diesen Job hier gelandet. Eigentlich war ich fast ein bisschen enttäuscht, denn Transsilvanien ist nicht sehr abenteuerlich, sondern eigentlich ein sehr guter Ort. Die Menschen sind sehr nett und die Infrastruktur ist ganz in Ordnung, abgesehen von den Autobahnen. Jetzt habe ich andere Abenteuer, denn ich bin mit einer Rumänin verheiratet, wir haben zwei Kinder und ich bin sehr glücklich.”



    Ingo Tegge ist fasziniert von der rumänischen Sprache, insbesondere von den Ausdrücken, die er in Cluj gelernt hat. Er hat einen Blog mit dem Titel Dinge, die ich über Rumänien gelernt habe, in dem er rumänische Ausdrücke aufschreibt, die ihm aufgefallen sind. Wir haben ihn gefragt, welcher ungewöhnliche Ausdruck, der nur für die rumänische Sprache typisch ist, ihm besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben ist. “Es gibt einige Ausdrücke im Rumänischen, die mir sehr gefallen haben. Für mich ist es ein bisschen kompliziert, weil es um eine andere Sprachfamilie handelt, aber für mich persönlich war es einfacher als zum Beispiel Französisch. Einige Ausdrücke haben mir aber besonders gefallen. Es gibt eine Situation, in der ein Handwerker nach Hause eingeladen wird und etwas reparieren muss, und jedes Mal, glaube ich, sind die ersten Worte “Wer hat hier gearbeitet?” und das ist etwas sehr Typisches, denke ich, für Rumänien.



    Das gibt es auch im Deutschen, aber nicht in demselben Ausma‎ß, und das war für mich sehr interessant. Ich habe es in meinen Blog aufgenommen, aber der Blog handelt auch von anderen interessanten Elementen der Kultur in Rumänien. Zum Beispiel die Art der Kommunikation. In Deutschland sprechen wir sehr sehr direkt, es ist eine Low-Context-Kultur, und in Rumänien haben wir hingegen eine High-Context-Kultur. Wenn zum Beispiel in Deutschland etwas nicht in Ordnung ist oder nicht funktioniert, sagen die Deutschen einfach Nein. Direkte oder indirekte Kommunikation – beides ist gut, aber man muss wissen, dass es einen Unterschied gibt.” Wir haben Ingo Tegge schlie‎ßlich gefragt, was er von Rumänien in die Schweiz mitnehmen möchte, wo er vor einer neuen beruflichen Erfahrung stehen wird:



    “Ich habe mich in Rumänien als Person sehr entwickelt und bin viel flexibler und spontaner geworden, das wird mir in der Schweiz bestimmt sehr hilfreich sein. Ich denke, dass die Menschen in der Schweiz äu‎ßerst unflexibel sind, ein bisschen wie die Deustchen, und es für mich von Vorteil sein, dass ich ein bisschen flexibler bin als die Menschen dort. Ein anderes Beispiel ist das Essen. Mein Lieblingsessen in Rumänien ist Auberginensalat, und ich glaube, der ist bei Ausländern sehr beliebt. Es ist nicht möglich, den gleichen Auberginensalat – in der gleichen Qualität – in Westeuropa zu machen, weil Auberginen sehr unterschiedlich sind, und ich hoffe, dass die Eltern meiner Frau etwas Auberginensalat für uns machen werden.”

    In the first leg of the play-offs for the eighth-finals of the football Conference League, on Thursday, CFR Cluj lost to Lazio Rome, away from home, 0-1. On Sunday, CFR play against FC Argeş, while FCSB meet Universitatea Craiova.     Two rounds before the end of the group stage in mens handball Champions League, Dinamo Bucharest has secured a spot in the play-offs for the quarter-finals. The Romanian champions, currently ranking 5th in Group A, are moving forward, after losing 33-26 to group leaders Paris Saint-Germain in France on Thursday. Next week they are taking on the Danish side Gudme in Bucharest.
