Festivalul RadiRo aproape de final: peste 9000 de spectatori în 8 zile

RadiRo — singurul festival din lume dedicat orchestrelor radio — unul dintre cele mai tinere festivaluri de această amploare din România, se apropie de final! Creat în 2012 ca o alternativă în anii în care nu se derulează Festivalul Internațional George Enescu, RadiRo este un eveniment produs și organizat o dată la doi ani de Radio România.

Duminică, 25 noiembrie (19:00), Festivalul Internațional al Orchestrelor Radio — ediția a IV-a – se va încheia la Sala Radio cu un concert extraordinar susținut la București de RTE National Symphony Orchestra — Irlanda, cu un program integral Ceaikovski (Uvertura operei Dama de pică, Poloneza din opera Evgheni Oneghin, Concertul op. 35 în Re major pentru vioară și orchestră și Simfonia a V-a).

Evenimentul se va derula sub bagheta celebrei dirijoare Nathalie Stutzmann (cunoscută în primul rând ca o voce de operă extrem de valoroasă — contralto), care se află în stagiunea curentă la pupitrul unora dintre cele mai prestigioase ansambluri din lume ca Philadelphia Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic sau National Symphony Orchestra Washington.

Invitat special al concertului de închidere RadiRo este și violonistul Ray Chen (născut în Taiwan și crescut în Australia). Ray Chen va cânta la Sala Radio pe o vioară de patrimoniu universal: Stradivarius Joachim (1715), deținută odinioară de virtuozul Joseph Joachim, unul dintre cei mai mari violoniști ai sec. XIX. Ray Chen a intrat în atenția lumii artistice internaționale ca laureat al Concursurilor Yehudi Menuhin (2008) și Queen Elizabeth (2009) și concertează astăzi alături de mari orchestre ca London Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra Nazionale della Santa Cecilia, Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Cea de-a IV-a ediție Festivalului RadiRo (18 – 25 noiembrie 2018) a însemnat, pe scurt :

3 mari orchestre europene prezente în premieră la Sala Radio: BBC Philharmonic Orchestra (Marea Britanie), Orchestra Radiodifuziunii Elveției Italiene (Orchestra della Svizzera italiana) și Orchestra Simfonică a Radioteleviziunii Irlandeze (RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra).

Cea mai veche orchestră radio europeană – Orchestra Simfonică a Radiodifuziunii MDR din Leipzig (Germania) a revenit în România cu 2 concerte extraordinare, sub bagheta lui Robert Trevino, unul dintre cei mai apreciaţi tineri dirijori americani ai momentului.

Orchestra Națională Radio, ansamblul ce aniversează în acest an 90 de ani de la înființare a prezentat concertul inaugural al festivalului (18 noiembrie), sub bagheta dirijorului francez Jean-Claude Casadesus și un al doilea eveniment în data de 21 noiembrie, de această dată la pupitru fiind alt maestru francez al baghetei: Frédéric Chaslin.

4 mari muzicieni aplaudați în cele mai importante săli de concerte ale lumii au sosit la București împreună cu instrumentele lor de patrimoniu universal — 3 viori Stradivarius și violoncelul de colecţie Giovanni Battista Rogeri (1671).

Secțiunea de jazz a adus-o la București pe Aura Urziceanu (revenită în România după o lungă absență) și 3 formații de jazz europene – Danish Radio Big Band (Danemarca), nominalizată în cadrul Grammy Awards, Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra (Croația), una dintre cele mai vechi orchestre big band din lume și Big Band-ul Radio România, recent aplaudat la Cerbul de Aur 2018.

Toate concertele festivalului sunt transmise live de Radio România, înregistrate și difuzate ulterior de Televiziunea Română și difuzate, de asemenea, de radiodifuziuni membre ale Uniunii Europene de Radio.

BREXIT– Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will attend on Sunday a special meeting of the European Council in Brussels. EU leaders are meeting to endorse the Brexit withdrawal agreement . The summit was called by President Donald Tusk on 15 November 2018, after his meeting with EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier, who presented to him the draft text as agreed with the UK at the level of the negotiators. Leaders are also expected to approve a political declaration on future EU-UK relations that will accompany and be referred to in the withdrawal agreement. The Commission intends to agree with the UK a final draft for this declaration, building on the outline agreed by the negotiators on both sides.

BUDGET REVISION — The second budget adjustment for 2018 is being discussed in today’s government meeting, Romanian PM Viorica Dancila has announced. She has also said that the budget adjustment is a positive one, and is aimed at maintaining the budget deficit target of 2.97% of the GDP, ensuring the necessary funds for the implementation of the government policies and programmes and for the well-functioning of the public institutions. The finance ministry, the labour ministry and the healthcare ministry will receive the biggest amount of additional funds. The justice, internal affairs and development ministries will also receive more money, as will the health insurance fund, the state social securities fund and the unemployment fund. The ministries of transport, research and innovation, culture, education, communication and information society, European funds, waters and forests, the environment and agriculture will receive less money.

HEALTH REPORT – The European Commission’s Health at a Glance: Europe report has been made public this month. Developed by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in cooperation with the European Commission, this publication provides analysis of the state of health of EU citizens and the performance of EU health systems. In addition to chapters containing statistical indicators for 35 European countries, the 2018 report includes two cross-cutting chapters on EU political priorities: promoting mental health and reducing inefficient spending. According to the report, Romanians’ life expectancy rate is among the lowest in the EU, with cardiovascular diseases and cancer as the main cause, while infectious diseases, TB in particular, are major health risks. The report also says that Romania has the lowest expenditure among all EU’s health systems, while the amounts that patients spend are very high as compared with the average spending in the community area. The insufficient staff, especially in the underproviledged areas, the underdevelopment of infrastructure are also problems of the Romanian health system. The report also says that the authorities have taken a series of measures to improve the situation.

VISIT — Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu travelled to Seoul on Friday for a three-day official visit that marks 10 years since the signing of the strategic partnership between Romania and South Korea. On this occasion, the South Korean Foreign Minister, Kang Kyung-wha, has called on Romania to play a key role in supporting the peace process in the Korean peninsula, especially next year, when Bucharest takes over the EU Council presidency. In turn, Teodor Melescanu said that Romania hopes to find ways of supporting the continuation of the peace process in the area, at a time when South Korea’s efforts focus on the full denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

RadiRo – The 4th edition of the International Radio Orchestras Festival — RadiRo, organized by Radio Romania, continues on Friday with another concert by the BBC Philharmonic, conducted by Ben Gernon. Also on Friday, Marilyn Mazur & The Danish Radio Big Band are giving a concert under the baton of Miho Hazama. RadiRo is the only event devoted to European and world radio orchestras. All concerts are broadcast live by Radio Romania’s channels, recorded and subsequently rebroadcast by the public television. The concerts are also rebroadcast by the radiobroadcasters that are members of the European Broadcasting Union.

NATIONAL DAY – Around 4,000 military and experts from the defence ministry, the interior ministry, the Romanian Intelligence Service and the National Prisons Administration, and over 200 pieces of equipment and 50 planes, as well as military from a number of allied and partner countries will take part in a military parade on the 1st of December in Bucharest on Romanias national day. The approximately 500 foreign troops taking part will come from Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the Republic of Moldova, Slovakia, the US, Turkey and Ukraine. The Romanian military in foreign missions and theatres of operation will also be holding special military ceremonies and activities to celebrate the national day.

Remaniement — Le ministre roumain des Transports, Lucian Şova, a démissionné jeudi. Le Comité exécutif national du Parti social – démocrate, principale force de la coalition au pouvoir à Bucarest, avait décidé lundi de remplacer Lucian Şova à la tête de ce ministère par Lia Olguţa Vasilescu. Le président du pays a refusé d’approuver la révocation de ses fonctions de M. Sova et rejeté la proposition des sociaux-démocrates pour ce portefeuille. Les sociaux-démocrates ont alors proposé Mircea Drăghici au ministère des Transports et Lia Olguţa Vasilescu au ministère du Développement régional et de l’Administration publique. Selon le Comité exécutif national du Parti social — démocrate, l’actuel titulaire de ce dernier portefeuille, Paul Stănescu, devrait lui aussi démissionner au cas où le président Klaus Iohannis refuserait de le révoquer de ses fonctions. Rappelons que le chef de l’Etat a accepté, en début de semaine, six autres propositions avancées par la première ministre pour le remaniement de son cabinet.

Justice — Le rapport du ministre de la justice, Tudorel Toader, sur l’activité managériale du procureur général de la Roumanie, Augustin Lazăr, ne respecte pas les dispositions légales en vigueur, les normes nationales et internationales en matière d’activité du ministère Public et contrevient à la jurisprudence définie par les organismes internationaux et par la Cour constitutionnelle de Roumanie. C’est ce précise la Section des procureurs du Conseil supérieur de la magistrature, qui a rendu publique ce jeudi la motivation de son récent avis négatif sur la proposition de révocation de ses fonctions d’Augustin Lazăr. Cet avis a un caractère consultatif. M. Lazar a demandé au tribunal de suspendre la procédure de sa révocation, démarrée par le ministre de la Justice, Tudorel Toader. Il a également déposé auprès du ministère de la Justice une plainte contre le rapport dévaluation rédigé par le ministre. Rappelons-le, le 24 octobre le ministre de la Justice a déclenché la procédure de révocation de ses fonctions du procureur général, laccusant entre autres de ne pas avoir rempli ses obligations légales. Pour sa part, Augustin Lazar affirme que toutes ses décisions ont été prises dans le respect des principes et des valeurs constitutionnelles. Le président roumain Klaus Iohannis a fait savoir mardi quil nallait prendre aucune décision en ce qui concerne la révocation du procureur général Augustin Lazar, avant que la contestation déposée par celui-ci ne soit solutionnée.

Visite – Dimitris Avramopoulos, commissaire européen chargé de la migration, des affaires intérieures et de la citoyenneté, effectue ce jeudi une visite officielle à Bucarest. Il s’est entretenu avec la ministre roumaine de l’Intérieur, Carmen Dan, du stade des préparatifs du mandat de la Roumanie à la tête du Conseil de l’UE. Carmen Dan a déclaré que le pays était prêt à assumer cette présidence tournante, qui devrait être ambitieuse et réaliste. A son tour, Dimitris Avramopoulos a dit soutenir l’adhésion de la Roumanie à l’espace Schengen. A l’agenda de la visite de l’officiel européen figurent aussi des rencontres avec la première ministre Viorica Dăncilă, avec le président du Sénat, Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu et avec le ministre délégué aux Affaires européennes, George Ciamba.

Réunion — Une réunion commune des gouvernements roumain et moldave a lieu ce jeudi, à Bucarest. Un entretien des deux premier ministres roumain et moldave, Viorica Dancila et respectivement Pavel Filip précède la réunion. Les deux délégations doivent discuter du stade et des perspectives des relations bilatérales et fixer les priorités de leur future coopération. Plusieurs accords bilatéraux seront conclus à cette occasion. Cette réunion a lieu dans le contexte de la future présidence roumaine du Conseil de l’UE, au premier semestre de 2019. Selon le cabinet de Bucarest, elle représente une bonne occasion pour encourager la République de Moldova à poursuivre ses efforts visant à mettre en œuvre les réformes assumées dans le cadre de l’Accord d’association avec l’UE. Notons que c’est la deuxième réunion intergouvernementale de cette année. La première a été accueillie par la capitale moldave, Chişinău, en février dernier. La cheffe de l’Exécutif roumain avait alors déclaré que la Roumanie était intéressé à accroitre ses investissements dans le pays voisins et à soutenir le parcours européen de celui-ci. Le premier ministre moldave Pavel Filip doit rencontrer aujourd’hui à Bucarest le chef de l’Etat, Klaus Iohannis, ainsi que les présidents du Sénat et de la Chambre des députés.

RadiRo — La 4e édition du festival international des orchestres de radio, RadioRo, événement organisé par Radio Roumanie, continue jeudi avec un concert de l’Orchestre philharmonique de la BBC. Mercredi soir, le public a eu la chance d’écouter l’orchestre national de la Radiodiffusion roumaine sous la baguette de Frédéric Chaslin, avec pour soliste le pianiste David Fray, ainsi qu’un concert de jazz proposé par le Big Band de la Radio roumaine et la chanteuse Aura Urziceanu. Tous les concerts sont transmis en direct par Radio Roumanie, rediffusés par la Télévision Roumaine publique et repris aussi par certaines stations membres de lUnion Européenne des Radios.

Handball — Le Dinamo Bucarest, équipe championne de Roumanie de handball masculin, a vaincu mercredi à domicile les Finlandais du Riihimaen Cocks, sur le score de 24 à 22, lors d’un match comptant pour le Groupe D de la Ligue des champions. Dinamo occupe la première place du classement, à égalité avec Orlen Wisla Plock, de Pologne. Les deux premières calssées se qualifient pour les play-off. Dinamo jouera le dernier match du Grupe le 29 novembre, en déplacement, contre l’équipe suisse de Wacker Thun.

Reshuffle — The Social Democratic transport minister Lucian Sova has resigned today. The executive committee of the Social Democratic Party, the main party in the ruling coalition in Bucharest, decided Monday to replace Sova with Lia Olguta Vasilescu but President Iohannis refused to approve his dismissal and the new nomination. The Social Democrats made a new proposal for the transport ministry, namely Mircea Draghici, nominating Lia Olguta Vasilescu for the ministry of regional development and public administration. Early this week President Iohannis accepted 6 new nominations made by PM Viorica Dancila for the ministries of defense, labor, economy, culture, communications and youth and sports.

Joint session — Bucharest is today hosting a joint session of the Romanian and Moldovan governments. The session was preceded by a bilateral meeting of the Romanian and Moldovan prime ministers. Talks focused on the stage and prospects of bilateral relations as well as on exploring opportunities for new cooperation projects. The meeting takes places in the run-up to Romania’s taking over the rotating presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2019. According to the Romanian government officials, this is going to be an opportunity to encourage the Republic of Moldova to carry on with the efforts for the implementation of the reforms it assumed under the Association Agreement with the EU. This is the 2nd joint session of the Romanian and Moldovan governments in 2018. During the February session held in Chisinau, the Romanian PM Viorica Dancila stated that Romania was interested in boosting investments in neighboring Moldova and in supporting its European accession process. The Moldovan PM will also meet today with President Klaus Iohannis and the speakers of the Romanian Senate and Chamber of Deputies.

Visit – The European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos is today paying an official visit to Bucharest where he met with the interior minister Carmen Dan for talks over the stage of preparations for Romania’s upcoming takeover of the presidency of the EU Council. The Romanian interior minister has given assurances to the European official that Bucharest is ready for the 6-month mandate, which she wants to be ambitious and realistic. In turn, the European Commissioner has stated that he supports Romania in its efforts for Schengen integration. The agenda of the European Commissioner also includes meetings with the Romanian PM, with the speaker of the Senate and the minister delegate for European affairs George Ciamba.

Justice — The report of the justice minister Tudorel Toader on the managerial activity of the prosecutor general Augustin Lazar does not observe the legal provisions in force, the national and international standards regulating the activity of the Public Ministry and it runs counter to the tradition of jurisprudence promoted by international bodies and Romania’s Constitutional Court. This is the conclusion of the Prosecutors’ Section within the Supreme Council of Magistracy that published today the explanatory statement for the negative opinion issued recently in relation to the justice minister’s proposal to dismiss the prosecutor general. The opinion is consultative. The prosecutor general has filed a complaint with the Ministry against the report on his managerial activity and also submitted in court a request for the suspension of the dismissal procedure. The Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis, announced that he would not make any decision regarding the dismissal of Mr. Lazar before a solution is given to his complaints.

On Wednesday evening, the festival schedule included a concert by the National Radio Orchestra that presented a Romantic program alongside French musicians, under the baton of conductor Frédéric Chaslin. Wednesday evening also saw the first jazz concert held during the RadiRo Festival, given by Aura Urziceanu together with the Radio Big Band. RadiRo is the only event devoted to European and world radio orchestras. All concerts are broadcast live by Radio Romania’s channels, recorded and subsequently rebroadcast by the public television. Reshuffle. The Executive Committee
of the Social Democratic Party has proposed Mircea Draghici and Lia Olguta
Vasilescu as ministers for transport and regional development, respectively. On
Tuesday, president Klaus Iohannis turned down the initial nominations for the
two positions, namely Lia Olguta Vasilescu for transports and Ilan Laufer for
regional development. He accepted six other proposals tabled by prime minister
Viorica Dancila for defence, labour, economy, culture, communications, as well
as youth and sports. The six, along with the new education minister, Ecaterina
Andronescu, who had been nominated earlier, have been sworn in. President
Iohannis said that, in his opinion, the government reshuffle planned by the
Social Democrats was not a good solution, and that the entire cabinet should be
replaced because of their poor performance. The president said he approved the
reshuffle because Romania is too close to taking over the European Union
presidency on 1st January 2019. Ilan Laufer, who is a Romanian Jew,
and whose nomination as minister for regional development was rejected by the
president, who is a German ethnic, said the refusal was yet another act of
anti-Semitism from the president this year. In response, the president has
firmly condemned the use of extremely sensitive language for political
purposes, emphasising that references to anti-Semitism and Nazism during a
political dispute are irresponsible and show a serious lack of education,
culture, diplomacy and knowledge of history.

Anticorruption. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has rejected
the proposal of the Justice Minister Tudorel Toader to appoint Adina Florea as
the new chief prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate.
Previously, Florea had also received a negative opinion from the Superior
Council of Magistracy. We recall that the position of chief prosecutor of the
National Anticorruption Directorate has been vacant since July, when its
former occupant Laura Codruta Kovesi was dismissed by President Klaus Iohannis following
a ruling to that affect by the Constitutional Court.

Schengen.
The time has come to step up Romania’s
accession to the Schengen area, said the president of the European Parliament
Antonio Tajani at the end of a meeting of the Conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments with the Romanian
government in the run up to Romania’s taking over the EU Council presidency on
1st of January 2019. Brexit, the annual post-2020 budget, the
preparation of the Sibiu summit in central Romania to discuss the future of the
Union and the European Parliament elections are some of the issues that will
dominate Romania’s term, one that is well prepared, according to prime minister
Viorica Dancila. The Romanian authorities have presented the four main themes
of its 6-month presidency: a cohesive Europe, a Europe with a greater global
role, a Europe of security and a Europe of values. The European Parliament
delegation headed by Antonio Tajani also had talks with president Klaus
Iohannis, who pointed out that Romania wishes to contribute to the promotion
of the common European
agenda in a constructive and consensual spirit. Another item on the agenda of
the European delegation was a debate with young Romanians at the Faculty of Law
in Bucharest.

Budget deficit. The European
Commission has established that Romania has not taken measures to reach its
medium-term budget objective. The Commission has also recommended Bucharest to
reduce its budget deficit next year by at least 1% of the GDP. A previous
recommendation in this respect from June this year indicated 0.8% for both this
year and the next. The European Commission has also warned that Romania’s
public deficit has gone up from 0.5% of the GDP in 2015 to 2.9% in 2016 and is
estimated to reach 3.3% per year.

Joint meeting. The governments of Romania and Republic of Moldova (ex-Soviet state with
a majority Romanian-speaking population) are to hold a joint meeting on
Thursday in Bucharest. The announcement was made simultaneously in Bucharest
and Chisinau. The two prime ministers, Viorica Dancila and Pavel Filip, will
have talks prior to the meeting. The two delegations will review the joint
projects and establish the cooperation priorities for the future, as well as
sign a number of bilateral agreements in various fields.

Pensions. Senate will resume debates and vote on the pensions bill on Monday. Last week, the bill received a positive opinion from the labour committee, who made no significant changes to the version approved by the government. The new bill, say the law makers, seeks to eliminate the inequalities in the public pensions system that have led to situations in which people with the same seniority, the same profession and the same amount of contribution have ended up with different amounts of pension. The bill provides for the gradual increase in the pension point by 2021. The minimum contribution period remains 15 years. As a novelty, women who have fulfilled this condition and have given birth to three children may retire six years earlier. The former labour minister Lia Olguta Vasilescu has given assurances that no pension will be lower as a result of the new law. The opposition has criticised the bill, however. The Save Romania Union senator Florin Presada has spoken about inequality, given that the so-called special pensions are still in place.

Festival. The Romanian National Radio
Orchestra featuring pianist David Fray conducted by Frédéric Chaslin have a
performance on Wednesday night as part of the RadiRo Festival of Radio
Orchestras organised by Radio Romania. The day’s events also included a jazz
performance by Aura Urziceanu and the Radio Big Band conducted by Ionel Tudor. This
fourth edition of the RadiRo Festival brings together three major world
orchestras, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland, and the
RTÉ National Symphony
Orchestra from Ireland. For the first time since its inception, the
festival also includes jazz music. All the events are broadcast live by Radio
Romania, and rebroadcast by the Romanian public television and by other radio
stations as part of the European Broadcasting Union.

Bukarest: Das Exekutiv-Kommittee auf Landesebene der Sozialdemokratischen Partei hat Mircea Draghici und Lia Olguta Vasilescu an der Spitze des Transportministeriums bzw des Ministeriums für Regionale Entwickling nominiert. Staatspräsident Klaus Iohannis hatte am Dienstag die Vorschläge für die zwei Ministerien abgelehnt: Lia Olguţa Vasilescu für das Transportministerium und Ilan Laufer für das Ministerium für Regionale Entwicklung. Iohannis hat weitere sechs Vorschläge der Premierministerin Viorica Dăncilă akzeptiert und zwar für Verteidigung, Arbeit, Wirtschaft, Kultur, Kommunikationen sowie für Sport und Jugend. Die Minister, die die oben erwähnten Ämter bekleiden werden und Ecaterina Andronescu, die vergangene Tage für das Bildungsministerium nominiert wurde, haben das Eid abgelegt. Klaus Iohannis meinte, die Umbildung der Regierung sei eine schwache Lösung; ein korrekte Lösung für Rumänien wäre eine komplett neue Regierung gewesen. Die jetzige habe sehr viele Probleme für das Land verursacht, so der rumänische Staatspräsident, der weiterhin erklärte, er habe das Dekret zur Umbildung der Regierung unterzeichnet, nur weil Rumänien in kurzer Zeit die EU-Ratspräsidentschaft übernehmen werde. Ilan Laufer, rumänischer Jude, dessen Nominierung abgelehnt wurde, sagte, die Ablehnung durch den Staatspräsidenten Klaus Iohannis, der ein Deutscher sei, wäre ein neuer antisemitischer Akt des Staatsoberhauptes. Als Antwort darauf hat Klaus Iohannis kräftig das Gebrauchen von heiklen Themen mit einem politischen Ziel verurteilt und hob hervor, die Bezugnahmen auf Antisemitismus und Nazismus in einem politischen Konflikt seien verantwortungslos und beweisen Mangel an Bildung, Kultur, Diplomatie und Geschichte.

Brüssel: Die Europäische Kommission hat festgestellt, dass Rumänien keine Maßnahmen für das Erzielen des mittelfristigen Haushaltszieles getroffen habe. Gleichzeitig empfehlt sie Bukarest, dass im kommenden Jahr das öffentliche Defizit wenigstens um 1% des BIP reduziert wird. In Juni war die Empfehlung für 2018 und 2019, das Defizit um 0,8% aus dem BIP nach unten zu korrigieren. Die Europäische Kommission macht darauf aufmerksam, dass das öffentliche Defizit Rumäniens von 0,5% aus dem BIP im Jahre 2015 auf 2,9% im Jahre 2016 gestiegen ist. Die Prognose sagt ein Defizit von 3,3% im Jahr voraus.

Bukarest: Der rumänische Präsident Klaus Iohannis hat am Mittwoch den Vorschlag des Justizministers Tudorel Toader abgelehnt, Adina Florea zum Oberstaatsanwalt der Nationalen Anti-Korruptions-Direktion zu ernennen. Minister Toader hat den Vorschlag Mitte Oktober dem Staatsoberhaupt übermittelt. Zuvor hatte Adina Florea eine negative Stellungnahme des Obersten Rates der Justizbehörde erhalten, die schätzte, dass sie eine geringe Stressresistenz und eine geringe Analyse- und Synthesekapazität habe. Die Stellungnahme des Obersten Rates der Justizbehörde war beratend. Wir erinnern daran, dass die Position des Generalstaatsanwalts der DNA im Juli frei wurde, nachdem Laura Codruta Kovesi vom Präsidenten Klaus Iohannis entlassen wurde, der eine Entscheidung des Verfassungsgerichts umsetzte.

Bukarest: Am Mittwoch Abend hat auf der Bühne des internationalen Festivals RadiRo das Nationale Rundfunkorchester unter der Leitung des Dirigenten Frédéric Chaslin gespielt. Solist war der Klavierspieler David Fray. Auf dem Programm stand auch ein Jazzkonzert der Sängerin Aura Urziceanu und des Big Bands geleitet von Ionel Tudor.

Editura Casa Radio – două lansări discografice la RadiRo

În seria cadourilor pe care Editura Casa Radio le face publicului în acest an dublu aniversar – România Centenar şi Radio România 90, se înscrie şi apariţia a două albume de jazz care vor fi lansate cu ocazia celor două concerte Aura Urziceanu şi Big Band-ul Radio. Dirijor: Ionel Tudor, desfăşurate în cadrul celei de-a patra ediţii a Festivalului Internaţional al Orchestrelor Radio, RadiRo, miercuri, 21 noiembrie, ora 19:00, respectiv sâmbătă, 24 noiembrie, ora 19:00, la Sala Auditorium a Muzeului Naţional de Artă al României.

Cel mai recent compact-disc al Big Band-ului Radio, Alin Constanţiu – Remember ’26 Dixieland Band. When the Saints Go Marchin’ In, este un omagiu adus memoriei marelui jazzman Alin Constanţiu, cel care a inspirat, ca artist dar şi coleg, pe mulţi dintre membrii Big Band-ului Radio.

Albumul va fi lansat la finalul concertului din 21 noiembrie, ora 19:00, la Sala Auditorium a Muzeului Naţional de Artă al României. La eveniment va participa cunoscutul om de radio şi promotor de jazz Florian Lungu, cel care a avut ideea realizării acestui album şi care a semnat prezentarea CD-ului.

Cel de-al doilea album de jazz lansat de Casa Radio la RadiRo, Unspoken – Live at the Radio Hall, este semnat de unul dintre membrii Big Band-ului Radio, trompetistul Sebastian Burneci, un instrumentist binecunoscut şi apreciat de public, dar şi un compozitor inspirat. Prin acest CD, artistul propune o muzică ce îmbină sound-ul de jazz cu sonorităţile simfonice clasice, cu folclorul şi rock-ul, în aranjamentele orchestrale ale dirijoarei Simona Strungaru.

Albumul va fi lansat, cu participarea lui Sebastian Burneci şi a realizatorului radio şi comentatorului de jazz Cristian Marica, înainte de începerea concertului din 24 noiembrie, ora 19:00, de la Sala Auditorium a Muzeului Naţional de Artă al României. La finalul spectacolului, protagonistul albumului va oferi publicului o sesiune de autografe.

Remaniement – La direction du Parti Social Démocrate (PSD), principale formation de la coalition de gouvernement en Roumanie devrait proposer aujourd’hui de nouveaux ministres aux Transports et au Développement régional. Mardi, le président Klaus Iohannis a rejeté la nomination de Mme Lia Olguta Vasilescu (jusqu’ici titulaire du portefeuille de l’Emploi) au poste de ministre des Transports et celle de M Ilan Laufer à la tête du Développement régional, les considérant inappropriées. Par ailleurs, mardi toujours, les nouveaux titulaires de plusieurs portefeuilles ministériels, à savoir l’Education, la Défense, l’Economie, la Culture et l’identité nationale, les Communications et société informationnelle, la Jeunesse et le Sports, ont prêté serment. L’occasion pour le chef de l’Etat d’affirmer qu’à son avis, ce remaniement n’était pas « la bonne solution », car il aurait fallu remplacer l’ensemble du gouvernement vu ses faibles résultats. Il a précisé avoir signé le décret de nomination des 6 ministres uniquement parce que le mandat de la Roumanie à la tête du Conseil de l’UE approchait à grands pas. Pour sa part, M llan Laufer, qui est d’origine juive, a accusé le chef de l’Etat d’antisémitisme suite au refus de celui-ci d’accepter sa nomination. En réplique, Klaus Iohannis a dénoncé l’utilisation de sujets sensibles à des fins politiques, soulignant que les références à l’antisémitisme et au nazisme dans cette dispute politique étaient irresponsables, témoignant de graves lacunes en éducation, culture, diplomatie et histoire.

UE – « Je crois qu’il est temps d’accélérer le processus d’adhésion de la Roumanie à l’espace Schegen », a déclaré ce mercredi à Bucarest, le président du Parlement Européen, Antonio Tajani, à l’issue de la Conférence des présidents du législatif communautaire avec le gouvernement roumain, organisée dans la perspective de la présidence tournante de l’UE que la Roumanie assumera au 1er janvier 2019. A son tour, la première ministre roumaine, Viorica Dancila, a assuré que Bucarest était prêt, y compris d’un point de vue logistique, pour son mandat, le Parlement de la Roumanie devant voter la forme finale du programme de la présidence roumaine dans les plus brefs délais. Un programme comportant de nombreux événements prévus en Roumanie et à Bruxelles, a encore ajouté la cheffe de l’Exécutif roumain. Notons que la Conférence des présidents du PE est un organisme du Législatif communautaire en charge des questions administratives et de l’agenda du PE. Elle réunit le président du PE, les présidents des groupes politiques et un représentant des parlementaires non affiliés. Cette délégation avec à sa tête Antonio Tajani, elle doit s’entretenir à Bucarest avec plusieurs hauts responsables roumains. Lors de la rencontre avec le président Klaus Iohannis, M Tajani a rappelé que un des moments clé du mandat de la Roumanie, à savoir les élections euro-parlementaires. Il est nécessaire de transmettre un message constructif aux citoyens européens en ce qui concerne le travail du PE, a-t-il précisé. A son tour, Klaus Iohannis a réitéré le fait que Bucarest souhaitait aider à promouvoir l’agenda européen commun, dans un esprit constructif et consensuel.

Retraites – Le projet de loi sur les retraites doit être débattu et voté aujourd’hui par le Sénat de la Roumanie. La semaine dernière l’acte normatif a reçu l’avis favorable de la Commission chargée du travail. Selon le pouvoir de Bucarest, la nouvelle loi vise à éliminer les iniquités existant dans le système public des retraites, à cause desquelles des personnes ayant travaillé le même nombre d’années dans la même profession touchent des pensions de retraites différentes. Une augmentation par étapes du point de retraite est donc prévue d’ici 2021, alors que la période minimum de cotisation reste la même : 15 ans. Parmi les nouveautés, mentionnons le fait que les femmes ayant rempli cette période minimale de cotisation et qui ont donné naissance à 3 enfants bénéficieront d’une réduction de 6 ans de l’âge du départ à la retraite. L’ancienne ministre du Travail, Lia Olguta Vasilescu assurait pour sa part qu’aucune pension n’allait diminuer suite à l’entrée en vigueur de la nouvelle loi. Par contre, l’opposition a critiqué le projet de loi, estimant que l’iniquité ne serait pas éliminée tant que les retraites spéciales restaient en vigueur.

Transplantation – En Roumanie, la nouvelle loi des transplantations a été finalisée et sera soumise sous peu au débat public. Selon la ministre de la Santé, Sorina Pintea, les nouvelles mesures sont censées révolutionner le domaine. Parmi elles : la possibilité d’exprimer son accord ou désaccord pour le don d’organes, cellules et tissus en vue des transplantations. En l’absence de l’accord, le don ne peut être réalisé qu’avec la permission de la famille. Par ailleurs, la loi interdit la vente d’orages.

RadiRo – Le festival international des orchestres de radio, RadioRo, se poursuit à Bucarest. Ce soir, ce sera le tour de l’orchestre national de la Radiodiffusion roumaine de monter sur scène sous la baguette de Frédéric Chaslin, avec pour soliste le pianiste David Fray. Toujours ce mercredi, le Big Band de la Radio roumaine et la chanteuse Aura Urziceanu donnent un concert de jazz dans le cadre du même festival. Cette manifestation unique en Europe est organisée par Radio Roumanie.

Football – La sélection nationale de football de la Roumanie a gagné mardi soir le match contre le Monténégro, score 1 but à 0. C’était son dernier match du Groupe 4 de la Série C de la Ligue des Nations, une compétition créée récemment. Avec 3 victoires et 3 matchs nuls, la Roumanie a cumulé 12 points se classe 2e dans son groupe, après la Serbie qui a 14 points. Ces résultats sont importants en vue des préliminaires du Championnat d’Europe de 2020.

RESHUFFLING The President of Romania Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday signed the government reshuffling order based on the nominations made by the Social Democratic Party in power. Later on Tuesday the new ministers of Education, Defense, Economy, Culture and National Identity, Communication and Information Society and Youth and Sports were sworn in before President Iohannis. But the ministers’ list does not include the proposals for the Ministry for Regional Development and Public Administration and the Transport Ministry, Ilan Laufer and Lia Olguta Vasilescu, respectively. Eight ministries in Viorica Dancila’s Cabinet, including the Defence and Labour, should have been headed by new chiefs. President Iohannis says the current reshuffling is an incomplete solution, and the correct option for Romania would have been to replace the Cabinet as a whole, because the current team has created lots of problems for the country. In turn, the PM explained that the reshuffling was designed to improve the performance of the Government, ahead of Romania’s rotating presidency of the EU Council starting on January 1, 2019. The right-of-centre opposition argues however that the sole criterion in selecting the new ministers was their obedience to the Social Democratic Party president, Liviu Dragnea.

JUSTICE The European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourova had meetings in Bucharest on Tuesday with the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, and the Justice Minister Tudorel Toader. Talks focused on the priorities in the field of justice, in the context of Romania’s presidency of the EU Council and of the recent developments in the Romanian judiciary. It is important for Romania to take the necessary steps in order to ensure the independence of the judiciary, Vera Jourova said after the meeting with Romania’s Justice Minister. Later on Tuesday the European official gave an address in Bucharest on the Universal Children’s Day, focusing on the situation of children abandoned as a result of regional conflicts or of labour migration, as part of an event organised by the Presidential Administration. 29 years since the signing of the UN Convention on the rights of the child, there are still millions of children around the world who do not go to school, are not protected and cannot live in their home country or town.

VISIT President Klaus Iohannis received in Bucharest on Tuesday the president of the European Court of Auditors, Klaus-Heiner Lehne, who was on an official visit ahead of Romania taking over the rotating presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2019. President Iohannis emphasized the importance of the control mechanisms, especially when they contribute to the improvement of public practices with positive effects on economy and the society. In turn, the European official said that cutting red tape and increasing EU funds absorption were essential at the level of both the EU and national parliaments. On Monday, Klaus-Heiner Lehne met with PM Viorica Dăncilă. The talks focused on strengthening the EU mechanisms for the efficient management and spending of European funds. The PM reiterated Bucharest’s willingness to cooperate with the European Court of Auditors in order to improve the absorption rate and for an efficient management of the European funds, particularly in fields of interest for Romania. Also, in the context of the Romanian presidency of the EU Council, Viorica Dăncilă said that at present Romania is fully prepared to take over this mission.

STRIKE The Bucharest underground trade unions decided on Tuesday to postpone the planned all-out strike until after a meeting with the new Transport Minister, nominated after the government reshuffling. Staff were scheduled to go on indefinite strike on Wednesday, although the Bucharest Court ruled the protest was illegal. The unionists demand a 42% pay raise, although the net average income paid by the state-owned Metrorex company is substantially higher than the national level. The Ministry argues that in fact the trade unions are disgruntled that they would no longer manage the shopping areas in the stations. Some 700,000 passengers a day use the Bucharest underground system.

RADIRO The MDR, Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, performed on Tuesday evening for the second time as part of the International Festival of Radio Orchestras – RadiRo, organised by Radio Romania. The soloist was the pianist Mihai Ritivoiu. On Monday evening, the German orchestra conducted by Robert Trevino gave a highly appreciated performance. This year’s edition, the 4th of the festival, features 3 ensembles that perform for the first time at the Radio Hall: BBC Philharmonic (UK), Orchestra de la Svizzera Italiana – Lugano (Switzerland) and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra (Ireland). Also this year, the only festival in the world devoted to radio orchestras will include jazz recitals, for the first time. All the concerts as part of RadiRo are broadcast live by Radio Romania channels, recorded and broadcast subsequently by the Romanian public television, and also aired by stations affiliated to the European Broadcasting Union.

FOOTBALL Romanias football team is playing today a decisive game against Montenegro, in Podgorica, in Group 4 of the UEFA Nations League C Series. On Saturday, Romania beat Lithuania, 3-0, on home turf in Ploieşti. The League results count as qualifiers for the EURO 2020. Romania ranks 2nd in Group 4, Series C of the Nations League and needs to defeat Montenegro tonight. In the other important match of the day, group leaders Serbia are taking on Lithuania. Should Lithuania avoid a defeat in Belgrade and if Montenegro loses tonights match, Romania will move to the top position in the group.

Gouvernement – Les noms des 8 nouveaux ministres, choisis lundi par la direction du Parti Social Démocrate, principale formation politique de la coalition au pouvoir, ont été transmis au président Klaus Iohannis. Selon la première ministre, Viorica Dancila, ce remaniement est censé améliorer la prestation de l’équipe gouvernementale, y compris dans la perspective du mandat de la Roumanie à la tête du Conseil de l’UE durant les 6 premiers mois de l’année prochaine. Pour sa part, l’opposition de droite estime que l’unique critère de sélection des nouveaux ministres a été la docilité envers le leader social-démocrate, Liviu Dragnea.

Métro – Les syndicats du métro de Bucarest ont décidé de reporter la grève générale annoncée pour mercredi en attendant une première rencontre avec le nouveau ministre des Transports, nommé lundi lors du remaniement gouvernemental. Les employés du métro menaçaient de déclencher une grève générale illimitée à compter de demain, malgré le fait que le Tribunal de Bucarest a déclaré que leurs protestations sont illégales. Ils demandent une augmentation de salaire de 42%, alors que la direction de Metrorex, compagnie subordonnée au ministère des Transports, ne leur offre que 18% tout au plus, et précise que le revenu net de ses salariés dépasse de loin la moyenne nationale. De même, selon Metrorex, les syndicalistes sont en réalité mécontents du fait que les syndicats ne géreront plus les espaces commerciaux des stations de métro. Notons que 700.000 personnes voyagent en métro tous les jours à Bucarest.

Commissaire – La commissaire européenne à la Justice, Věra Jourova, se trouve ces lundi et mardi en visite officielle à Bucarest. Elle doit rencontrer ce mardi le président roumain, Klaus Iohannis, le ministre de la Justice, Tudorel Toader, ainsi que d’autres hauts responsables. Les discussions seront consacrées aux sujets qui seront considérés comme prioritaires par la Roumanie dans le domaine de la Justice pendant qu’elle assurera la présidence du Conseil de l’UE ; et aux évolutions du système judiciaire en Roumanie. Toujours à Bucarest, la commissaire Věra Jourova, fera une allocution à l’occasion de la Journée internationale des Droits de l’Enfance notamment sur la situation des enfants abandonnés suite aux conflits régionaux ou à cause de la migration de la main d’œuvre, tout cela dans le cadre d’un événement organisé par l’Administration présidentielle. Notons que, 29 ans après la signature de la Convention de l’ONU sur les droits et les libertés dont devraient bénéficier tous les enfants du monde, il existe toujours sur l’ensemble de la planète des millions d’enfants qui ne vont pas à l’école, qui ne sont pas protégés et qui ne peuvent plus vivre dans leur pays ou leur ville d’origine.

Visite – Le président de la Cour des comptes européenne, Klaus-Heiner Lehne, effectue ces 19 et 20 novembre une visite officielle en Roumanie, dans le contexte de la future présidence roumaine du Conseil de l’UE. Il doit être reçu aujourd’hui par le chef de l’Etat Roumain, Klaus Iohannis. Lundi, il s’est entretenu avec la première ministre Viorica Dancila entre autre sur les manières de renforcer les mécanismes européens afin de mieux gérer et mieux utiliser les fonds européens, notamment au bénéfice des citoyens. L’occasion pour la cheffe du gouvernement roumain de répéter la volonté de Bucarest de coopérer avec le fonds européen d’audit pour maximiser le taux absorption de l’argent communautaire et améliorer la gestion de ces sommes dans les domaines d’intérêt pour la Roumanie. L’occasion aussi pour Mme Dancila de souligner encore une fois que Bucarest était prêt à assumer la présidence tournante de l’UE.

CAE – Le ministre roumain des Affaires Etrangères, Teodor Melescanu, a participé lundi à Bruxelles, à la réunion du Conseil des Affaires étrangères. L’occasion pour le chef de la diplomatie roumaine de souligner l’importance pour l’UE de maintenir ses engagements en ce qui concerne la stabilité et la sécurité des pays d’Asie Centrale. Pendant son mandat à la tête du Conseil de l’UE, la Roumanie continuera à manifester un intérêt spécial pour la dynamisation des relations de l’UE avec les pays de cette région, a précisé M Melescanu. En ce qui concerne l’Ukraine, les ministres européens des AE ont réaffirmé la position de l’UE, qui ne reconnait pas les récentes élections séparatistes de ce pays car elles contreviennent aux accords de Minsk. Enfin, Teodor Melescanu a rappelé le fait que la Roumanie a soutenu constamment le parcours européen et euro-atlantique de l’Ukraine voisine et a toujours encouragé Kiev à poursuivre le processus des réformes nécessaires pour atteindre ce but.

RadiRo – Le festival international des orchestres de radio, RadiRo, se poursuit à Bucarest par un 2e concert de l’orchestre symphonique de la radio de Leipzig, avec comme soliste le pianiste roumain Mihai Ritivoiu. Lundi, le premier concert de l’orchestre allemand dirigé par Robert Trevino a fait les délices d’un public très nombreux. Jusqu’à dimanche prochain, la salle de concert de Radio Roumanie et l’auditorium du Musée national d’art de Bucarest accueilleront huit concerts symphoniques et quatre de jazz, ces derniers étant une première pour ce festival. Tous les concerts seront transmis en direct par Radio Roumanie et rediffusés par la Télévision Roumaine publique. Les stations membres de l’Union Européenne des Radios diffuseront à leur tour les concerts du Festival international des orchestres de radio « RadiRo ».

A doua zi a Festivalului RadiRo

Orchestra Simfonică a Radiodifuziunii Germane din Leipzig a susținut astăzi cel de-al doilea concert din cadrul ediției a IV-a a Festivalului Internațional al Orchestrelor Radio – RadiRo”, eveniment produs de Radio România. Cea mai veche orchestră radio din lume a fost condusă de dirijorului Robert Trevino. Solista concertului care s-a desfășurat în această seară, la Sala Radio, a fost violonista Simone Lamsma. Programul a cuprins Concertul nr. 1 op. 26 în sol minor de Max Bruch și Simfonia a V-a din creația lui Gustav Mahler. Mai multe detalii pe www.radirofestival.ro.

Remaniement gouvernemental — Le Comité exécutif national du Parti social -démocrate, principale force de la coalition au pouvoir à Bucarest, a voté lundi le remaniement de plusieurs de ses ministres au sein du cabinet Viorica Dancila. Ainsi, , Ilan Laufer, ancien ministre pour le milieu des affaires, évincé lors d’un remaniement précédent, rejoindra-t-il l’équipe gouvernementale à la tête du ministère du Développement et en tant que vice-premier aussi. Gabriel Leş prendra les rênes du ministère de la Défense, faisant suite à la démission de ce matin de Mihai Fifor, l’ancien titulaire. Marius Budăi, anciennement président de la Commission budget – finances de la Chambre des députés, prendra le portefeuille du ministère du Travail, remplaçant Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, pressentie aux Transports. Enfin, les ministres actuels de l’Economie, de la Culture, des Communications, ainsi que la détentrice du portefeuille du ministère pour la Jeunesse et les Sports seront écartés eux aussi. Autre démission actée par le comité exécutif national du Parti social – démocrate est celle de Gabriel Firea, maire de Bucarest, qui a jeté l’éponge quittant ses fonctions de vice-président du parti et présidente par intérim de la filiale locale de Bucarest. Le comité a, en outre, voté la dissolution de la direction du parti au département d’Ilfov, dirigée par la même Gabriela Firea.

Procureur général — La section des procureurs du Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature a donné un avis négatif à la demande de révocation de ses fonctions du procureur général de la Roumanie, Augustin Lazar, une initiative du ministre de la Justice, Tudorel Toader. Rappelons-le, le procureur général avait déposé une plainte auprès du ministère de la Justice contre le rapport sur son activité. Il a également déposé auprès de la Cour d’appel du département d’Alba (centre) une demande de suspension de la procédure de révocation, demande sur laquelle la Cour devrait se pencher mardi. Pour sa part, le président roumain, Klaus Iohannis a fait savoir qu’il n’allait pas se prononcer au sujet de la révocation de M Lazar avant que la contestation déposée par celui-ci ne soit solutionnée. Notons que le 24 octobre dernier, le ministre de la Justice, Tudorel Toader, avait déclenché la procédure de révocation de ses fonctions du procureur général, Augustin Lazar, l’accusant principalement de ne pas avoir rempli ses obligations légales. M Lazar affirme de son côté que toutes ses décisions avaient été prises dans le respect des principes et des valeurs constitutionnels. Rappelons aussi que la semaine dernière, la Commission Européenne a rendu public son rapport MCV pour la Roumanie, qui recommande entre autres la suspension immédiate de toutes les procédures de nomination et de révocation des procureurs en chef.

Visite — La commissaire européenne à la Justice, Věra Jourova, se trouve ces lundi et mardi en visite officielle à Bucarest. Elle doit rencontrer mardi le président roumain, Klaus Iohannis, le ministre de la Justice, Tudorel Toader, ainsi que d’autres hauts dignitaires. Les discussions viseront les priorités du domaine de la Justice dans le contexte de la future présidence roumain du Conseil de l’UE et les évolutions du système judiciaire en Roumanie. Toujours dans la perspective du futur mandat roumain à la tête du Conseil de l’UE, au premier semestre de 2019, Bucarest va accueillir cette semaine la conférence des présidents du Parlement européen avec le gouvernement roumain. Y participeront la première ministre roumaine, des membres de l’Exécutif de Bucarest, le président et le secrétaire général du Parlement européen, respectivement Antonio Tajani et Klaus Welle, ainsi que les leaders des groupes politiques européens. Les discussions seront ciblées sur le futur budget de l’Union, sur le Brexit et sur l’évolution de la politique de sécurité, a précisé la cheffe de l’Exécutif de Bucarest.

Bruxelles — La Commission européenne a exprimé lundi sa confiance dans le professionnalisme de la future présidence roumaine du Conseil de l’UE, tout en rappelant l’appel du président de l’Exécutif européen, Jean-Claude Juncker, au consensus politique national nécessaire en Roumanie avant et pendant ce mandat. Cette déclaration a été faite lors du point de presse quotidien de lExécutif européen, par le porte-parole Margaritis Schinas. La Roumanie succédera à l’Autriche à la tête du Conseil de l’UE, à partir du 1er janvier 2019.

RadiRo — Poursuite, à Bucarest, du festival international des orchestres de radio, RadiRo, organisé par Radio Roumanie. La 4e édition de cet événement inclut, en première, des récitals de jazz aussi. Tous les concerts sont transmis en direct par Radio Roumanie, enregistrés et diffusés par la suite par la télévision publique roumaine. Les stations membres de lUnion Européenne des Radios diffuseront à leur tour les concerts du Festival international des orchestres de radio « RadiRo ».

Bukarest: Die mitregierenden
Sozialdemokraten haben am Montag im Rahmen einer Sitzung des
Exekutiv-Kommittees auf Landesebene die Neubesetzung einiger Ministerposten
beschlossen. Laut dem Exekutivkomitee werde der ehemalige Minister für Geschäftsumfeld
Ilan Laufer als Vizepremier und Entwicklungsminister wieder aufgenommen. An der
Spitze des Verteidigungsministeriums soll eneut Gabriel Leş sein, nachdem Mihai Fifor zurückgetreten ist. Der
Vorsitzende des Ausschusses der Abgeordnetenkammer für Haushalt, Finanzen und
Banken Marius Budăi könnte zum Arbeitsminister ernannt werden. Er wird Lia
Olguţa Vasilescu ersetzen, die das Verkehrsministerium leiten soll. Ersetzt werden
auch der Wirtschafts-, der Kultur-, der Kommunikationsminister sowie der
Minister für Sport und Jugend. Indes trat die Oberbürgermeisterin von Bukarest
Gabriela Firea als Interims-Vorsitzende der Bukarester PSD-Filiale zurück. Das
sei eine Protestaktion, so Firea, weil in der Filiale seit zwei Jahren keine
Wahlen stattgefunden hätten. Auch habe die Partei sie nicht unterstüzt, das
Programm der Sozialdemokraten für die Hauptstadt umzusetzen. Firea hatte in den
vergagenen Wochen den PSD-Vorsitzenden Liviu Dragnea auf’s Schärfste
kritisiert.

Brüssel: Die Europäische Kommission hat am Montag ihr Vertrauen in der rumänischen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft ausgedrückt und hob erneut den Appell des Vorsitzenden Jean-Claude Juncker an Rumänien hervor, ein politisches nationales Konsensus in Rumänien sowohl vor der Übernahme der Ratspräsidentschaft als auch während der Präsidentschaft zu sichern, so der Sprecher Margaritis Schinas auf der gewöhnlichen Pressekonferenz. Rumänien wird am 1. Januar 2019 von Österreich die EU-Ratspräsidentschaft übernehmen.

Bukarest: Der Oberste Richterrat hat eine negative Stellungnahme zur beantragten Abberufung des rumänischen Generalstaatsanwalts Augustin Lazăr angenommen. Der sozialdemokratische Justizminister Tudorel Toader hatte den Antrag gestellt. Die Stellungnahme der für Staatsanwälte zuständigen Kammer des Richterrates hat eine beratende Rolle. Zuvor hatte der Generalstaatsanwalt eine Beschwerde an das Ministerium gerichtet, in der er den Bericht über seine Führungstätigkeit beanstandet. Ferner hatte Augustin Lazăr beim Berufungsgericht in Alba Iulia einen Antrag auf die Einstellung des Verfahrens zu seiner Abberufung gestellt, über den am morgigen Dienstag entschieden wird. Rumäniens Präsident Klaus Iohannis wollte derweil noch keine Entscheidung über die Abberufung des Generalstaatsanwalts treffen, solange dessen Anträge und Klagen noch nicht bearbeitet seien. Justizminister Toader hatte Ende Oktober die Entlassung Lazărs beantragt und sich dabei auf die Nichterfüllung gesetzlicher Pflichten des Generalstaatsanwalts berufen. Dieser wies die Anschuldigungen von sich. Unterdessen hat die Europäische Kommission einen kritischen Bericht im Rahmen des Kooperations- und Überprüfungsmechanismus für das rumänische Justizwesen veröffentlicht. Zu den Empfehlungen zählt auch die sofortige Einstellung der Verfahren zur Ernennung und Abberufung der leitenden Staatsanwälte.

Bukarest: Die EU-Justizkommissarin Věra Jourova unternimmt am Montag und Dienstag einen offiziellen Bukarestbesuch. Am Dienstag wird die EU-Kommissarin mit dem rumänischen Staatschef Klaus Iohannis, dem Justizminister Tudorel Toader, sowie mit anderen Würdenträgern zusammenkommen. Zweck des Besuches ist die Prioritäten im Bereich Justiz im Hintergrund der zukünftigen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft und die Entwicklungen im rumänischen Justizsystem zu analysieren. In Bukarest beginnt am Mittwoch die Konferenz der Präsidenten im Europäischen Parlament mit der rumänischen Regierung. Es beteiligen sich daran die rumänische Premierministerin Viorica Dăncilă, Mitglieder der rumänischen Regierung, der Präsident des Europäischen Parlaments Antonio Tajani, der Generalsekretär des EU-Parlaments Klaus Welle, sowie die Leiter der neun politischen europäischen Gruppen. Viorica Dăncilă erklärte, angegangen werden Probleme des zukünftigen EU-Haushalts, des Brexits und die Entwicklung der Sicherheitspolitik.

Bukarest: Mit dieser vierten Ausgabe des Festivals RadiRo markiert Radio Rumänien den 90. Jahrestag des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks am 1. November und den 100. Jahrestag der Großen Vereinigung am 1. Dezember. Alle Konzerte des Festivals werden von Radio Rumänien live übertragen, und von allen Radio-Mitgliedern der Europäischen Rundfunkunion ausgestrahlt. Bis Sonntag, den 25. November finden beim RadiRO acht klassische Konzerte und zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der Fetsspiele vier Jazz-Konzerte statt.

Cultural events produced by Radio Romania

On Sunday, the applause for the laureates of the Gaudeamus Book Fair almost overlapped with the first chords of the RadiRo International Festival of Radio Orchestras. Both are top cultural events and both are organised by Radio Romania, and were dedicated this year to the public station’s 90th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the Great Union of Romania. Now in its 25th year and held from Wednesday until Sunday in the biggest exhibition venue in Bucharest, the fair had the theme “Romania’s Centenary”, after dedicating previous editions to the United States, the Nordic countries, Israel and the Russian Federation.

This year, the Museum of Romanian Literature, in collaboration with Radio Romania and the City of Bucharest, exhibited 600 different volumes dedicated to the Great Union of 1918, when, in the wake of the First World War, all provinces with a majority Romanian population in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Russian Empire came under Bucharest’s control. Prizes of excellence were awarded at the fair to the publishers Stiinta, Arc and Cartier from the Republic of Moldova, a neighboring ex-Soviet state with a majority Romanian speaking population, and to Scoala Ardeleana and Casa Cartii de Stiinta from Cluj Napoca, in the north-west, Romania’s biggest city in Transylvania, for what the organizers described as “their admirable national editorial activity in the Centenary Year”.

Other prizes, based on readers’ choices, were awarded to Humanitas, Polirom and Nemira, the traditional leaders of the Romanian book market. Igor Bergler’s book 6 povesti cu draci (“Six Stories with Devils”) won the award for the fair’s “most coveted book”, while Vali Florescu won the best translation award for her rendition of Richard Ford’s Women with Men.

This week, the spotlight is on classical music. The Radio Concert Hall and the Auditorium Hall of the National Museum of Art are playing host to eight symphonic concerts and, for the first time at RadiRo, four jazz performances. The guests this year include leading international orchestras, conductors and musicians. Europe’s oldest radio orchestra, the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, returns to Romania, while three famous ensembles will be performing at Casa Radio for the first time: the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, from Great Britain, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, from Lugano, Switzerland, and the RTE National Symphony Orchestra from Ireland. All concerts are broadcast live by Radio Romania and are recorded and will be broadcast at a later date by the public television and by other radio stations that are members of the European Broadcasting Union.
