    Coronavirus en Roumanie – Evolution à la baisse de la pandémie en Roumanie. Dimanche, les autorités ont annoncé 565 nouveaux cas de contamination au SARS CoV 2, après quelque 18 750 tests effectués. Le groupe de Communication stratégique a rapporté 38 décès des suites de la Covid 19. 777 malades de Covid sont actuellement en soins intensifs. Désormais, la Capitale et tous les autres départements du pays sont en zone verte. Le taux d’infection le plus élevé est enregistré dans le département de Cluj (dans le centre-ouest) – 1,26 cas par mille habitants. Plus de masque dans la rue et plus de couvre-feu depuis ce samedi 15 mai en Roumanie, à l’exception des lieux très fréquentés, tels les marchés, les foires ou les arrêts des moyens de transport en commun. Dans la Capitale, les autorités ont décidé pourtant de ne pas renoncer au port obligatoire du masque auprès des écoles, puisque ce sont des lieux très fréquentés. Un nouveau record de vaccinations contre le Covid a été enregistré samedi avec 120 mille piqures en 24 heures. 25 marathons de la vaccination continueront aujourd’hui au niveau national, alors que le coordinateur de la campagne, le médecin militaire Valeriu Gheorghita, demande aux mairies d’identifier des moyens supplémentaires de vaccination adaptés à la spécificité des communautés locales. Depuis le début de la campagne, en décembre 2020, plus de 3,8 millions de personnes ont reçu au moins une dose de vaccin. 6,5 millions de doses ont été administrées jusqu’ici.

    Education – 90% des élèves roumains iront physiquement à l’école lundi prochain – il s’agit des 2,6 millions d’élèves vivant dans les communes où le taux d’incidence est inférieur à un pour mille habitants. Cela concerne 2.527 communes précisément, a informé le ministre de l’Education nationale Sorin Cîmpeanu. Les cours se feront en ligne dans les autres 654 communes du pays, dont Bucarest, où le taux d’infection dépasse un pour mille habitants. Selon le ministre Cîmpeanu, le contenu des examens de cette année a été adapté au fait que la plupart des cours ont été délivrés à distance, mais le niveau de difficulté des tests reste inchangé par rapport aux années précédentes.

    Volleyball – La sélection nationale de volleyball de Roumanie affronte aujourd’hui à Ploiesti, dans le sud, la Slovaquie dans le deuxième tour du Groupe E des préliminaires de l’Euro 2021. Samedi, les sportifs roumains ont été battus par la Suisse sur le score de 3 buts à 2. Le président Biden a également évoqué la sécurité des journalistes et réitéré l’appel à ce que leur protection soit assurée. Les ministres des Affaires Etrangères de l’Ue participeront mardi à une visioconférence d’urgence sur le thème de l’escalade des combats entre Israël et les palestiniens, a annoncé le chef de la diplomatie européenne, Josep Borrell.

    Coronavirus dans le monde – L’Italie renonce à la quarantaine de cinq jours imposée aux touristes européens, suite au relâchement de plusieurs restrictions. Les piscines en plein air et les plages sont ouvertes et les touristes peuvent enlever leurs masques uniquement lorsqu’ils sont sous le parasol ou dans l’eau. Après trois mois durant lesquels la quarantaine a été imposée aux voyageurs des Etats de l’UE, de l’espace Schengen, du Royaume Uni et d’Israël, à partir d’aujourd’hui pour entrer en Italie il faut uniquement présenter un test antigénique rapide négatif réalisé 48 heures avant le départ, et ceci même dans le cas des voyageurs vaccinés avec les deux doses. La Grèce a également ouvert la saison touristique aux étrangers. Pour pouvoir entrer sur le territoire de ce pays, il faut être vacciné, sinon présenter un test Covid négatif, ou la preuve d’avoir passé par la maladie durant les 9 derniers mois. Les autorités peuvent pourtant réaliser des tests rapides aléatoires aux poste-frontière.

    the new coronavirus across the country are applied. Thus, the protective mask
    is no longer mandatory outdoors, but wearing a mask is still a must in public
    transport stops, markets, fairs and in areas where rallies, processions,
    concerts or other types of gatherings take place. Traffic restrictions during
    the night have also been lifted, and restaurants, bars and terraces can stay
    open from 5 till midnight. Also, outdoor sports competitions can be organized
    and held, at 25% seating capacity. Cultural events are also allowed, with a
    maximum of 500 people who must follow certain rules. If the pandemic maintains
    its favorable evolution, with the decrease in the number of contamination
    cases, other restrictive measures will be lifted on June 1. On Saturday, authorities announced 729 new cases of Covid-19, out of 33,000 tests run nationwide. The Strategic Communication Group also reported 72 Covid-19 related deaths. Currently, there are 784 patients in intensive care.






    School. 90% of the Romanian pupils will physically return to
    school on Monday. There are about 2.6 million children living in localities
    where the rate of infection with the new coronavirus is below one per one thousand
    inhabitants. The Minister of Education, Sorin Cîmpeanu, has stated that there
    are 2,527 such localities. Another 654, including Bucharest, have infection
    rates above one in one thousand, and school will continue online. The Minister has
    also stated that the syllabus for this year’s exams has been adapted, due to
    the fact that most children attended online classes, but that the level of
    difficulty of the National Assessment and Baccalaureate examinations will
    remain the same.






    DNA. The general mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, announced
    that he has filed a complaint with the National Anticorruption Directorate
    (DNA) concerning an estimated damage of several million euros. Elected, in
    September 2020, as an independent, supported by the governing PNL and USR, the
    mayor says that the municipality registered the damage during the previous
    administration, led by the Social Democrat Gabriela Firea, currently a senator.
    The ‘criminal scheme’ is all the more ‘cynical’, as the cemeteries in Bucharest

    Volleyball. Romanian men’s volleyball national team meets, today, on home
    turf, in Ploieşti (south), the Swiss national team, in a new match from the
    second tour of Group E of the 2021European Championship preliminaries. The
    Romanians defeated Albania 3-1 on Friday, after winning the match in the first tour
    in Nitra, Slovakia. The winners of the 7 preliminary groups and the best 5
    occupants of the 2 places qualify for the final tournament of the 2021European
    Championship. The final round will be organized in four countries, Poland, the
    Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland, between September 1st and 19th. (MI)
