Câştigătorii concursului “Festivalul Internaţional al Orchestrelor Radio, RadiRo – ediţia a III-a”

Dragi prieteni,
Radio România Internaţional v-a invitat până la 1 octombrie 2016, data poştei,
să participaţi la un concurs de cultură generală cu titlul Festivalul
Internaţional al Orchestrelor Radio, RadiRo – ediţia a III-a. A fost un
concurs dedicat unui eveniment muzical unic în Europa, care a adus la
Bucureşti, pe scena Sălii Radio, 6 mari orchestre, dar şi solişti şi dirijori
de talie mondială.

Concursul a
trezit interesul dvs. şi am primit 198 de răspunsuri corecte şi complete. Vă
mulţumim şi vă invităm să participaţi şi la alte concusuri.

Premiile şi
menţiunile concursului vor fi CD-uri cu muzică simfonică românească şi străină,
lucrări de artă plastică semnate de artişti români, ca şi alte obiecte de
promovare culturală. Concursul a fost organizat împreună cu Liceul de Arte
Plastice Nicolae Tonitza, din Bucureşti, Editura Casa
Radio şi Electrecord.

Din emisiunile
RRI, de pe site sau profilurile Facebook, Twitter, Google+ şi LinkedIn aţi
putut afla răspunsurile la întrebări.

Concursul s-a
încheiat la 1 octombrie 2016, data poştei. Până să aflaţi cine sunt

COMMISSIONER – Romania risks being sanctioned by the EU because of its poor waste management at national level, EU commissioner for regional policies, Corina Cretu has said. She explained that 90% of the waste in Romania is not collected properly and unless this problem is solved in a short time, the fines will be significant. During a trip to Iasi, in eastern Romania, Corina Cretu told a citizens debate that the north-eastern part of the country, despite being the poorest, had the highest absorption rate of European funds between 2007 and 2013. The European Commission also highlighted the importance of cohesion policies across the Union and the need to fight populism and euro-scepticism.

BREXIT – British Prime minister Theresa May has today told the BBC that the country will formally begin the Brexit process by the end of March 2017.The prime minister confirmed the deadline for triggering Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which sets in place a two-year process of withdrawal. Theresa May also said she hoped there would now be “preparatory work” with the remaining EU members for a smoother process of negotiation.

UN – The permanent members of the UN Security Council have discussed a UN draft resolution on imposing a ceasefire in Syrias battleground city of Aleppo, France Presse reports. The draft text calls for a cessation of hostilities in Aleppo, in keeping with the American-Russian agreement of September 9th. A ceasefire monitoring mechanism would be set up with experts from the 20-nation International Syrian Support Group (ISSG) taking part. Following the meeting with the permanent council members diplomats were to hold negotiations on the text over the weekend, with a draft resolution to be circulated to the full Security Council on Monday.

PNL – Alina Gorghiu, the representative of the older liberals, will be the only president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), the second largest parliamentary party in Romania. The decision has been taken at the proposal of the former Liberal Democrats, now PNL members, who decided not make a nomination to replace the partys former co-president, Vasile Blaga, who resigned over corruption charges. According to anti-corruption prosecutors, Blaga was being investigated in a corruption case. The former Liberal leader is suspected of having awarded preferential procurement contracts between 2009 and 2012, while an interior minister and Senate speaker.

REFERENDUM – Hungarians are heading to the polls today for a referendum on whether parliament should allow the EU to set a quota for refugee resettlement in the country. In the case of Hungary, the quota is 1,294 asylum seekers. During the migration crisis Hungary became a transit country for the refugees heading towards Germany and other EU states. In August, Hungary’s prime minister announced that the country was planning to build a second fence to prevent refugees from crossing the border. It will stand next to its current 500km razor wire fence that runs alongside its border with Croatia and Serbia. About 8 million people have the right to vote in today’s referendum, and the presence of half of them is needed for it to be validated.

RadiRo FESTIVAL – For nine days, the RadiRo Festival, the only festival of this scope dedicated exclusively to radio orchestras, brought before the Bucharest public 6 symphony orchestras from Europe and Asia and 19 of the worlds top conductors and musicians: the Shenzen Symphony Orchestra, the radio orchestras from Norway, Leipzig and Vienna, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Radio Romania National Orchestra. This years concerts were broadcast live on the European Union Radio Broadcasting network and the Asia-Pacific platform of public and private broadcasters. All nine concerts were sold-out.

Politique — Le Parti national libéral, deuxième parti politique en termes de représentation au Parlement de Bucarest, aura un président unique en la personne de Mme Alina Gorghiu, de la part des anciens libéraux. Cette décision a été prise suite à la proposition venue de la part des anciens démocrates-libéraux, actuellement adhérents au PNL, qui ont abandonné l’idée de désigner un nouveau co-président, pour remplacer Vasile Blaga, que des accusations de corruption ont poussé à démissionner. M. Blaga est placé sous contrôle judiciaire, dans le cadre d’une enquête concernant l’octroi préférentiel de contrats de marché public pendant la période 2009-2012, à l’époque où il avait rempli les fonctions de ministre de l’Intérieur et ensuite de président du Sénat de Bucarest. Vasile Blaga aurait reçu 10% de commissions sur ces contrats, le montant de 700 mille euros étant destiné à une utilisation personnelle mais aussi aux caisses du parti au pouvoir à l’époque et dont il était secrétaire général, le Parti démocrate-libéral.

Commissaire — La Roumanie risque des sanctions au niveau de l’Union européenne à cause de sa mauvaise gestion des déchets, a mis en garde la commissaire européenne à la Politique régionale, Corina Crețu, actuellement en visite en Roumanie. Elle a expliqué que la collecte des déchets ne respectait, à 90%, les normes communautaires et que les pénalités à payer seraient très importantes, si ce problème national n’était pas résolu. Par ailleurs, Mme Cretu a participé samedi à Iasi (est) à un débat consacré au «Dialogue avec les citoyens ». L’occasion pour la commissaire de déclarer que le nord-est de la Roumanie, bien que la région la plus pauvre du pays, avait enregistré le plus grand taux d’utilisation des fonds européens pendant la période 2007 — 2013 par rapport au reste du territoire. Cette année, Corina Cretu a attiré à plusieurs reprises l’attention sur les risques générés par la faible absorption des fonds communautaires. L’enveloppe allouée au développement de l’infrastructure pourrait ne pas être utilisée, vu qu’il n’y a pas de projet déposé à Bruxelles pour l’exercice budgétaire actuel. Pour la période 2014 — 2020, la Roumanie s’est vu allouer 22 milliards d’euros.

RadiRo — La 3e édition du festival RadiRo, organisé par Radio Roumanie, a pris fin samedi soir, par un concert de l’Orchestre de la BBC. Seule manifestation d’envergure consacrée exclusivement aux orchestres de radio, le festival a ramené devant le public de Bucarest, 9 jours durant, 6 orchestres symphoniques prestigieux d’Europe et d’Asie, 19 chefs d’orchestres et plusieurs solistes de renommée mondiale. Les concerts, tous à guichets fermés, ont été diffusés en direct entre autre dans le réseau de l’Union Européenne des Radios, ainsi que sur la plate-forme Asie-Pacifique des stations publiques et privées, pour le plus grand bonheur de milliards d’auditeurs.

Référendum – En Hongrie, quelque 8,3 millions délecteurs participent aujourd’hui à un référendum où ils doivent se prononcer sur l’acceptation des quotas imposés par l’Union européenne pour la répartition des migrants arrivant sur le continent. La Hongrie était censée en accueillir 1.294, dans le cadre du plan européen de répartition de 160.000 demandeurs dasile adopté il y a un an. Pendant la crise des émigrants, la Hongrie est devenue un pays de transit sur la route des Balkans occidentaux vers l’Allemagne et vers pays de l’UE. Afin de réduire le flux de migrants, Budapest a fermé ses frontières avec la Croatie et la Serbie, une mesure qui a soulevé les critiques des ONGs actives dans le domaine de la défense des droits de l’être humain.

Brexit — Le Royaume Uni activera, avant la fin mars 2017, l’article 50 du Traité de Lisbonne, qui amorce le processus de sortie de l’Union européenne. C’est ce qu’a déclaré la première ministre Theresa May, à la BBC, ce dimanche, trois mois après le réferendum par lequel les Britanniques se sont prononcés en faveur de la sortie de leur pays de l’UE et qui a entraîné la démission de l’ancien chef du gouvernement, David Cameron.

Syrie — Les membres permanents du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies ont examiné un projet de résolution sur la Syrie, proposé par la France et censé faire surmonter le blocage diplomatique actuel. Le document, qui pourrait être finalisé lundi, prévoit le rétablissement du cessez-le-feu, aux termes de l’accord américano-russe du 9 septembre, et un mécanisme de contrôle de la trêve, avec la participation d’experts des pays membres du groupe international de soutien pour la Syrie. Selon l’AFP, les Russes et les Américains s’accusent réciproquement de l’escalade de la violence, notamment dans la région d’Alep. Les agences de presse informent que les raids aériens sur la moitié est de la ville d’Alep, contrôlée par des rebelles, ont entraîné la fermeture du plus grand hôpital de la zone. La Société médicale américano-syrienne, qui soutient cet établissement hospitalier, a fait savoir que le bâtiment avait été touché par les bombes.

Météo — Il fait beau et chaud pour la saison, en Roumanie. Les températures se situent entre 20 et 29°. A Bucarest, à midi, il y avait 20°.

9 seri cu casa închisă la Sala Radio: Festivalul RadiRo, la final

9 concerte sold-out din 9 evenimente programate pe durata festivalului, 6 orchestre simfonice de prestigiu din Europa şi Asia, 22 de solişti şi dirijori de top ai scenei muzicale actuale, în total peste 750 de muzicieni români şi străini prezenţi pe scenă, transmisiuni live pe satelit către un public potenţial de miliarde de ascultători pe mai multe continente: acesta este palmaresul celei de a treia ediţii a Festivalului Internaţional al Orchestrelor Radio — Radiro, organizat de Radio România, care s-a desfăşurat la Sala Radio între 23 septembrie şi 1 octombrie 2016.

Concertul de închidere al festivalului a fost susţinut sâmbătă, 1 octombrie, de BBC Concert Orchestra, sub bagheta dirijorului Barry Wordsworth, dirijor de onoare al orchestrei şi fost director atistic al Royal Ballet din Londra. Concertul a oferit o incursiune în repertoriul britanic contemporan, cu participarea violonistului Charles Mutter, a flautistei de origine română Ileana Ruhemann şi a lui Robert Jordan, interpret la cimpoi. Publicul a aplaudat prezenţa în sală a compozitorului Guy Barker, a cărui piesă, Concerto in One Act for Violin and Orchestra, a făcut parte din programul concertului. O adevărată surpriză, foarte apreciată şi aplaudată de public, a fost interpretarea de către orchestra BBC, la bis, a unei prelucrări inedite pe teme populare româneşti (Ciocârlia) şi internaţionale, într-un aranjament orchestral semnat de compozitorul Peter Cowdrey.

Jean Philippe De Tender, Media Director în cadrul European Broadcasting Union (EBU), prezent la festival, a transmis următorul mesaj: Este extraordinar că Radio România organizează Festivalul RadiRo, este o oportunitate unică de a promova şi de a aduce împreună orchestrele radiodifuziunilor publice. Ceea ce apreciez în mod special la Festivalul RadiRo este că aduce Europa şi restul lumii împreună. Au participat la RadiRo orchestre din Norvegia, Germania, Austria, Marea Britanie, România, dar şi, pentru prima dată, din China.

Barry Wordsworth, dirijor de onoare al BBC Concert Orchestra, a declarat la închiderea festivalului: RadiRo este o idee minunată, deoarece lucrul cu adevărat important pe care trebuie să îl facă orchestrele radio este să iasă din studioul de înregistrări şi să îşi susţină live concertele, în faţa unui public viu. Sper că Festivalul RadiRo se va întâmpla de multe ori în viitor şi că acesta este începutul unui lucru cu greutate, poate la fel ca la Jocurile Olimpice, astfel încât să putem merge în jurul lumii, realizând astfel de evenimente care aduc împreună publicul şi orchestrele simfonice radio.

Festivalul RadiRo s-a deschis pe 23 septembrie cu Orchestra Simfonică din Shenzhen, China, prima orchestră simfonică din China care a concertat până acum în România, sub bagheta dirijorului Lin Daye, cu participarea pianistei Zhang Zuo şi a violonistului Gabriel Croitoru. Au urmat, pe 24 şi 25 septembrie, două concerte susţinute de Orchestra Simfonică Radio NRK din Norvegia, condusă de dirijorul Miguel Harth — Bedoya, care a adus pe scena Sălii Radio doi solişti foarte apreciaţi în plan internaţional: trompetista Tine Thing Helseth şi pianistul Vadym Kholodenko. Agenda festivalului a continuat cu primul concert al Orchestrei Naţionale Radio la RadiRo, pe 26 septembrie. Violoncelistul Răzvan Suma a fost solistul invitat în prima parte a concertului, iar în partea a doua Orchestra Naţională Radio, Corul Academic Radio şi Corul de Copii Radio au oferit o impresionantă desfăşurare de forţe marca Radio România, în Carmina Burana de Carl Orff, sub bagheta dirijorului Cristian Măcelaru. Festivalul a continuat, pe 27 şi 28 septembrie, cu două concerte susţinute de Orchestra Simfonică Radio MDR din Leipzig, dirijată de Kristjan Järvi, director de onoare al festivalului, cu participarea a doi pianişti de notorietate internaţională: Denis Kozhukhin şi Stefano Bollani. Pe 29 septembrie Orchestra Simfonică Radio ORF din Viena, sub bagheta dirijorului Cornelius Meister, a oferit prilejul unic de a-l asculta live la Sala Radio pe celebrul violonist Gidon Kremer. Orchestra Naţională Radio a susţinut al doilea concert în cadrul festivalului pe 30 septembrie, sub bagheta dirijorului Leo Hussain, cu participarea violonistului Alexandru Tomescu. BBC Concert Orchestra a concertat în închiderea festivalului, pe 1 octombrie.

Concertele RadiRo au fost transmise live prin satelit cu sprijinul partenerilor din Uniunea Europeană de Radio şi Televiziune (EBU) şi din Uniunea Audiovizualului Asia-Pacific (ABU). Televiziunea Română a transmis în direct pe TVR2 concertul de deschidere şi a înregistrat concertele festivalului, care vor fi difuzate ulterior.

BUKAREST: Der Rumänien-Besuch der Regionalpolitik-Kommissarin Corin Cretu geht weiter. Im ostrumänischen Iasi diskutiert sie heute mit den Bürgern über die Herausforderungen, mit denen sich Europa konfrontiert, über die Prioritäten der EU-Kommission im nächsten Jahr und über die Vorteile der EU-Mitgliedschaft. In Iasi ist gestern Corina Cretu mit den Bürgermeistern der Gro‎ßstädte der Region Moldau zusammen gekommen um die Lage der Implementierung eines Pilot-Projekts zur Entwicklung der Nord-Ost Region zu bewerten. Die Region ist eine der ärmsten der EU. Laut der EU-Kommissarin lege Rumänien wenige qualitative Projekte vor. Deshalb möchte die EU-Kommission den Dialog mit den lokalen und zentralen Behörden intensivieren.

ROM: Die rumänische delegierte Ministerin für Auslandsrumänen, Maria Ligor, ist in Rom mit den lokalen Behörden und Vertretern der rumänischen Gemeinde zusammen gekommen. Die Ministerin hat in den letzten Tagen den italienischen Behörden die Initiativen der Regierung, die darauf zielen Rumänen zurück ins Land zurück zu bringen und die Investitionen zu stimulieren, vorgestellt. Diskutiert wurde auch über die Unterstützung, die die Rumänen, die vom Erdbeben in Italien im August betroffen wurden, bekommen. Bei dem Erdbeben starben 297 Menschen, darunter 11 rumänische Staatsbürger.

Commissaire – La Commission Européenne met à la disposition de la Roumanie plus de 300 millions d’euros pour moderniser le système sanitaire. Bucarest risque toutefois de perdre près de la moitié de cet argent, a mis en garde une nouvelle fois la commissaire européenne à la Politique régionale, Corina Crețu, qui est en train d’effectuer une visite en Roumanie. Par ailleurs, Mme Cretu a participé samedi à Iasi (est) au débat intitulé « Dialogue avec les citoyens ». L’occasion pour la commissaire de déclarer que le nord-est de la Roumanie, bien que ce soit la région la plus pauvre du pays, a enregistré le plus grand taux d’absorption des fonds européens pendant l’exercice 2007 – 2013 par rapport au reste du territoire. Corina Cretu a également mis en lumière l’importance des politiques de cohésion au niveau de l’UE, insistant sur la nécessité de lutter contre le populisme et l’euroscepticisme. D’autres sujets ont également figuré à l’agenda du débat mentionné : l’avenir de l’UE, le rôle de la Roumanie en Europe ou encore les opportunités et les défis que la Commission Européenne doit relever actuellement.

Diaspora – En
visite à Rome, la ministre roumaine chargée de la relation avec les Roumains de
la diaspora, Maria Ligor, a participé samedi à un Festival des Jeunes Talents.
Parmi les protagonistes – des jeunes de la diaspora roumaine qui ont obtenu des
résultats remarquables dans les domaines de la musique, des arts visuels, du
sport et autres, qui ont évolué aux côtés de jeunes d’autres pays, dont
l’Italie, le Danemark, l’Espagne et la Grande Bretagne. Samedi encore, Maria
Ligor s’est entretenue avec les autorités locales et avec des représentants de
la communauté roumaine. Elle a également présenté aux responsables italiens les
initiatives du gouvernement de Bucarest censées encourager le retour des
Roumains dans leur pays d’origine et stimuler les investissements. A l’agenda
des pourparlers également – le soutien accordé aux Roumains touchés par le
tremblement de terre qui a secoué l’Italie au mois d’août et qui a fait 297
victimes, dont 11 Roumains.

RadiRo – 9 jours durant, le festival RadiRo, la seule manifestation d’envergure consacrée exclusivement aux orchestres de radio, a ramené devant le public de Bucarest 6 orchestres symphoniques d’Europe et d’Asie, 19 chefs d’orchestres et plusieurs solistes de renommée mondiale. Il s’agit de l’orchestre symphonique de Schenezen, des orchestres des radiodiffusions de Norvège, de Leipzig et de Vienne, de l’orchestre de la BBC ou encore de l’Orchestre national de la radiodiffusion roumaine. Les concerts de cette édition du festival RadiRo ont été diffusés en direct entre autres dans le réseau de l’Union Européenne des Radios, ainsi que sur la plate-forme Asie-Pacifique des stations publiques et privées.

Météo – Il fera beau en Roumanie dans les 24 prochaines heures et très chaud pour cette période de l’année. Des pluies sont attendues uniquement sur l’ouest du pays. Les températures maximales iront de 20 à 29 degrés.

Commissaire – Samedi, au 2e jour de sa visite à Iași, dans l’est de la Roumanie, la commissaire européenne à la Politique régionale, Corina Crețu, discutera avec les habitants de la ville des défis que l’Europe doit relever actuellement, des priorités de la Commission Européenne pour l’année prochaine et des bénéfices de l’appartenance à l’UE. La commissaire visitera également l’aéroport international de Iași qui vient d’être modernisé à l’aide de fonds européens. Hier, Corina Crețu a analysé aux côtés des maires des principales villes de l’est du pays le stade de la mise en œuvre d’un projet pilote qui vise le développement de la région du nord-est de la Roumanie, considérée comme une des plus pauvres d’Europe. Selon la commissaire, le point faible de la Roumanie est le nombre insuffisant de projets de qualité. C’est pourquoi, la Commission Européenne souhaite intensifier le dialogue avec les autorités locales et centrales.

Moldova – Les récentes évolutions dans le contexte régional de sécurité et le parcours européen et euro-atlantique de la République de Moldova voisine ont été examinés vendredi à Bucarest par le ministre roumain de la Défense, Mihnea Motoc, et par son homologue moldave, Anatolie Şalaru. Selon le ministre roumain, il est souhaitable que la République de Moldova intensifie sa participation à la politique de sécurité et de défense commune de l’UE. A son tour, Anatolie Şalaru a affirmé que l’armée moldave était en train de traverser un ample processus de réforme, y compris à l’aide de la Roumanie. Il a également rappelé que les responsables de Chisinau avaient demandé l’aide de Bucarest pour remplacer par des représentants de l’ONU les troupes russes de pacificateurs de Transnistrie (région séparatiste russophone de l’est de la République de Moldova).

Diaspora – En visite à Rome, la ministre roumaine chargée de la relation avec les Roumains de la diaspora, Maria Ligor, s’est entretenue avec les autorités locales et avec des représentants de la communauté roumaine. Elle a également présenté aux responsables italiens les initiatives du gouvernement de Bucarest censées encourager le retour des Roumains dans leur pays d’origine et stimuler les investissements. Automobiles – Le Salon mondial de l’automobile de Paris a ouvert ses portes ce samedi. La Dacia Duster EDC est une des surprises préparées par le Groupe Renault pour cette édition. La voiture est exposée au stand Dacia, aux côtés des versions modernisées des autres automobiles la marque – Dacia Sandero, Dacia Sandero Stepway, Dacia Logan si Dacia Logan MCV. Rappelons-le, la toute première Dacia a été produite en Roumanie en 1966. Depuis 1999, la marque appartient au Groupe Renault et couvre environ 30% des ventes de la compagnie française. Récemment, Dacia a confirmé qu’une partie de la production d’automobiles Logan MCV sera déplacée au Maroc, à Tanger. Cette décision a été prise par Renault, qui détient 99% des actions de l’usine roumaine de Mioveni, afin de permettre à celle-ci d’accroître la production d’automobiles Duster, très demandées au niveau international.

Syrie – Les actions militaires croissantes de la Russie en Syrie poussent des éléments modérés de l’opposition syrienne entre les mains des extrémistes, a déclaré Mark Toner, porte-parole du Département d’Etat de Washington. A son avis, les nouvelles frappes aériennes russes et syriennes rendent « encore plus confuse » la situation actuelle qui est déjà difficile. A son tour, Moscou accuse les Etats-Unis de protéger un groupe djihadiste (connu sous le nom de Front al-Nusra) dans leur tentative d’éloigner du pouvoir le président syrien Bachar al – Assad. Selon l’Observatoire syrien des Droits de l’homme plus de 9000 personnes, dont 3800 civils, ont été tuées pendant les frappes de l’aviation russe depuis le début de leur intervention en Syrie, le 30 septembre 2015, pour soutenir le régime de Bachar al-Assad.

RadiRo – La 3e édition du festival international des orchestres de radio, RadiRo s’achève ce samedi soir à Bucarest par un concert de l’orchestre de la BBC dirigé par Barry Wordsworth. Vendredi soir, l’Orchestre national de la radiodiffusion roumaine est monté pour la 2e fois sur la scène du festival, cette fois – ci sous la baguette de Leo Hussain et ayant pour soliste le violoniste roumain Alexandru Tomescu. Rappelons-le, les concerts de cette édition du festival RadiRo ont été diffusés en direct entre autre dans le réseau de l’Union Européenne des Radios, ainsi que sur la plate-forme Asie-Pacifique des stations publiques et privées.

Tennis – Le duo formé de la joueuse de tennis roumaine Raluca Olaru et d’Ipek Soylu de Turquie ont remporté samedi l’épreuve de double dames du tournoi WTA de Tachkent, en Ouzbékistan. Elles ont eu raison en deux sets, score 7 – 5, 6 – 3, du duo formé de Demi Schuurs (Pays bas) et Renata Voracova (République tchèque). Pour Raluca Olaru c’est le 2e titre du tournoi de Tachkent, après celui remporté en 2008 aux côtés d’Olga Savciuk d’Ukraine.

Le coprésident du PNL, Vasile Blaga, a démissionné de ses fonctions ; il est sous enquête dans une affaire de corruption

Poursuivi sous contrôle judiciaire dans une affaire de corruption, Vasile Blaga, le coprésident du Parti national libéral, a démissionné de ces fonctions, et aussi de celles de coordonnateur de la campagne électorale. Il ne se portera pas candidat non plus aux législatives prévues en décembre prochain. Selon les procureurs du Parquet national anticorruption, les faits qui lui sont reprochés remonteraient à la période 2009-2012, lorsque Vasile Blaga occupait les fonctions de ministre de l’Intérieur et ensuite de président du Sénat de Bucarest. Il serait intervenu pour l’attribution préférentielle de marchés publics. Vasile Blaga aurait touché en échange des commissions de 10% de la valeur de ces contrats, soit au total 700 mille euros offerts pour lui-même et aussi pour le parti dont il était le secrétaire général, au pouvoir à l’époque. Il s’agit de l’ancien Parti démocrate libéral, qui a connu une scission entre temps ; la plupart de ses membres, avec à leur tête Vasile Blaga, ont choisi la fusion avec le Parti national libéral, tandis que les autres ont suivi l’ancien président Traian Băsescu dans le Parti du mouvement populaire. Les événements du PNL, survenus moins de trois mois avant les législatives, sont considérés comme un séisme au sein de la deuxième formation politique comme poids au Parlement de Bucarest.

Le gouvernement de Bucarest a adopté des mesures censées stimuler la création d’emplois

Cette semaine, le gouvernement de Bucarest a approuvé des stimulants et des mesures censées conduire à la création d’emplois. Ils entreront en vigueur au 1er décembre et soutiennent les catégories vulnérables, notamment les chômeurs qui doivent changer de domicile pour se faire embaucher ou de ceux qui souhaitent rentrer au pays pour y travailler. Selon le premier ministre Dacian Cioloş, c’est pour la première fois que les fonds européens et les fonds du budget de la Roumanie sont dirigés de manière cohérente afin d’avoir un impact réel sur le marché et sur la vie des gens. Ainsi, les personnes au chômage et qui décident de changer de domicile afin de se faire embaucher toucheront une prime d’installation de 12.500 lei (soit 2800 euros). Les chômeurs qui trouvent un emploi à plus de 15 km de leur domicile pourront bénéficier d’une subvention censée leur permettre de se déplacer sur les lieux de travail.

Les premiers avions F-16 achetés au Portugal sont arrivés en Roumanie

Les six premiers avions de combat F-16 des Forces aériennes roumaines sont arrivés cette semaine sur l’aérodrome militaire de Feteşti (sud-est). Ils ont été achetés aux Forces aériennes portugaises et ont été soumis à un ample programme de modernisation et pourront interagir avec tous les autres avions multirôle des Etats de l’OTAN. Pendant deux ans, les spécialistes portugais ont formé neuf pilotes et 80 techniciens roumains qui seront en charge de l’exploitation de ces appareils. L’escadrille de 12 avions F16 sera complétée en deux étapes par l’arrivée de 3 avions jusqu’à la fin de l’année en cours et de trois autres en 2017. Les spécialistes estiment que la Roumanie a besoin d’au moins 36 avions de combat, et les autorités cherchent déjà des variantes pour acquérir une deuxième escadrille. Le F-16 est l’avion multirôle avec le plus grand succès au monde, utilisé constamment dans la plupart des opérations militaires qui ont lieu sur la planète. Et c’est toujours cette semaine qu’il a été décidé au Conseil suprême de défense de la Roumanie de transformer la Brigade n° 2 d’infanterie Rovine, siégeant à Craiova (sud), en Brigade multinationale de l’OTAN. La Bulgarie et la Pologne ont déjà annoncé leur participation à la création de la Brigade multinationale.

Le président Klaus Iohannis et le chef du Sénat de Bucarest, Călin Popescu Tăriceanu, ont assisté aux obsèques de l’ancien président israélien, Shimon Peres, décédé mercredi à Tel Aviv, à 93 ans. Dans un message de condoléances adressé à son homologue israélien Reuven Rivlin, le président Klaus Iohannis affirme que Shimon Peres a été un leader visionnaire et un combattant indéfectible pour une solution durable pour le processus de Paix au Moyen Orient. Le peuple roumain, affirme Klaus Iohannis, se souviendra toujours de l’amitié sincère et profonde de Shimon Peres, le premier président israélien qui a visité la Roumanie en 2010. A son tour, le chef du gouvernement de Bucarest, Dacian Ciolos, a évoqué dans son message de condoléances transmis à son homologue Benjamin Netanyahu la personnalité emblématique de Shimon Peres, promoteur de la paix, reconnu au niveau international, par l’attribution du prix Nobel de la Paix.

Festival RadiRo

Le Festival international RadiRo, le seul événement européen d’envergure consacré exclusivement aux orchestres de radio, organisé par la Radiodiffusion roumaine, a fait venir à Bucarest six orchestres symphoniques d’Europe et d’Asie, des chefs d’orchestre et des solistes qui tiennent la tête d’affiche de la scène musicale internationale. Présent pour la première fois à cet événement, l’Orchestre symphonique de Shenzen a été choisi pour ouvrir la série de concerts, par la Rhapsodie roumaine de George Enescu. L’orchestre chinois a été suivi par celui de la Radio de Norvège, puis par les Orchestres des Radios de Leipzig et de Vienne. Pour la fin du festival, le 1er octobre, Fête internationale de la musique, c’est le BBC Concert Orchestra qui a été programmé. Un des ouvrages les plus spectaculaires de la musique de tous les temps, la cantate Carmina Burana de Carl Orff, a été interprétée, le 26 septembre, par les représentants de la Roumanie – l’Orchestre national de Radio Roumanie, le Chœur académique et le Chœur d’enfants de la Radio sous la baguette de Cristian Măcelaru. The co-president of the National Liberal Party Vasile
Blaga resigns his position over a corruption investigation

Under
investigation for corruption, the co-president of the National Liberal Party
Vasile Blaga has resigned from this position and that of campaign coordinator.
He also said he would no longer run in the parliamentary elections in December.
According to anticorruption prosecutors, Blaga allegedly used his influence to
award public procurement contracts in a preferential way while serving as an
interior minister and later as Senate speaker. In exchange, he is believed to
have received a 10% commission amounting to 700,000 euros. The money was used for
personal purposes and for funding his party, which was in power. The party in
question is the Liberal Democratic Party and Blaga was its secretary general at
the time. The party has since split, with Blaga and most of its members joining
the Liberals, while the other faction joined the former president Traian
Basescu and his new People’s Movement Party. The latest scandal surrounding the
National Liberal Party, which comes less than three months ahead of the
legislative elections, is seen as an earthquake in this second largest party in
Parliament.

Government in Bucharest takes measures to create more jobs

This week, the
government in Bucharest has approved a series of incentives and measures
intended to create more jobs. The measures will come into effect on the 1st
of December and target the vulnerable categories, in particular the unemployed
who need to move their residence in order to find jobs and the Romanians
working abroad who wish to return to their home country. According to Prime
Minister Dacian Ciolos, it is for the first time that European funds and state
budget funds are channelled in a coherent manner to have a real impact on the
market and people’s lives. For example, people who are currently unemployed and
wish to move their residence in order to find employment will receive a
relocation allowance of around 2,800 euros. Unemployed people travelling more
than 15 km for work will receive a subsidy to cover their travel expenses.

First F-16 fighter jets reach Romania

The first batch of six
F-16 fighter jets bearing the colours of the Romanian Air Force on Thursday
landed at the military airbase in Fetesti, southern Romania. The jets were
bought from the Portuguese Air Force, after undergoing a series of upgrades, so
that they may be able to operate on an equal footing with NATO’s other
multirole aircraft. For two years, Portuguese experts trained 9 pilots and 80
technicians on the operation of the aircraft. Another three jets are to be
delivered by the end of the year, and three more will arrive in 2017. Experts
say Romania needs at least 36 fighter jets, while the authorities are already
looking for options to buy a second squadron. F-16 is the world’s most
successful multirole aircraft, being constantly used in military operations
around the globe. Also this week, the National Supreme Defence Council decided
to turn the Rovine 2nd Infantry Brigade, based in Craiova, southern
Romania, into a NATO Multinational Brigade. Bulgaria and Poland also announced
they would contribute to the set-up of the Brigade.

Romania’s
President Klaus Iohannis and Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu on Friday
attended the funeral of the former Israeli Prime Minister and President Shimon
Peres, who passed away on Wednesday in Tel Aviv at the age of 93. In a message
of condolence to his Israeli counterpart Reuven Rivlin, President Klaus Iohannis
said Shimon Peres was a visionary leader who tirelessly fought for a
long-lasting solution to the Middle East peace process. The Romanian people,
president Iohannis also said, will always remember the sincere and profound
friendship of Shimon Peres, the first Israeli president to visit Romania in
2010. In a letter of condolence to his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu,
the Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos spoke about the emblematic
personality of Shimon Peres, a promoter of peace who received international
recognition for his efforts in the form of a Nobel Prize for Peace.

The RadiRo Festival comes to an end

Six different
symphony orchestras from Europe and Asia and some of the world’s top conductors
and musicians came to Bucharest this year for the RadiRo Festival organised by
Radio Romania, the only large-scale event in Europe dedicated exclusively to
radio orchestras. Taking part in the event for the first time, the Shenzen
Symphony Orchestra from China opened the festival with George Enescu’s Romanian
Rhapsody. The festival also featured performances from the Norwegian Radio
Orchestra, the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, the ORF Vienna Radio
Symphony Orchestra, the Romanian National Radio Orchestra together with the
Academic Choir and the Children’s Choir conducted by Cristian Macelaru, before
the closing performance of the BBC Concert Orchestra on the 1st of
October, on International Music Day.

EU Commissioner visit. Romania has more than 300 million euros at its disposal from the
European Commission to modernise its healthcare system, but it risks losing
half of this money, warned the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina
Cretu during a visit to Romania. During a trip to Iasi, in the east, she told a
citizens’ debate that the north-eastern part of the country, despite being the
poorest, had the highest absorption rate of European funds between 2007 and
2013. The European Commission also highlighted the importance of cohesion
policies across the Union and the need to fight populism and euro-scepticism.
The debate in Iasi also tackled the future of the European Union, Romania’s
role in Europe and the opportunities and challenges facing the European
Commission.

Romanians abroad. On a
trip to Rome, the minister delegate for relations with Romanians abroad Maria
Ligor on Saturday attended a Festival of Young Talent featuring young Romanians
from the Diaspora with remarkable achievements in music, the visual arts,
sports and other areas, alongside young people from Italy, Denmark, Spain and
Britain. Earlier, Maria Ligor met the local authorities and representatives of
the Romanian community in Rome. She also presented the Italian central and
local authorities with her government’s initiatives to encourage the Romanians’
return to their native country and stimulate investment. Talks also focused on
the support granted to the Romanians affected by the earthquake that hit Italy
in August, in which 297 people were killed, including 11 Romanian nationals.

Republic of Moldova. The recent developments
concerning the regional security environment and the European and Euro-Atlantic
future of the Republic of Moldova, an ex-Soviet state with a majority
Romanian-speaking population, have been the focus of talks in Bucharest on
Friday between the Romanian defence minister Mihnea Motoc and his Moldovan counterpart
Anatolie Salaru. Motoc was in favour of a more active involvement of Moldova in
the EU’s security and common defence policy. Anatolie Salaru said the Moldovan
army was undergoing a comprehensive reform process, including with the help of
Romania. He recalled that the authorities in Chisinau requested Bucharest’s
support so that the peace-keeping Russian troops in the pro-Russian break-away
region of Transdniester be replaced by UN representatives.

Paris Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show is under way between
the 1st and the 16th of October. Dacia Duster EDC is one

Group and accounts for around 30% of the French company’s sales. The Dacia
carmaker recently announced that some production of its Logan MCV model made in
Romania, at Mioveni, would be moved to the Renault factory in Tangiers,
Morocco. Renault, which holds 99% of the shares in the Romanian factory, said
the move would free up production space for an increase in the production of
Duster cars, which are in high demand in Europe.

sets. This is Raluca Olaru’s second doubles title, having obtained her first
also in Tashkent, in 2008, together with the Ukrainian player Olga Savchuk.

STATE FUNERAL On Friday, Romania’s President Klaus
Iohannis attended in Jerusalem the funeral of the former president of Israel
Shimon Peres. The Romanian head of state talked about Peres’s impressive
personality and his impact on the modern world. Also, Iohannis said that Shimon
Perez will remain in the memory of the Romanian people and of the world as one
of the most resounding voices of the fight for peace, tolerance and human
dignity. The funeral ceremony was attended by many political leaders and world
personalities, such as the presidents of the US, France and Germany, the
President of the European Council and the UN Secretary General. Shimon Perez,
winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace, died in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, aged 93.

STOCK EXCHANGE According to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Romania was
officially included on the Watchlist of countries that show a substantial
potential to become emerging markets, according to a decision of the Financial
Times Stock Exchange (FTSE). The Romanian stock exchange currently has the
status of border market. The monitoring period lasts minimum one year, so any
changes in Romania’s status will be announced in the intermediary report
published by FTSE in March, and the final decisions will be communicated along
with the publication of the annual report. The decision made by the Financial
Times Stock Exchange is a positive signal for investors, as it confirms the
progress made by the local capital market, regarding both the infrastructure
and the regulation framework, according to AmCham, the American Chamber of
Commerce in Romania.

CHILD TRAFFICKING Romania
must boost efforts to combat child trafficking, especially Roma children, as the
number of such victims has grown considerably in the past years. Also, the
victims must benefit from better assistance, reads a report of the Council of
Europe, published on Friday. The document says that Bucharest has made progress
in the past four years, when the number of children saved from traffickers has
increased. According to official data, between 2011 and 2015 more than 4600
victims of human trafficking were identified in Romania, of whom 1595 children.
Most of them had been sexually abused, forced to work or beg. Also, 252
traffickers were convicted last year. Council of Europe experts recommend that
Bucharest should pay more attention to the Roma communities and to migrants’
children, and stress the need for monitoring
the recruitment of seasonal workers abroad.

SYRIA Over 9,300 people of whom 3,800
civilians have been killed by Russian air strikes since the beginning of the
Russian intervention in Syria, on September 30, 2015, in support of Bachar
al-Assad’s regime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has announced. Over
2,700 victims were ISIS militants, while more than 2,800 were members of
groups opposing the regime. Moscow has been harshly criticized at the UN
Security Council meeting by the American ambassador, who defined Russia’s
intervention in Syria as barbaric. Russia’s actions were also denounced by the
ambassadors of France and Britain.

ELECTION The
presidential election campaign started in the Republic of Moldova on Friday.
The Moldovan citizens are expected to cast their vote on October 30, and elect
their president through direct voting for the first time in 15 years. As many
as eight candidates are running for president, and opinion polls present the
leader of the pro-Russian socialists, Igor Dodon, as favourite.

BRANCUSI The Romanian Government is considering an
extension of the public donation period for the purchase by the Romanian state
of the work Wisdom of the Earth by the great Romanian sculptor Constantin
Brancusi. The deadline for the current donation period is September 30th. Wisdom of the Earth is currently owned
by a private collector and is worth 11 million euros, of which the Government
will pay 5 million. The rest is to be collected from donations. The executive
was hoping to get at least 6 million from donations, but it has only managed to
get one million. Wisdom of the Earth was made in 1907 and together with other
works, such as the Kiss and the Prayer, marks the most appreciated period
in Brancusi’s artistic life.

RADIRO The most important
musical event this fall, RadiRo, continued on Friday in Bucharest. The National
Radio Orchestra performed for the second time at the festival, this time under
the baton of the conductor Leo Hussain and with violinist Alexandru Tomescu as

Simona Halep, ranking 5th in the WTA classification, has failed to
qualify for the final of the Wuhan tournament, with 2.6 million dollars in
prize money. Halep was defeated on Friday by the Czech Petra Kvitova. In the
final, Kvitova will take on the Slovak player Dominika Cibulkova. However,
Simona Halep has already secured her participation in the WTA finals in Singapore.

Rumäniens Generalstaatsanwaltschaft hat im Skandal um die Doktorarbeit der Leiterin der Antikorruptionsbehörde ein Strafermittlungsverfahren gegen Unbekannt eingeleitet. Die Anklage lautet Anstiftung zur Urkundenfälschung. Der Skandal war infolge einer Selbstanzeige des umstrittenen Abgeordneten Sebastian Ghiţă entfacht. Er hatte angegeben, gemeinsam mit weiteren Amtsträgern ein Gutachten gefälscht zu haben, das die Antikorruptionschefin Laura Codruţa Kövesi von den Plagiatsvorwürfen befreit hätte. Die Tat sei laut Angaben des Abgeordneten 2012 begangen worden. Die Antikorruptionsbehörde DNA ermittelt zurzeit in mehreren Strafverfahren gegen Ghiţă.

Ungarn hat die Aussicht auf den Bau eines Schutzzauns an der rumänischen Grenze relativiert. Der Zaun werde nur dann gebaut, wenn das Szenario unvermeidlich werden sollte, so Janos Lazar, der Kabinettschef des ungarischen Ministerpräsidenten Orban. Die rumänsichen Grenzschutzbehörden würden ihrer Tätigkeit professionell nachgehen. Täglich würden nur wenige Flüchtlinge aus Rumänien die Grenze zu Ungarn passieren, deren Anzahl sei viel geringer im Vergleich zu den Flüchtlingen aus Serbien und Kroatien, erklärte der ungarische Amtsträger.

Präsident Klaus Iohannis hat sich am Donnerstag mit Regierungsvertretern zum Thema Brexit ausgetauscht. Iohannis hatte am 24.Juni das Thema mit dem Premierminister Dacian Ciolos, dem Notenbankchef Mugur Isarescu, sowie mit den Parteichefs angeschnitten. Nach den Beratungen erklärte der Staatspräsident, Rumänien bleibe dem europäischem Projekt treu. Beim Treffen des Vorstands der Europäischen Volkspartei in Bukarest erklärte Iohannis, Rumänien wolle Teil des EU-Integrationskerns sein und sich kräftig in die Zukunft der Union engagieren. Rumäniens Vertreter äußerten sich zugunsten einer tiefgründigen Integration und eines mächtigen Europa.

Der Dacia Duster EDC ist die Überraschung der Renault-Gruppe für den Autosalon in Paris, der am Donnerstag für die Presse eröffnet wurde. Das genannte Modell ist beim Dacia Stand ausgestellt, neben dem Dacia Sandero, Dacia Sandero Stepway, Dacia Logan und Dacia Logan MCV. Das erste Dacia Automobil wurde 1966 in Rumänien hergestellt . Die Handelsmarke gehört seit 1999 der Renault-Gruppe und stellt circa 30% der Umsatzziele des französischen Konzerns dar. Die Dacia-Unternehmensführung hat vor Kurzem bestätigt, dass ein Teil der Produktion des Modells Logan MCV, das in Mioveni-Rumänien hergestellt wird, von der Renault-Fabrik in Tanger, Marokko übernommen werden soll. Das Werk in Mioveni soll in Zukunft seine Duster-Produktion ankurbeln, um die steigende Nachfrage in Europa zu decken.

Die ersten sechs Kampfjets vom Typ F16 sind am Donnerstag von rumänischen Piloten aus Portugal nach Rumänien geflogen worden. Am Mittwoch hatte im Beisein rumänischer und portugiesischer Amtstträger eine Zeremonie auf dem Luftwaffenstützpunkt im portugiesischen Monte Real stattgefunden. Die Flugzeuge wurden modernisiert und sind jetzt mit den anderen Mehrzweckkampfflugzeugen der NATO-Staaten vereinbar. Die sechs Maschinen werden im sudrümänischen Feteşti stationiert. Rumänien hat vor drei Jahren beschlossen 12 gebrauchte amerikanische Jets vom Typ F16 von Portugal zu kaufen. Dafür zahlte die rumänische Armee 628 Millionen Euro.

Das Festival der Rundfunk-Orchester RadiRo, die größte musikanlische Veranstaltung im Herbst, geht weiter. Am Donnerstagabend trat das Symphonieorchester des ORF aus Wien unter der Leitung des Dirigenten Cornelius Meister auf. Solist war der Violonist Gidon Kremer. Gestern hatte das Leipziger Symphonieorchester sein zweites Konzert gegeben. Werke von Strauss, Gershwin und Tschaikowski eroberten das Publikum in Bukarest. Das Festival, das als einzigartig in Europa gilt, geht am 1. Oktober zu Ende. Die Konzerte werden im Rundfunknetz der Europäischen Union sowie auf der Plattform öffentlicher und privater Radiosender Asien-Pazifik live übertragen.

BREXIT – Romanian President Klaus Iohannis holds a government meeting to discuss the Brexit. On June 24, the head of state talked to head of government Dacian Ciolos on the topic, as well as with national bank governor Mugur Isarescu and heads of political parties in Parliament. President Iohannis, speaking at the meeting of the European Popular Party Group Bureau, said that Romania wishes to be a part of the EU’s core of integration, and fully involved, sharing a pro-European vision built around the fundamental principles of the European project. He underlined the fact that a strong EU and more involvement for Romania in EU affairs are national strategies for the country.

COMMISSIONER – European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu is today on a visit to Romania to talk to Bucharest authorities about EC priorities and European fund absorption. The commisisoner will also be discussing projects financed by Europe, and take part in meetings with government officials and conferences attended by members of Parliament and local administration officials. This year, the European commissioner has repeatedly pointed out the risks of low levels of absorption of Europen funds in the country. Moneys meted out by the EU run the risk of being wasted since no project has been submitted in this fiscal period, according to Corina Cretu. Romania has been allocated 22 billion Euro for the 2014-2020 fiscal period.

F-16 – The first batch of six F-16 fighter jets arrive in Romania today. After yesterday’s ceremony at the Monte Real airbasae in Portugal, Romanian pilots bring the aircraft to the airbase in Fetesti, southeastern Romania, after two years of training. The planes have undergone upgrades, in order to be able to operate on an equal footing with other multirole aircraft in NATO’s air wing. The F-16 group will be refreshed by three more aircraft to be delivered by the end of the year, and three more to arrive in 2017. Three years ago, Romania put in an order for the American made 12 war planes to Portugal for a transaction worth 628 million Euro.

FOOTBALL – Romanian football champions Astra Giurgiu are playing against AS Roma away from home in their second game in the Europa League groups. In their first game, in Bucharest, Astra was defeated 2-3 by Austria Vienna. Also today, Steaua Bucharest, the national vice-champions, play at home against Spanish team Villareal, after getting defeated in Turkey by Osmanlispor 0-2. Next, Steaua plays against FC Zurich. The two Romanian teams reached the Europa League groups after getting eliminated in the preliminaries of the Champions League.

RADIRO – The RadiRo 2016 symphonic music radio orchestra festival has reached its sixth day, after a show put on yesterday by the MDR Radio Symphony Orchestra of Leipzig, the oldest radio orchestra in Germany, conducted by Estonian Kristian Jarvi, honorary director of the festival this year. The soloist was Stefano Bollani, playing four interludes from the opera Intermezzo, by Richard Strauss, Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwhin, and a suite from Swan Lake, by Tchaikovsky. Tonight’s show features the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Cornelius Meister, with Gideon Kramer as a soloist. The festival runs until October 1st.

TENNIS – Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, WTA 5th seeded, today qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament in Wuhan, China, a competition with prizes totaling 2.6 million dollars. She defeated American player Madison Keys 6-4, 6-2. She next plays against Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova.

AUTOMOTIVE – The Dacia Duster EDC car model is Renault’s most eagerly expected introduction at the Paris Auto Salon, featuring the latest in drive technology, the double clutch. It will be presented at the Dacia stand alongside the Dacia Sandero and Dacia Sandero Stepway, the Dacia Logan and Dacia Logan MCV. The Dacia brand was acquired in 1999 by Renault, and makes up for about 30% of its sales. Dacia recently confirmed that part of the manufacturing of the Logan MCV model, so far made in Mioveni, in Romania, will shift to Tangiers, in Morocco. The decision was made in order to boost output for the Duster model in Mioveni, against high demand in Europe.

Avions — La Roumanie a repris officiellement, mercredi, sur la base aérienne portugaise de Monte Real, les six premiers avions F-16 sur un total de 12, achetés pour 628 millions d’euros. Les aéronefs ont subi un processus de modernisation appelé Mid-Life Upgrade et sont en mesure d’interagir avec tous les autres appareils multirôle détenus par les Etats membres de l’OTAN. A présent, l’espace aérien roumain est défendu par des avions supersoniques de type Mig-21 LancerR, de fabrication soviétique, modernisés en coopération avec une compagnie israélienne à compter de 1995. Les Forces aériennes roumaines détiennent aussi des avions d’entraînement subsoniques de fabrication roumaine, ainsi que des avions de transport italiens et américains. L’Armée roumaine dispose aussi d’hélicoptères Puma et Alouette, produits en Roumanie sous licence française. Enfin, on retrouve dans l’équipement de l’armée de l’air des appareils de type AN-30, de fabrication soviétique, utilisés pour la photographie aérienne et la cartographie.

Corruption — Vasile Blaga, le coprésident du Parti national libéral, deuxième formation politique selon le poids au Parlement de Bucarest, a annoncé mercredi sa démission de ces fonctions. Et aussi qu’il ne coordonnerait plus la campagne du parti pour les élections parlementaires prévues en décembre prochain. Il ne se portera pas candidat à ce scrutin non plus. La décision a été prise après l’annonce par les procureurs du Parquet national anticorruption qu’il était poursuivi sous contrôle judiciaire, dans une affaire de corruption. Les faits remonteraient à la période 2009-2012, lorsque Vasile Blaga a rempli les fonctions de ministre de l’Intérieur et ensuite de président du Sénat de Bucarest. Il serait intervenu pour l’attribution préférentielle de marchés publics. Vasile Blaga aurait reçu en échange des commissions de 10% de la valeur de ces contrats, soit au total 700 mille euros offerts par Gheorghe Stefan, ancien maire de la ville de Piatra Neamt (est) et par un homme d’affaires.

CSAT — Le Conseil suprême de défense de la Roumanie a décidé de la mise au point d’une stratégie à long et moyen terme, censée améliorer les relations avec la République de Moldova voisine. « Notre relation doit devenir meilleure, plus performante, plus pragmatique et plus prévisible », a déclaré le chef de l’Etat roumain, Klaus Iohhanis, qui a présidé la réunion du Conseil. Il a aussi souligné que les partis politiques pro-européens de Chisinau sont en difficulté et a plaidé pour une approche très responsable de la relation bilatérale, sans attitudes populistes à enjeu électoral avant les élections parlementaires de Roumanie et présidentielles de la République de Moldova. Le chef de l’Etat roumain a fait ces déclarations alors qu’au Parlement de Chisinau l’opposition pro-russe a initié une motion de censure à l’encontre du gouvernement moldave de coalition, ouvertement pro-occidental. Le leader socialiste Igor Dodon, roumanophobe et anti-européen virulent, est donné favori par les sondages sur les intentions de vote au premier tour de scrutin présidentiel, qui aura lieu le 30 octobre.

Commission — Le ministère roumain des Affaires étrangères a salué, mercredi, la publication des résultats des travaux de la commission internationale destinés à éclaircir les circonstances du crash du vol MH17. Selon ces résultats, l’avion civil malaisien abattu, en 2014, dans l’est séparatiste de l’Ukraine a été touché par un missile lancé d’une zone de conflit contrôlée apr les rebelles prorusses. La démarche de la commission est un acte riogoureux et indépendant censé aussi produire des conclusions pouvant conduire à ce que justice soit faite — écrit le ministère des AE de Bucarest dans un communiqué. Il demande à tous les Etats qui sont en mesure de soutenir l’enquête de coopérer pleinement en vue d’identifier, d’établir et de porter les responsables devant la justice. Rappelons qu’en juillet 2014, l’avion de Malaysia Airlines s’est écrasé dans l’est de l’Ukraine, alors qu’il effectuait le vol Amsterdam – Kuala Lumpur. Aucune des 298 personnes à bord n’a survécu.

Décès – Lancien président israélien Shimon Peres, décédé dans la nuit à 93 ans, est le dernier des trois lauréats du prix Nobel de la paix décerné pour les accords dOslo à séteindre. Ces accords, signés en 1993 à Washington puis en 1995 à Taba en Egypte, ambitionnaient de favoriser « un règlement global et durable » entre Israéliens et Palestiniens et suscitaient un immense espoir à travers le monde. Lhôte, Bill Clinton, reçoit Shimon Peres, alors ministre des Affaires étrangères, ainsi que le Premier ministre israélien Yitzhak Rabin et le leader palestinien Yasser Arafat qui se serrent la main sous lœil des photographes. Lannée suivante, les trois hommes reçoivent le Nobel de la Paix ensemble récompensant « leurs efforts pour créer la paix au Moyen-Orient ». Shimon Peres est le dernier représentant d’une génération qui a édifié l’Etat d’Israël. Il a été le chef du département de la Marine du ministère de la Défense pendant la guerre d’indépendance et il a joué un rôle important dans le développement des industries militaire et aérospatiale israéliennes. Shimon Peres s’est rendu en Roumanie à plusieurs reprises. Selon le correspondent de la radio publique roumaine en Israël, il admirait beaucoup les Juifs originaires de Roumanie, disant qu’ils étaient venus en Israël en silence pour s’intégrer parfaitement. Le président roumain Klaus Iohannis et le président du Sénat Calin Popescu Tariceanu ont annoncé leur participation aux funérailles de Shimon Peres.

RadiRo — L’événement musical le plus important de l’automne, le Festival RadiRo, continue à Bucarest. Au programme ce mercredi : Richard Strauss, Gershwin et Tchaïkovski, avec l’Orchestre symphonique de la Radio de Leipzig — soit l’orchestre de radio le plus ancien d’Allemagne et un des plus innovants d’Europe. Organisé par Radio Roumanie, le Festival international des orchestres de Radio, RadiRo, a lieu jusqu’au 1er octobre.

Football — Le club champion de football de Roumanie, Astra Giurgiu, se trouve déjà en Italie, où il affrontera, jeudi, le AS Rome, dans son deuxième match de poule de la Ligue Europa. Jeudi également, le vice-champion Steaua Bucarest recevra, à domicile, les Espagnols de Villareal.
